@@KingKatRiderHi Kevin have you thought about having a dog.they are good company and do listen when you get a little low.and they do understand. Best Wishes from UK ❤❤
I'm 67 so a different generation. I deliberately pick fishing and camping spots that have no internet. Spent many years as a kid working and living alone in isolated spots. It's good for the sole. Exercise and reading a book always kept me level. Good channel kid. A old guy in PG. BC. Cheers 🇨🇦
I'll be 62 Nov 1st, I love remote places without people. I adopted a dog as I started out as you Kevin. Boondock will be 7 years old Oct 17th. Myself, I could do without all the technologies of today really, but I do have the phone to talk if I wish, or watch RUclips Videos. But I know you've said having a dog at this point isn't for you, but my dog ended all the lonely feelings for me while Boondocking.
I keep busy by carving wood. I carve Swiss Mantel clocks and sell them. I keep busy by myself doing that and then subject myself to the population to sell them. I like to stay connected too. That doesn’t drain me though. It is only contact with others.
because I'm a Christian, I know I am never alone. but talking and having people around every once in a while helps even if you are a super introvert. yep it is hard. your tips are priceless and keeping busy is always good no matter where you are.
Thank you for the morning coffee and chat in your kitchen. Thank you for mentioning the place on the Forestry Trunk Road where Wildhorse Meadow is and wanting to stay there longer because of its remoteness and beauty. It’s why I love that place! When you are talking to each of us, in your camper, on the slopes, on the trail, at the top of a mountain, on the lake, know that we are there with you in Spirit, and you talking to us and you include us in your adventures. It’s an awesome way to share it with me and so many other people who love those things, too, and let’s us be out there for a while again, too. Being lonely occasionally, when it’s remote, or when it’s in town, and you’re realizing it when it’s happening, and how to manage it, to get through it to a good place again. When I’m in the backcountry with no service and no other humans around, wildlife comes around more, and you can observe them without the distractions of other human interference. Sometimes it’s wild horses and deer, sometimes it’s squirrels and birds, sometimes it’s wolves, and they’ve come to check you out, too. Avoid the cats and the bears, if you know they’re around you should leave and go camp somewhere else. You become part of that community and the communication between different species. Also bring some plant books and really learn your plants when you go for your walks, you can get plant identification and other kinds of field guide books to teach yourself more about what’s really out there. Learn the poisonous plants so you can avoid them, learn the edible plants, learn the plant and animal community.
Kevin, love your videos! I used Audible a lot when I was working then I retired and now making better choices on how I spend my money. Guess what, your public library has audio books, music, podcast, movies and more! All you need is a library card. It’s all free online, so you can check out an audio book from anywhere. I check out books before I go on vacation usually for the driving or flying part. It’s free and there are no late fees, you just log in to extend the rental. ( at least here in AZ)Thanks for your videos! I checked and Canada offers the same.
Ive always enjoyed my own company. I like people in small doses, so talking to someone for a bit on a trail or at sork for a few minutes is enough connection for me. Nothing wrong with that.
You deserve 100k subcribers🎉 CONGRATULATIONS!! After watching Alone I really didn't think about people getting lonely like that. Especially grown men it was very interesting. Now I sure could see it. I've always worried about our elders that way which is sad. I would like to have someone with me to share my adventures. Great topic👍.
Thank you for being on youtube! I know I've said it before, but I live vicariously through you! Lol! Loneliness sucks, to be sure. I'm an introvert too. Its easy to crawl into my own shell. But important to stick my neck out here n there n say hi to other humans! Good coping skills you have! Enjoy every day to the fullest!
Kevin, Thank you for the conversation. You are for real my friend. It’s interesting to reflect on this subject. My initial thought is considering the distinction between the feelings of loneliness, solitude or freedom.
I am so glad that I am a small part of 10,000 people that you talk to, especially if you get lonely . I also think you are doing a very good job of picking topics to talk about but where I think you really shine is when you take us on adventures and show us gorgeous video of good old Mother Nature herself. Keep up the good work. LOVE FROM IOWA! 😊❤❤❤
Hey Kevin .. Nothing wrong with being lonely. I am alone but always Happy !! Just continue staying active ! Continue the great vids !! Being alone is the new thing !!
30 years ago and again 20 years ago, I visited Banff and I remember getting a hotel room or sit down in a restaurant without a reservation! The streets and hiking trails were virtually deserted and elk, moose and mountain goats could be seen frequently throughout the park. After my recent trip in September, I couldn’t believe the number of people on the trails, the packed parking lots and traffic jams! I did not see any wildlife because of the ruckus created by all the people, I had to get reservations at least 6 months ahead of my trip. After 10 days in the park, I was ready to go into isolation to get some peace and quiet, which is what I thought the park was supposed to provide. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to Banff. I’ll most likely follow you around in British Columbia and bother you! Being alone can be lonely, but with Starlink or other connections to friends and family can certainly help. So if you feel lonely, spend a few days in Banff during the tourist season and you will long for isolation!
I can’t agree more about Banff, feels like an actual amusement park lol I don’t mind getting on a longer hike but I avoid going into the town at all costs now
OK, I'll go first!😅 Good on you, addressing this very human topic.👍👍 (I'm sitting in my van in a parking lot outside my dentist's clinic! The joy.) You are right about getting busy or going for a walk. Have a great day, everyone.👍😎🇨🇦✨️

I agree I was living in an apartment, now I live in a RV there is no difference ❤❤❤❤❤ But time has come far for me. I’m more comfortable being alone now❤❤❤❤❤ thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
As an introvert myself who, in my old age, has become a recluse, I had wondered how you handle all the aloneness, especially at remote campsites without Starlink. Happy for you that you now have Starlink! This video was very interesting, and I appreciate that you shared personal details of your life. The hardest thing for me would be if I didn’t have dogs. I know that won’t work with your situation (you’ve talked about that). Anyway, great video!
I have 4 cats I've had since they were kittens and they all know I'm their papa and all 4 of them are a blessing and very loving and personable as well. Get yourself a furr baby of some kind that best suits your situation and be prepared to love it more than you ever thought you could/would! There's tons of loving animals just waiting to be adopted, but don't pull the trigger till you're 110% sure you're ready and when/if you do you'll never be lonely again 🙂
So many beautiful places, I would want to share a campfire with a friend. I don't mind being alone and reading quiets my mind. It can be entertaining or educational. I can tell you read all your comments, so that's interaction with all of us. And appreciated. I'm alone now as a widow, and often need to get out of my house and my head. Being outdoors in nature is the best way to do that. When and if the time is right, I hope you'll have a partner or a sweet pet to share your life with. Enjoy today Kevin. 🌲
Love being alone! But if your around beautiful nature you forget about it, as beauty is everywhere and you can go to a bar or restaurant to meet people! 🇨🇦❤️
I am 67 and seriously I’ve been to my 50s. I thought I had to have companionship and whatever I have been on my own for about 10 years now not doing anything close to what you were doing. I am still contemplating. I applaud you. I pray that God will guide you and keep you strong in your endeavors and keep you safe. hopefully soon I’m gonna venture out there to do the things that you were doing. I know my children will freak out. But oh well.
Hi, I,stumbled on your channel because I am an avid RVer and am now a subscriber. I really liked your video. I am an introvert but that doesn’t mean I’m antisocial, people get that confused. I really enjoy having time to myself and even crave it. I’ve camped many times over the past 40+ years, alone with my pets. Friends and family think that’s “odd” but I love it. When I am around people, I don’t t have a problem with striking up a conversation but I don’t “need” to be around people 24/7. My wife is very extroverted and likes to be around people 24/7 and socializing. We are very different from each other but we’ve been married for 35 years and it works. In any event, I like and understand what you said and where you are coming from. I look forward to watching your channel! Thanks for, sharing.
I think it makes a big difference if you're an introvert or an extrovert.....I often love the feeling of no one else around and I don't have that opportunity asuch as I like stuck in a city. 68 here.
I absolutely cannot WAIT to be alone. Just me and the wilderness. I never feel lonely. I live in a big city and I am surrounded by way too many people. lol

I enjoy your content, and the sights of beautiful Canada. I'm a few years away from retirement and have a full time job, so can't travel all that much yet. But I do seasonal weekend truck camping in my Bigfoot camper, and mountain biking every chance I get. If you ever come through Central Washington State (US 97) and need to stop for supplies, fill your water tank, or empty your holding tanks, you are more than welcome to stop by. My home's driveway has a dump station. We also have some great camping around here, with only about a 45 min. drive to get to the timber of the Eastern Cascade Mountains. Not as scenic as where you travel, but still can be quite nice. Looking forward to more of your videos.
I don’t feel lonely or loneliness when I am by myself. It actually recharges me! When I am around large crowds, lots of family members, or more than 6 or 8 people on the trail, that’s enough for a short while. It is just draining. I have to separate myself from that activity after a 3 hr. period for at least 30 min. to be able to go another couple hours. My parents took me to doctors when I was a kid. They worked out with the school to allow me to eat at a picnic table my dad built in the break area of the school by myself. I am very introverted. I suspect you are similar.
I prefer solitude sometimes as well. Nice walks with just the pooch and being alone at the cabin with him for a bit, totally gives me that fix I need. It's my woosah time. 😌
There is a difference between being alone and the feeling of loneliness. Social media is good but does not replace in person human interaction. Wisdom from an introvert. 😅. I like being among a few close friends. What's difficult is writing comments. Not the wanting to write them, just finding the words.
Maybe a pet would help. There are great companions. I found writing helps, it's like I'm talking with someone. Face time with family or friends helps. I think the hardest thing for me was laughing with someone.
Hi Kevin, great video, I've been on my own now since the 90's, I'm a sociable guy but I've adapted to it now, just myself and my dog, especially after Covid I've been sticking to myself, but my daily adventures help, I meet lots of people on the trails and I try to enjoy every minute I have left. I just love exploring the island on my days off. if ever your back in the Campbell River area get a hold of me and do a hike. Just like you I live alone with a 3 bedroom house & my dog Buddy LOL. Cheers. Stay safe!
Other than missing my kids, I absolutely love being alone in my homemade camper. But I also photograph and film wildlife so theres always something to do. Ive spent several weeks in the camper and never get bored and don't think I ever could. Ive been thinking about starting a channel.
Now I am older, much older than you, I do not have an issue to go to a bar and pick up a lady in 2 hrs. So confidence is what you need for a lady friend!
I wonder how does one have a furbaby when solo traveling in a camper ? Where is the pet left while shopping doing chores away from the camper and so on. I am thinking hot car fatalities. It's great to see your subs growing, Kevin. Thank you for sharing.
I like being alone 90% of the time. I spend most days just chilling in my apartment, made possible because I can work from home. The other 10% of the time I'll go hang out with fam or with my friends. Sometimes just going out for a hike or something does the trick too. But I 100% need internet, hence why there's both a nice 5G/LTE router and a Starlink in my closet.
I’m an introvert. Any time I feel the need to be around people I just go to Walmart 30 minutes of dealing with the idiots in there and I’m ready to be by myself again 😂
Im alone in the middle of a city surrounded by people who want nothing more then to ruin someone elses day. the only family I have left is my dad. I grew up the odd kid out,so you know what that means.... Ive been alone my whole life. if it was not for the internet and video games Id be.. well I dont want to think about it. I know Id thrive in solo van life. and I cant wait to get my ducks in a row and get out of this city!
It's better to be alone than being with someone thats just feeding off your energy for there benefit. If i could turn the clock back i should've listened to my heart and watched for red flags. Kevin pay attention to these life lessons. Or you will be in a bad situation like me right now. Im 68 and seperated from my narcissistic wife. I sould have clued in on this long time ago. We didn't have internet back when i was a young man. Stay focused and happy travels my friend.
When you're young, it's really hard being away from your family. It's something that if you haven't experienced it you just won't understand. When you get past 50 you start to just accept the life, it's probably a rut that you just live.
I retired 2 years ago at age 50 and have traveled all over the US and Canada 30 days out and 2 weeks home. Im big in the outdoors wilderness dispersed camping in a tent. Dude get a dog. I have a great all around Chesapeake Bay retriever. Don't need people or anything. She's a great lonelyness killer. I never get to the point I am seeking out people. Listening to you makes me think you are not ready for this type of life style. Just my observation.
Cultivate a few special friendships by keeping in touch. It's important. Walking talking prayers to Jesus. He understands loneliness, he is always there and he loves us. ❤
are u getting thoughts of 24/7 in BC....lol....great video!!....i have a cat suits me fine, litter box & wet food....now a female partner where do i begin....lol
Never really had a problem with loneliness. After all when you're boondocking in the middle of nowhere you don't expect to be around people. Listen to a radio or watch movies on my computer. If you're dispersed camping on BLM land like at Quartzsite or in an RV park there's lots of people to socialize with. It's all your choice.
❤🐕 You're Way Off, the Fact of the Matter is that You Need to Visit an Animal Shelter. You Need a 🐶Pooch🐕. They're Fantastic Hiking Buddies, There're Literally 1,000's Upon 1,000's of Animals that Need Homes...
First things first, quit spending so much time inside your head and start seeing the life around you. Internal over thinking will make you unhappy everytime.
Rough when you're young. A friggin blessing when you're old.
Exactly, with ya there brother. Other folks and their stupid woke BS have just become something I want to avoid. And I do.

Thank you so much! Bigfoots are awesome campers!!!
@KevinWaldsAdventures Thanks! I do really like it. It's a 2018, sitting on a dually. Love the combo!
Good Discussion there’s a lot of people out there like that 👍👍🙏🙏
I don’t feel lonely or loneliness when I am by myself.
Keep going I know you’re you’re going to hit 100,000🎉🎉👍🙏🙏
Do it!!!!
Simple, stay busy and distracted. When you can, mingle at a bar, or any other location with people.
When you're young, it's really hard being away from your family. It's something that if you haven't experienced it you just won't understand. When you get past 50 you start to just accept the life, it's probably a rut that you just live.
😊 I was wondering how you did with being on your own, being in remote areas. Maybe just say hey to a fellow camper
Have you considered getting a dog? People with dogs are easy to talk to. And dogs are the best companions!
Get a pet for loneliness.❤❤
Well hello beautiful eyes 👀 Kevin hope you're day is going amazing yu always do amazing truck camping
You need a pup Kev, perfect lifestyle for a dog 🐕
Kevin I share all your videos on my Facebook page publicly
Thank you!!! 😊
are u getting thoughts of 24/7 in BC....lol....great video!!....i have a cat suits me fine, litter box & wet food....now a female partner where do i begin....lol
If I did RUclips that would probably be enough for me with the comments!
Hey Kev ! Had you ever thought about meeting a friend or partner that has a truck camper that you both could travel around together ?
You need a dog friend. They love you always and everywhere.
You can get a dog or cat to take with you. You would be surprised how they can help with loneliness 🐕🐈⬛
From reading your comments I think you have a whole bunch of groupies out there. No reason to be lonely.
Regardless of your life's situation, being alone / managing loneliness is a bitch.
❤❤❤❤
❤🐕 You're Way Off, the Fact of the Matter is that You Need to Visit an Animal Shelter. You Need a 🐶Pooch🐕. They're Fantastic Hiking Buddies, There're Literally 1,000's Upon 1,000's of Animals that Need Homes...
If you're a dog or cat lover, that's an option you might want to consider. I am addicted to reading.
Wait, you’re not just talking to me!! lol loneliness can be messy. I mean you’re hot, go flirt 😜 enjoy your videos.
First things first, quit spending so much time inside your head and start seeing the life around you. Internal over thinking will make you unhappy everytime.
I'm a trucker. Try that. Disrespect on roads to top it off. We keep your family. Alive with delivery of my loads. But home 2 times a year....
Man up. You chose the job and you are appreciated for it. Thank you
lot of us told you to get a dog. Way more subscribers and likes. It also would solve loneliness. But not your lifestyle you said
What about getting a dog?
Get a dog...go to the shelter and get a dog...best company
You could try squatching 🦶🏿😵💫
A one-word solution: dog
get a woof woof
Why wear a cap let your hair breath or you'll kill the hair if want to go bald wear a cap let your hair breath
