Blame Labour, Greens and the Maori Party for this nonsense. Vote them out in October.
It won't make a shred of difference whom you vote for because the 'world government' is in charge!
Totally agree the constant whining, excuses, bludging has got to be stopped its 2023 for goodness sake
All governments carry on with what the last govt didn't get finished, it was John Key who started it, Luxon claims he won't work with the Maori party, in the meantime he is learning their language & if he needs them to form a govt then he will work with them
@@greatwhite9428 it will never be finished that would mean the handouts cease
@@greatwhite9428 I don't think anyone would want to 'work' with Te Pati Maori with its current leaders. Those two anti democratic muppets would need to replaced with some pro NZ folk.
It's not going to stop with anything until they have it all there way people are afraid to speak out. This government is responsible.
You are correct...

It's this government's government that pulls the strings.
@@Anonymous-c4p yes, they just fail to see the harm they are doing for their own personal short term gain and gratification. To "take back" that which everyone has contributed to as of 2023 is simply unrealistic.
This is Jacindas's legacy to NZ.
A few years back I wanted to learn te reo.......now days I want NOTHING!! To do with maori culture or there racist way of life!!
Te Reo is a made up language developed in 1860... taken from of a number of tribal dialects and was developed to give Maori a united voice for trade and communication with the European settlers... it is not the original language of the many Maori tribal people who settled our land who each had their own tribal dialects and many of whom do not endorse or agree with te reo still!
@@speeddemon9555 we have never asked for anything that is not ours. we wanted our land back you dont want to give it back so your govt came up with a compensation plan. simple facts. i know you would rather just keep all the stuff you stole you thieves are like that. hatred and racism have been apart of your DNA for ever. history will back me up.
That is a dilemma for us . The Maori elites are pushing this while the rank and file are trying to put food on the table . To my mind , the marae is a place where moderation and careful consideration should be practised but I guess the maraes too have been captured by the self-serving elites .The language is beautiful and fundamental to the culture , but it doesn't need to be rammed down our throats all the time . There is a whole world of different languages and cultures out there .
I hear what your saying but don't throw the baby out with the bath water ,,
the maori in the street is generally decent but with the previous communist government driving radicalism and self centred warriors we could be in for some scarey upheaval ahead , l pray not ..
Let the speaker speak, and stop talking over him. And listen properly to what he says and you might not need to ask questions that he's already answered. This is an extremely important matter and will affect NZ considerably in the future, making us an even more divided country.
Unfortunately Sean has his mic gain permanently set to "nuclear" which makes it even easier to talk over them.
I agree. It's frustrating
@@questor55 His channel is valuable, but he risks losing viewers (me, for one) if he continues being so rude.

The NZ legal system recently released a pair of teenagers, who savagely bashed an old man in his own bed, so badly that his broken bones were exposed through his skin, whos motivation for the attack was "it's cool" because they were "detached from their culture"
Yes, the so called warrior gene... the same gene that saw Maori commit genocide of the Moriori and the killing of 1/3 of the Maori population by Maori themselves during the musket wars. The treaty made all tribal Maori and European alike equal and put an end to Maori keeping their slaves and continuing cannibalism. Instead of being considered "detached from their culture" the teenagers you draw attention to were actually acting out their culture.
@@hohepaparaone6567 Then maybe we should hold their attackers to account with a treaty settlement.
How about a few billion dollars in damages? With interest.
Does winz pay enough for them to pay that?

Race-based politics will never work out well for this country. I dont think theres any example in history where it has worked.
We are one people under one set of laws.
That SHOULD be a non-controversial liberal thing to say!
NZers have a real knack for not rocking the boat. You see it in everyday life. People say one thing to please the group to feel good about themselves. Saying the socially acceptable and easy thing. Anything with a layer of social difficulty (crime co-governance treaty covid environment etc) we keep our head down because it doesn't affect us personally.
The Marxist opposition is not impressed by your liberal argument. They will hold you to your liberal principles when it advantages them and ignore them when they would disadvantage themselves.
But sooner or later it will affect them
IWI will start fighting between them again over who gets what
MLK said people should be judged based on their character and not their skin colour!
An absolute nonsense... Maori language on our road signs - other than place names.... on and on with the constant Maori demands by this small minority group. They are equal in every right to all other NZ citizens and should receive no more or less than any other ethnic group that make up NZ. The cost of replacing all these signs would be enormous at a time when we have far better use of taxpayers money which would benefit all New Zealanders.
I never hear about the Maori government earning any money to pay for their demands.
Maybe when there were state-owned assets there was money for bludgers.
But now the government is trading whilst insolvent and is still being threatened by racial fanatical groups.
Either give it up or be all held to account for this treaty fraud.
Not like they were wards of state and abused by government agents.
They still finding bodies of people killed and eaten by Maori in the late 1800s.
Well after the treaty was signed.
Thats why those people were chased off or defeated.

Maori written language didn't exist until english listened to it, created an alphabet of 15 english letters, for around 17000 words. So it was not maori, but pidgin english, when written. Now there are another 153,000 created pidgin english words, for the pseudo maori language.
What does the principles of the treaty actually mean when it comes to the law? Does it mean maori cant be arrested or changed for their crimes?
Sean you need to really listen here.. we are seriously in trouble with maori activists..and if nzers dont wake up and stand up to it there will be co governance and maori will be our masters..over the years the maori tribunal of maori only have continually interpreted the treaty to there own benefit and to suit themselves. Sean Plunket you are so correct with honesty in your introduction statements, yes we must get on with our lifes from A to B, more important things in life to put personal energy into, like the basic economic foundations for New Zealand. Once National and ACT are voted in, everything will be reversed back to a more normal economy, erased this certain ideology, special privilege to a race, as New Zealand is full of many cultures, everyone to be treated equal and fair, The maori elite in power are like Hitler in world war 2 with Aryan special race privilege as certain maori privilege, paying New Zealand media, to pump out all special maori media everyday, in parliament power, paying excessive tax paying funds to certain maori privilege, whilst we need money pump into new hospital, nurses, doctors, fix roading around N.Z, help out the homeless, mental health, etc,

So exactly what are these conveniently nebulous “principles” of the treaty?
So does this mean that if the Maori want to come onto our private property And Protestant it .Because they want it We might as well give it to them because we don't have a leg to stand on in a court this is a fair question to ask please don't remove it again

Time to take a new look at becoming a republic, because then we could have a constitution based not on a document from 1840, but on what the citizens of NZ in the 21st Century drew up through consultation and ratified by a referendum. And I don't mean the politicians doing the drawing up of said constitution, but that it is done by public consultation and debate. That way a minority would not be calling the shots.

Come on, Sean. Much as I don't agree with all the interpretation of the Treaty and how it might be applied, I'm scoffing that you would espouse that speaking another language signals 'woke'. There’s a reason English is the international language and Maori is not.
And it’s nothing to do with colonialism.
English was derived from various languages over a thousand years ago.
English today doesn’t need to adopt words from other languages as English is 100% complete.
Where as Maori is incomplete as it is still evolving and adopting English words .

a quick history lesson for the uneducated the crown signed a treaty with Maori.. the treaty was shet and actually granted no land sales to Pakeha. so pakeha went against the treaty they had written up and started to take the land. by force and legislative means.. ie making up laws to steal.. then come the land wars. it's in the name they wanted the land so they started a war. funded by Bank of England through the NSW branch. this money funded Grey's army. and Grey paid them back in stolen land. (CONFISCATED). now today in 2023 the treaty works for Maori. The Crown is having to pay reparations for all its wrongdoings. now Pakeha are blaming Maori for stuff you pakeha created..
Maori breached the treaty every day since then till now.
The treaty has been void since before it was signed.
Anyone with a couple of brain cells knows this.
Any crime or violence from Maori even against Maori was treaty over.
Its a peace treaty.
If Maori are not agreeing to be New Zealanders thats an act of war.
If they have a problem with history maybe stop trying ro repeat it.
The government has breaches it's own human rights laws over and over and over.
The treaty, a fraud committed by Maori to stop other Maori from taking their land.
But now the other people of the nation are expected to fund treaty breaches against the treaty fraud.
