I feel like I should be more excited about the idea of StormClan, but I am jumping with joy about the wildcats! Seeing the cats interacting with another feline species makes me so happy

If I had a nickel for each time a official new clan was formed because of a romance, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. (Tigerclan for a onesided romance, and now Stormclan)
i've had an ancient headcanon that tigerstar was actually part-scottish wildcat, to explain his aggression and larger stature, not super related, but its fun to have the wildcats acknowledged in the books.
I haven't read the book but I doubt either leader knew about thunder's mother. So them naming it storm clan is an unintentional show of respect to the first thunderclan leader in a way.
I agree, to be fair we don’t know how long it’s been and how long the clans have been alive, so it just doesn’t really make sense to make it a nod to storm

My biggest criticism (maybe less criticism and more…well I don’t know what else it would be, a funny joke in my mind)is that the warriors cats books are only NOW doing what warriors cats fans have been successfully doing for since the first books came out. Moonpaw having Heterochromia, two leader cross clan relationship, introducing wild cats, stormclan for gods sake. It’s all kind of funny to me.
Oh God, that part in the book where Galestar had said she was happy not to be in StarClan broke my heart. Their story was heartbreaking. I actually really liked this super edition. It was a very good look into how grief can just cause you to be stagnant in life if you don't move on. But moving on doesn't mean forgetting. It just means that you accept the loss.

Guys...My sibling and I figured out that Stripestar and Galestar were during after Owlstar and Gorsestar. Because the third leaders Whitestar and Duststar have no ancient names with the clans. For example: Ryewhisker and Cloudberry.
Other names were Tumble Leap, Stalk Purr, Prowl Sleek, Spring Claw, and Hunt Growl. These are ancient names example: Moth Flight. So the names are ancient and are from after Owlstar and Gorsestar's reign. Because Owlstar, he was the leader after the death of Thunderstar. Gorsestar was the leader after the death of Windstar. This is my thoughts with my sibling.

I like the way StormClan was created.
Me and my partners wrote a series of fanfics revolving around our fanmade Clans and one of them was made just like that: two leaders saying: "You know what? To Hell with everyone! Let's become one, because I want to be with you!".
The second one ìwas made from more Clans uniting as well, but not out of relationship reasons and had a different hierarchy, ancestors and laws.

At first I thought "Dang, another Clan?" but I actually really like this concept.
I wonder how the cats across the globes live.... Like the feral cats in Australia, the U.S, and Egypt in this universe since the five clans are in England.
Are we sure the clans are actually in England, considering their have been raccoons, beavers, and of course a Mountain Lion in the series.
They meet a mountain lion, which are NOT european. When I read the second series I half-seriously headcanoned that the new territory is somewhere in North America. Its wayy too close to the old forest to make sense but it is a pretty funny image imagining the cats somehow reaching mainland europe and then walking through middle & eastern europe towards the north, crossing over somewhere around Russia and Alaska. Now THAT would have been a wild series.

@@LionSlashMeteorPowerShower europe does have beavers naturally and racoons as an introduced species. Personally I assume the writers just play fast and loose with that - tho it is suprising we havent seen hedgehogs (if it was set in europe) or skunks/Opossums (if its in america) before. Also all depictions of midnight I have seen make her a european badger.
@@lagggoat7170 oh wow, well if Europe does indeed have raccoons and beavers, than I suppose it's possible that a mountain lion could be there, perhaps someone's pet that escaped, as far as I remember Sharptooth was the only mountain lion in the entire series.
Hot take: I actually love the concept of StormClan.

Oh this is gonna be fun for the translators. I know in finnish, Thunderclan is translated as Stormclan (propably because the literal translation wouldn't have sounded as good next to the other clan names, also in dawn of the clans Storm and Thunder's names are flipped to fit the existing tanslation) and now they have to figure out what to swap this new clan's name for, so that it still fits as a merging of Windclan and "Stormclan".
I don’t even read the books anymore. I just get information drip-fed to me through RUclips and Reddit these days, and every time I get some new update all I can ask myself is: “what is this series!? Why does it keep going!?”
Hold on, if you can return a cat to star clan by renewing the memories of them, why is Spottedleaf still gone?

Wait, I made that exact StormClan story, two-leader forbidden romance and all, 11 years ago. It was even called StormClan! I am very confused now…

I remember reading Bramblestar storm and headcanoning that Jessy would rename herself Stormstar create her own clan named Stormclan and stuff
The stormclan super edition might follow Stripestar and the rest of stormclan after they lose Galestar. It can show the divide of which cats left back to the clans to reform thunderclan and windclan, and if stripestar doesnt follow with some other loyal warriors, it could be about where they go and what they do. I hope it does follow this plot because I feel the other half of the story was spoiled too much. What happened after Galestar was lost is less clear on the stormclan front.
The thing that made me the most mad about this book is the sisters how little they care for the toms they mate with they basically just spit in the toms faces and tell them sorry toms dont travel with us so you'll never see me or your kits again and feel no remorse what so ever
This is nothing new unfortunately, the sisters, at least higher ranked ones barley care about their own male kin, their behavior is to be expected at this point. Hopefully their opinions on Tom's change in the future though.

not sure what to think about the new information regarding faded spirits, on one hand the closure is nice. on the other hand, i think the spirits just disappearing for good has much more of an impact.

the whole Story about Stormclan and the wild cats was so interesting
I love this book so much! I love how it connects everything and gives answers to what happens to cats after they fade!!
Maybe some of the wildcats might return to the lake Clans with Ivypool with the others and reform StormClan, along with loners, rouges, and kittypets(that haven't been fixed)!
That way the rest of the Clans will continue to remember StormClan for generations.

I guess so and it’s probably just the cats from thunder and windclan coming toghether as one clan (Probably some disagreeing and leaving but still)
Personally I am not a fan of Stormclan because it just feel like they will do another Skyclan storyline and hot take I don’t believe it should be called a “ real sixth clan “, even within the story of Stormclan it sounded like it was an extremely short term clan that most likely lasted only a season. The mentions of one Leafbare from starvation kinda hinted toward the clan only experiencing one winter.
There is one way the writer team could win me over and it is to force on the details that Galestar and Stripestar are flawed narrators. There some hints toward this fact because when Galestar mentions that cats that dislike the idea of Stormclan she kinda brushed it off. Here the thing, what if they weren’t and there was more to the story of Stormclan. In this idea of Stormclan could force on “ why “ the clans never merge outside of the forest needing five clans. In this story it forces on two selfish cats that only wanted a way to go around the code without actually fixing issues within clan culture. It never stated if Galestar or Stripestar were good leaders, for all we know they were pretty terrible and that is the true reason why they left. From the brushing off cats that dislike that idea could show that Galestar and Stripestar only forced on themselves really.
Some more proof that Galestar and Stripestar are flawed narrators is from Thunderstar reaction in stating there is more to why Stormclan is forgotten. That it possibility something even darker then what is shown. There is also one line of dialogue that may hint also toward the clan being unstable and that mentioned by Rosebush getting into alot of argument. At first you would assumed that this was based on just his own characteristic, but it also stated how a Starclan cat was watching him the entire time. Why would Starclan cat be watching him, that then I started wondering if the mentioned of the two cats that didn’t like the idea came up. That it is possible that the reason why Rosebush was arguing against other cats was because so many cats didn’t like the idea.
In the end I hope this isn’t a story like Skyclan and more of a tale of two selfish leaders that forced too much on themselves than their own clan. That it stated that the other clans were jealous of the fact they had more prey, even when Stormclan stated they were also struggling. For all we know this could be false, has this is a biased story by one cat.
I'd love to see more one-off Clans in the future.
I love how they hinted towards the faded spirits being one with the earth type of thing with Rootspring saying he could feel Bristlefrost. Perhaps that lineage of cats has some special connection to faded spirits?
I wanna see more of the wildcats in the future imagine them having a cross with the clans

i was so exited when i saw the title...but i just feel like stormclan will be a forgotten plot point! (like millies vaccines, sol, or othe villains) i mean- maybe it will be brought back but i will eventually be forgotten forever..i just have a feeling

In the book, Ivypool was told she was decended from StormClan, when she was really decended from the cats who left StormClan and went back to the forest

Lol Stormclan was my first fanfic clan; which is based off on a tropical island that endures storms that are also wild cats which had a exotic breeder/smuggler which was destroyed in a big storm causing four clans to form; as well as technically a fifth clan that was built of Rouges remaining in the debris destroy twoleg area.
Stormclan has the largest but most dangerous territory facing the worst of the roaringwinds,etc, Stoneclan which stayed on the highest point of this island, oftentimes being the most brutish and arrogant, Bogclan that is in the more calmer wetlands, and Meadowclan that upholds the flattest area of the island neighboring the rouges.
Had a really intensive lore, and had this story for yeeeears. Lol, I remember it was well loved in Miiverse where many roleplayed the clans that I had written up or drawn fanart. Such great memories.

What I love is that the wildcats are the only ones that the clans ARNT trying to change! Ivypool even mentions in one chapter that the elders could take a leader position in the clan, and how helpful it could potentially be for clan life moving forward after seeing the respect the wildcats elders received! So hyped for this new era of warriors

I feel like I'm the only Warrior Cats fan who doesn't want there to be yet ANOTHER Clan.
honestly, i love modern warrior cats plots (stormclan, imposter bramblestar, riverclan's past, etc) feeling like fanfic. because fanfic is actually FUN TO READ! i love the vicky era but i was getting so bored of the same thing over and over again, it's a series about talking cats living in the woods, we need more whimsy and less border squabbles and entire arcs where barely anything happens until the end.
