Race-based politics will never work out well for this country. I dont think theres any example in history where it has worked.
We are one people under one set of laws.
That SHOULD be a non-controversial liberal thing to say!
NZers have a real knack for not rocking the boat. You see it in everyday life. People say one thing to please the group to feel good about themselves. Saying the socially acceptable and easy thing. They are equal in every right to all other NZ citizens and should receive no more or less than any other ethnic group that make up NZ. The cost of replacing all these signs would be enormous at a time when we have far better use of taxpayers money which would benefit all New Zealanders.

Either give it up or be all held to account for this treaty fraud.

They still finding bodies of people killed and eaten by Maori in the late 1800s.

Time to take a new look at becoming a republic, because then we could have a constitution based not on a document from 1840, but on what the citizens of NZ in the 21st Century drew up through consultation and ratified by a referendum. And I don't mean the politicians doing the drawing up of said constitution, but that it is done by public consultation and debate. That way a minority would not be calling the shots.

There’s a reason English is the international language and Maori is not.
And it’s nothing to do with colonialism.
English was derived from various languages over a thousand years ago.
English today doesn’t need to adopt words from other languages as English is 100% complete.
Where as Maori is incomplete as it is still evolving and adopting English words .

a quick history lesson for the uneducated the crown signed a treaty with Maori.. the treaty was shet and actually granted no land sales to Pakeha. so pakeha went against the treaty they had written up and started to take the land. by force and legislative means.. ie making up laws to steal.. then come the land wars. it's in the name they wanted the land so they started a war. funded by Bank of England through the NSW branch. this money funded Grey's army. and Grey paid them back in stolen land. (CONFISCATED). now today in 2023 the treaty works for Maori. The Crown is having to pay reparations for all its wrongdoings. now Pakeha are blaming Maori for stuff you pakeha created..

    • @jimijamesjowitt

Maori breached the treaty every day since then till now.
The treaty has been void since before it was signed.
Anyone with a couple of brain cells knows this.
Any crime or violence from Maori even against Maori was treaty over.
      Its a peace treaty.
If Maori are not agreeing to be New Zealanders thats an act of war.
If they have a problem with history maybe stop trying ro repeat it.
The government has breaches it's own human rights laws over and over and over.
The treaty, a fraud committed by Maori to stop other Maori from taking their land.
But now the other people of the nation are expected to fund treaty breaches against the treaty fraud.
      Just more fraud.
Nothing stop them all being imprisoned for breaching the treaty if they think its real.
