After a couple of years in this hobby you realize that the snobbish attitude that a lot of people have regarding some fragrance is lame and uncalled for. The moment I smelled Myslf at Macy's I knew it was something special, and at the same time the fragrance "connoisseurs" were blasting this. And don't get me wrong, it's ok not to like it, but the level of hate was too much, it just shows how petty a lot of people are.

Ever since the crazy success of BDC and Sauvage, every company has made ambroxan the main staple of their releases and it just becomes extremely redundant. Once you have a healthy amount of bottles you start to be really picky!
Most people trashing it don’t dislike it because they think it’s bad, but more because they don’t need another ambroxan based frag.

That is 1 reason I used to love working at a nice store with a perfume section, I got to smell all the expensive & new fragrances & I got to spray myself with something different everyday or the same if I fell in love with something ❤

Didn't try the Le Parfum yet, but YSL myslf is inoffensive and such a pleasant scent that I really love it. The price is way too high IMO though.

YSL myslf le parfum, Eros energy, and a men fantasm are my most hyped fragrances to get my nose on at the moment.Hopefully YSL myslf le parfum gets easier to find soon!
Eros energy I’m hyped for but there’s no sign of release in the US anytime soon, and we’re halfway through the summer. They’re messing up not releasing it yet.

Fragrance snob here….i love the edt! Bought a 10 ml to try it out and blew through it in a month. Super versatile, smells of quality and has a surprisingly addictive dry down.
Myslf doesn’t come in edt
It’s exciting to see myself become the new sauvage/bleu de Chanel. This will promote the other two big brands to partake and maybe come up with something new
I got my PR package in the mail rn from YSL. I'm excited to give this one a try! The original Myslf I'm not super into. This one sounds more my style
As an owner of 7 YSL fragrances the one thing that I notice is the Parfum versions of YSL fragrances tend to not be attention getting fragrances like the EDP’s tend to be. YSL Y EDP is one of my most complimented fragrances and the Parfum version in my opinion is a better fragrance but has gotten me far less compliments. I had a sample bottle of Myself and the attention was there but I haven’t picked up a full bottle yet because I have 300 plus bottles in my collection already. I’m interested to see what the reaction Will be to this flanker because YSL Perfums don’t typically perform all that well.

It smells like a starchy pressed shirt with subtle sweetness and powderyness.. it’s similar to Frederick Malle Acne Studios but in a more mass appealing less dense version

its insane pricing. and Ysl fragrances are supposed to be cheap. le parfum for around 180 dollars, that is madness in a bottle. And ash says le parfum is to be expected to be more expensive. Grats ash, you have just been brainwashed into accepting prices like that.
At this point, I'm going to switch to niche when I'm paying for upwards of 200+ dollars or more. most designer fragrances is meant to be cheap, below 100$. now designers want above 100$ for a 60ml that is not elixir. And even elixir fragrances are way to expensive.

The original Myslf is a rather simple, straight-forward fragrance, but people out there love it, probably because it is not challenging at all, and you´ll get compliments. I don´t understand the hate. I haven´t smelled the new one yet, but will check it out as soon as it is available in my country.

Is it really a Parfum concentration… or is it like Y Le Parfum, which is just an EDP Intense?
YSL uses Le Parfum kind of loosely, and not always indicative of the concentration.
I was having the same thought, le parfum could be just marketing. and as you said it could just be EDP. and EDP intense is not a concentration, it's just a marketing and excuse for them to charge more. Ash should really check the concentration sticker on the bottom of the bottle and show the viewers what the concentration really is

Sounds very appealing, I have the original myself and I do love it but I'm hesitant to buy this one only because at this point I have so many fragrances in my collection that I'm going to feel guilty in purchasing this one but I'm probably going to end up buying it anyway because it does sound very interesting I'm just going to be worried that it's going to smell like something that I already own and my scent of the day is Mancera aqua wood

Tried at Macy's sprayed 3 sprays on my arm it becomes a skin scent within a half hour , I got wafts of it throughout the day , the edp is better imo

Exactly what I said when I got to smell it like 2 weeks ago amber vanilla and less fresher .
First time I smelled MYSELF, instant hit. A buddy bought a bottle after he smelled me. I got compliments after compliments. These frag snobs actually are out of touch.

Love it or hate it. It will sell big time. I like it so far. Not as bright as the original but sticks around on my skin much longer than the OG.
The average person at the mall knows nothing about fragrances😂. So yes it will sell big time. But doesnt mean the fragrance is worth the $$ for what it is. As you get experienced and get your nose on different fragrances that are actually unique. These all become boring.

I drove a hour and a half to pick my bottle up at my closest Nordstroms, LUCKYELY I got mine cause they wouldn't put it on hold for me even tho I told them I was coming from 2 states away. BUT I GOT IT THANKFULLY 👍🏻

@rookie_breaks it is awesome, i collect fragrances, so it's totally worth it to me to drive, Definitely darker than the edp. Edp is fresher more chances to wear the edp, the le parfum is more a fall and winter scent, and a cool spring night. I dig it for sure, but don't listen to the haters until you get your nose on the juice.

I have a 3.4 ounce bottle of MYSLF edp that is 99% full ( no box but I have receipt from Macys ) . Looking for Ysl Y Le parfum , if anyone has a bottle and is interested in a swap let me know .
It costs about $5 to mass produce. The prices they sell for are crazy

He's using hyperbole, but he's correct that the markup is insane... Watches, fragrances, mattress all insane markup. To get it on the shelf in a store is probably $20-$30, including warehouse, transport, everything including the ingredients.

IMHO It's basically a Tuxedo MYSLF with all the bourbon vanilla & black pepper. Redundant for me to get the Le Parfum. I own Tuxedo & original MYSLF.😂

I think the original myself smells like a straight-up laundry detergent to my nose It is quite boring baring in mind I've smelt 1000s of fragrances so to an untrained nose, this probably smells like the best thing to have ever been created and I can see the appeal for this fragrance. the amount of hate it has gotten though is silly and uncalled for yes its one of those crowd-pleaser boring scents that's impossible to offend anyone wearing but these types of scents sell incredibly well and tbh even in my snobbish opinion the scent is quite pleasant just not something id personally wear and that's okay fragrance is subjective
