The controls are so bad, you have to basically tug your joystick to move it. Still beat this though. Haven't tried the og gunship Calvary bc it's a sidescroller
One thing I hate is that my PS2 is so old, that when you die on this level, it bugs it out and you have to reset the whole thing, and so I have to see that first cutscene 100 times, so I can’t beat it
Ah reading the comments im so glad im not the only one who found this hard. After some practice finishing isn't too bad.. but filling up that jedi meter thing.. im planning to get the invincibility thing before i try that
I set my kids (5 & 9) with my xbox and lego star wars. Couple hours go by and they come get me.. "Daddy, can you help us?" Yeah sure buddy, be right there... 35 minutes of yelling and cussing later, I got it done for them. Holy shit how were little kids supposed to beat this game??

I highly recommend giving The Complete Saga a go if you only ever played the original. They made certain levels like this one in particular a lot more fair and less frustrating.

In the original Lego Star Wars? Yeah. The timing is extremely harsh, especially for this early in the game. They neutered the difficulty dramatically for The Complete Saga, and I imagine that it will be as easy in the upcoming Skywalker Saga too.
There is something screwy about this level for me. After the cutscene when Mawhonic explodes and the game resumes, I don't have enough time to reach the boost, and pass the falling rock before it kills me. But once in a blue moon it works normally like a game is supposed to. Has anyone else had this same thing happen?
The only think you have to do is to press up botton in order to go faster. I realise it after a month. I used only left right and couldnt reach him. Keep pressing up button to run and left right. I did it with my son finally

At 1:17 look at the crowd and those people on of them is a 2d Podracer ANAKIN! I thought he was in the race not in the crowd look closely and then you will see it.

This is the best podracer race I´ve seen since Episode 1 Racer on Nintendo 64. I love the engine movement the podracer has.
