Scientific name: Psychroteuthis pelagii
Size: 60,000+ lbs
Diet: deep-sea fish and crustaceans
Myth unit. Krakens can sink ships or throw soldiers.
A creature from the sea so large that on the surface it was mistaken for a chain of islands, the Kraken is found in Norse mythology. Seamen were often lost when they camped on what they thought was an island, only to be drowned when the creature swam back to the bottom of the sea. It had large tentacles and suckers with which it could seize large ships and drag them down. The Norse believed the Kraken would rise to the surface at the end of the world.
This cinematic was made using the "Age of Mythology™: The Titans Expansion Pack" video game, with the intent of creative expression. The final version of the New X Editor (available at AOM Heaven) was utilized. All elements are original to the game; no mods were used.

I have read every unit descriptions multiple times when i was a child. I remember telling my mom all the diets of the mythical creatures and i have learned a LOT. I still remember how Ajax is the son of the King of Salamis and how Satyrs only eat grapes and drink wine. Best addition to a game ever.

dude.. i have no idea how you're so good with using the AoM editor lol. exceptionally creative throughout. the way you simulated the massive kraken and the falling boats as well as adding shafts of light to emulate the depth of the sea was awesome

I don't know how difficult or time consumptive it will be for the tools you use to be usable in Retold, but I can't wait to see what you come up with in their new engine

Will it be possible to replay your epic cinematics (scenario files) via retold edition as well, without you having to recreate all the animations one by one? Not sure if the AOM's scenario editor would be compatiable with Retold's one, even though I'm pretty sure they both use the same engine.
Unlikely. I’ll probably have to start from scratch. We’ll see how the editor handles though.

Good quality of video montage, but honestly i prefer when you only use scenes that are doable in-game.
These scenes are doable in-game (exception is the rotating sinking ship, which I captured without playtesting the scenario); problem is that the map area would be too big for the engine to handle.
how did you do that sinking effect at 1:00? That's beyond amazing.
I miss subtitles like in Automaton cinematic.
