- These are the worst / bad dayz base locations on version 1.11 that are some of the easiest bases to raid. This gameplay is recorded on PC offline mode. If your looking for an easy raid, check these buildings. This is the opposite of the best base locations videos.

I’m returning to the game after a long time away.
Why on earth would they nerf the ability to build in the larger wooden barns? They’re perfect spaces to hole up for groups on account of the damn things being empty!
I still use the small barn as a base location still for a couple of reasons:
the holes on the top can be turned into very easy and simple traps, line two walls facing the hole and cover the lower portions in barbwire, they can’t break out even if they wanted to unless if they really want to get 7 cuts (if they can shot though the wall). And when somebody gets killed, just put metal wire on one of the fences and you can collect the loot
The small cracks aren’t that big of an issue so I usually cover up the big one with a wall. You’ll be surprised how many people tried to raid me but they don’t even bother trying to shoot inside with the cracks
Finally, I don’t store shit load of loot, a couple shelters and small tents and maybe a handful of crates is really all I need, I don’t need car tents or anything that big, the biggest thing I usually store in those bases are a car
As for the gates just slap barb wire on the top, problem solved

I never cared much about the base building in DayZ, as it is easily the most under-developed aspect of the game and you can tell that the engine also doesn't lend itself to that type of stuff. The base building meta, as it is and has been for a while, is silly anyway. Like just place a bunch of wooden gates that clip through two meters worth of wall. Then place a tent and an improvised shelter in the living room of granny's house. It just looks and feels absolutely goofy. Plus, as soon as it gets spotted by a squad or a member of same, it is about to be raided really soon.
If I want a stash, I just dig in some chests or place an improvised shelter in the middle of nowhere. Much more reliable and way easier to setup. Base building in DayZ feels like a feature, that they shoe-horned in there, because other survival games had it, too.
Well, Dayz mod had it first really, and was on _every_ server. It was insanely popular and in high demand. Without persistent loot storage people were saying standalone was a downgrade from the mod.
I do agree though. Without mods, base building is pretty janky. Mods like base building plus do make it a bit better though. I think the engine can handle it fine, I just don't think the devs are the greatest.
I have built successfully in every one of those buildings - The Big Red Barn I never wanted to try that one all the other ones if you block it off properly you're good

I had a base in a small barn like that, I had 2 large tents for me and my friend and space for a car and all kinds of barrels and crates. I blocked off that peep hole where they can shoot you through. My base lasted 6 months without being raided once until the wipe came and erased it. It was in the town Kamensk on a community server.
That's why I'm saying fill in the holes
On my server we're currently building in a barn blocked all the gaps up with walls and building a wall with towers all around the base
Based are bad
Camps made with improvised shelters in low pine woods are the best
And buried stashes in a nearby area but not too close
Only keep food and easy to acquire tools in the camp itself

Honestly outside of the big red barn everywhere else is viable. If all viable access points are blocked off it can take hours to access a base, unless the raiders have a stockpile of grenades to blast through walls quickly, and even then that's assuming they time the raid right when none of the base owners are online/in the base ready to fight back. Actually spent the last 4 days defending a base in a glass factory, killed several (pretty sure half of them were smurf accounts) before grabbing everything worth keeping and logged out. Everything else left behind they destroyed by lobbing grenades and ruined all tents/crates/barrels and badly damaged/ruined everything that was in those containers. Ultimately they wasted alot of grenades and gear just to get a whole lot of nothing (other then breaking down the few remaining walls to get some planks and a few nails)

I fortified a fancy apartment in the middle of a city that doesn't spawn a lot of zombies but does spawn a lot of loot. The apartment is in a descreet location and few will ever find it let alone break into it.
Severograd Apts
The Red barn is literally one of the best spots at least on modded. You can only raid through gates on our server and bases must remain raidable so no Barb wire bs. The Red barn has an insane amount of loot space, allows for multiple stories, you can store cars inside, and all the holes can be vlocked off with just 10 or so walls. Thats nothing considering you find enough gear at tisy in one run to buy like 100 packs of nails

Try playing a real server. You have rules protecting your base not you.

this is actually because ive once got a base in regovo the long barn , got raided and everyone knew where our base was and it sucks cause we get constant raids every week , and they would get in by glitching or somehow , so no long barns

I hate how he says these are the worst locations to base at if you are playing with no mods completely understand but if you have mods like build anywhere these can be super solid locations in my opinion if you know what you are doing
The big red barn is easy to block off all those openings me n a friend did it and NEVER got raided or boosted in and a buddy of mine had a fire station base and was never raided you just have to block evrrything off and be smart
The small barn is a great bade location if you know how to fortify the entrances.
You can definitely place buildings in barns. Maybe just not car tents

Nice I'm at the singke project building north of electro... used to be in the double building but they patched so when you jump balcony s you can't go in the apartments anymore. Glass is reall and balcony door doesn't open. Used to be best spot
Im building in a red barn atm its other color i blocked of stairs i can easy get out on the stairs but not in, the ladder has barbed wire trap and im closing the hole atm, its gonna be a barbed wire stronghold, with double entry doors and multiple watchtowers, h8 finding nails though
I had a pretty good base design in 1.08 which made it so it would take 3 walls to get to loot in a small barn but the annoying thing is, the devs are constantly changing the collision of fence kits so I can no longer make it
Go to a server with build anywhere mod
This is vanilla only. Modded servers you can easily stack tier 3 walls and barricade literally anything

And me and my 10 people clan
We blocked all the entrances
Then we maked like a parking slot for our 5 trucks and 4 cars
Need to add Tisy platforms to the list. Super easy to get into, and makes server owners rage & ban whole teams for raiding.

in my opinion. if u are an experienced player u can build anywhere.. and make everything a stronghold.. for example my friend have over 10k hours on Dayz and we didnt get raided single time. even when there was car glitching etc. anyway great vid show us next time best places for bases :)
Cap no way you haven’t been raided at least one time unless you’re playing on a dead server
@@runescapeiwatchvids we played on different servers, Most of time its about whos groups ego is bigger, for example i have recorded one raid atempt on my Chanel... And another example we are currently playing one russian server As trio and our base is Getting stormed by clan of atleast 8 ppl like week on row and still nothing.. When u know how to deal with dayz you are pretty much okay

Its easy to build in a red barn as long that a owner spawn walls for them
I allied with some guys that turned the Kabanino factory into a base you can see from miles away. We're on a PvE server, but I know it's only a matter of time before someone disregards that and raids them. The best base is one with the least likelihood of being discovered.
if you mean the vybor factories, then yeah those are hard to defend lol
You cant hide anywhere. Not on a small island. Not in the middle of the woods. My best location was hiding in plain sight. But eventually every location is discovered.
I play in a community PVE server with base destruction turned off. This is on console. I had the base in the big long barn and it was still raided. I was using the airlock method for my walls. And they still got through. We had so many people’s bases raided within that week. They wouldn’t even take anything. They dump everything on the floor and blow it up with grenades. They destroy the players cars, they will empty the tents and turn the tents around to where it’s facing the wall making it inaccessible. They do this knowing they will be banned. We found out they been using under map glitches to get into the base. It continues to happen in our server.

I currently have two canopy’s inside of the barn base
your able to store all of the tents in the big barn but not the small barn
@@tazzar8514 You can't place Car tents in the big barns now either. Large tents works, but it's a forget about it for car tents.

Anywhere i am at is the worst location. I raid everything. I don’t even keep anything, I just throw it all in deep water

100% confirmed can place large green tents in those barns, at least on Xbox
You no longer can place any tents in there as of 1.15, tried with the car tent, canopy tent and even a medium tent. Only one I haven't come across to try is the large tent
