You guy's musical chemistry is amazing! Great sounds you two create! Awaiting my MPC One as we speak, like a day away from touchdown! Can't wait to allow my music lab to expand with a new Key Tool! Be watching more of you two! Thanks for doing what you do!!
Thanks for the kind words! And congrats on the MPC One. It's a great box. It definitely has a learning curve! Tons of little shortcuts and tricks that I'm still learning to this day. Cheers! 💖
@@TeftyMeems good luck! I did a few beats on BeatStars... but have stopped. I guess I struggle with the idea of selling content for other people to use. I tried it and am glad I did, but not for me in the end (at least for now, lol)
Great performance! Very interesting content on the channel - thanks a lot. One question, if it will not disturb You - describe, pls rooting of the mic - are effects synchronized with MPC?
Thank you! 🙏 Vocal routing is the usual chain. RND 511 preamp into an opto compressor and then fet compressor (like an 1176). Some verb to taste. We always multi track into ableton when we're ready to record a jam. This way we can come back to it months or years later and produce a finished track (without having to completely recall the hardware setup) Thanks for watching 💖
@@TheGhostBuddy this was before the major upgrade where you could just plug in any class compliant interface into the MPC one, and there being some amazing vocal effects in the MPC
thank you so much Tefty for this video-great someone clear precise and to the point lol Funny thing I said the very thing about the shift butt should e on left side of unit What a VOICE !!
[Commented this same comment on another video of yours but it's an older video so I'm commenting again] I would love to hear your thoughts on the Maschine Mk3, been watching a few of your videos and you seem like a reasonable person. Of course people have certain biases, I've seen maschine bias people mostly in Maschine vs MPC One videos. Watching your videos I feel like you might be more MPC One bias, so that's why I'd like to know your opinions. Maschine MK3 does midi out too and if you add a laptop you have so much more with all the NI stuff. Or go Maschine Plus if you want DAWless, but I just really want a VS video from you! I humbly request! Thanks!
I totally would if I had Maschine MK3! I owned the OG mk1 version back in the day and loved it. I’ve had my eye on the stand alone version of the MK3 but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Maybe this fall? Thanks for the support on the vids ❤️🙏❤️
Machine+ standalone is the only thing you can compare MPC One to, and frankly - NI’s latest update to it seems to have missed the mark. Akai constantly releases updates to the MPC and continues to knock it out of the park. If you’re looking at anything tethered to a computer, you’re missing the point of standalone boxes like this.
Been following heaps of your stuff. Thought I'd jump on here to ask a question, do you find the Levels of the inbuilt synths quieter than the drums or other inputs? I also use the Arturia... not sure if that's why?

I would buy this song. Nice job!
Keep on making such videos, really great stuff to see your creative process!!
nice sound real dope
Nice! Would love to hear you explore an expansion or two...
I like that idea! We're also creating an expansion pack of our own currently. More on that to come. Thanks for watching! 💖🙏
@@TeftyMeems funny I was going to suggest that. Memes has amazing vocals... i know I’d consider buying.
Curious, have you tried BeatStars or another beat selling service?
Not yet. I've done a fair amount of research on the services. But haven't officially started posting.

Such a lovely voice , good video cinematography
Watching you think through everything is really cool.
Thanks for watching 🙏

What mode should I use if I want to make Originals using my keyboard / synth?
Been following heaps of your stuff. Thought I'd jump on here to ask a question, do you find the Levels of the inbuilt synths quieter than the drums or other inputs?
I also use the Arturia... not sure if that's why?
Typically I just adjust input trims on my mixer for volume discrepancies 🤔 Some devices absolutely vary in volume, though
awesome as always!! What cables are those in the main of the mpc?
Thank you! Seismic Audio patch cables 👍
Hey 👋🏽 Is there way to but a one note sample in Legato mode? Thank you for sharing Sir.
For a single sample, you can create a mono instrument and simulate legato. It won’t be true legato like a dedicated synth, though. (Glide etc)
@@TeftyMeems that is exactly not what i am looking for but thank you for your answer.
In your dawless setup, how do you record the audio? What do you use?
probably some kind of audio capture device or software. some cameras let you route audio input
Can you hook it up to a computer as well?
Yes, the MPC can act like an audio interface and controller for a computer setup. But I prefer standalone 👍
Agree, the SHIFT is in a shit location.
