Yup. The later levels just throw so much stuff at you. I like it a lot (was playing it the other day), and even getting a cursed weapon and uncursing it didn't help much....
Whitestell If you have much gold in the game there will be more people at your funeral, and this makes you continue the game, but if you do not have any gold you will die with a rock and it is a game over forever
All the potions, scrolls and canes are random. And most of the time, the map changes. This was a hard game if you didn't know much. I always chose the spear classes. Still worth it.
I always went axe. Axes had bad accuracy, but were really strong for when you found them. Just one lucky hit was all it took for most enemies, and long as you got food you can walk around and auto heal. Wizards were way annoying though because how often axes missed.
Litttle exploit I found. If you use the identification scroll, to find the curse removal scroll, and a cursed weapon, use the curse removal scroll on the cursed weapon, and you have one of the most powerful weapons in the game
Esse jogo me dá uma sensação de nostalgia! Mega Drive foi meu primeiro console, e esse um dos poucos games dele que eu não zerei. Então, assistirei a essa gameplay. ✔️👏🏻

That game is a nifty one, and you showed the basics it takes to win. I don't like the fact, though, that you often threw excess weapons and gear at nothing. What a waste. Throw them at enemies, you take a chunk out of them before getting close and they go down a little faster, and you keep room available to receive new ones. And you didn't get and use any bows. It can't hurt to shoot some arrows once in a while, you don't have to whale on ALL enemies up close. To use a bow you have to equip it first, and you can't have a regular melee weapon or a shield on your arms at the same time, and I know it's a bit to remember, always re-equipping shield and hand weapon after you burn up the 10 arrows of a bow and it's gone, but sometimes it's worth it for certain foes. And I was disappointed that when you reached the final boss dragon, you still had a couple of anti-magic canes and a kamikaze cane you hadn't used. You should've known the final boss is specially immune to those, and thus used the anti-magics to prevent mercuries from lowering attack strength or assuring gogons won't confuse or teleport you, and maybe the kamikaze to knock a hellfish or dragon(not the last boss) out of your way. Oh well, you won.

I can't figure out wtf to do in this game. I was trying to leave, and didn't know I had to talk to the guy 3 times first. So I just wandered around the town aimlessly. Then I hit Start, and now I'm in some room with a bunch of monsters and weapons, and no way out!

+Natalie Carter i played this game back then when i was a kid, the secret to beat this game is to take your time and lvl up according the stages you walk up. Dont rush, kill as many monsters as you can and you will be fine.
I'd add a few more tips. 1.) Throw extra weapons and gear at enemies more often than this uploader does, to assure room to receive new ones, and shoot bows once in a while(equip one first, then repeatedly use the use command till its 10 arrows have been used up). Don't whale on all foes up close all the time. 2.) Don't act like you always have to kill all foes on each floor. In fact, it's better to try to leave one foe kicking till you leave each floor. Wiping out all of them may cause a simultaneous respawning of your foes, in which case they will probably be in the worst positions from your perspective. 3.) Use scrolls you find at a reasonable rate, hoping to gain a Rust-Proof Scroll for each of the floors 11, 12, 13, and 14(the only floors that give you a reason to use one, the ones with gear-melting Insects, one such scroll abjures that power of theirs in particular for the duration you spend on a floor). If luck isn't that you gain 4 of those, settle for Wood Shield, Leather Armor, and Leather Helm for a while(the best things impervious to Insects). But try to have a chaos, or confuse-the-enemies scroll for Floor 10 and Floor 30 as priorities. 4.)If you find 4 or more Anti-Magic Canes, try to hang on to them, using up other canes as necessary, until you reach Floor 17. Floors 17 thru 20 may have Medusas whose special magic can rob you permanently of maximum hit points. An abjuration cane for the floor can prevent that. Those 4 floors have priority for worrying about. 5.) On Floors 23 thru 26, worry as priority about Sasukes, who can rob you of important items. If you have some Hypnosis and/or Kamikaze Canes, use them all on the Sasukes. You can also try using up an Elf Bow weakening a Sasuke from a distance(as long as you do, the Sasuke will be motivated to return fire from where he stands throwing shurikens, and he can't steal from you if he's not up close at you), then rush him with your sword and he's apt to fall too fast to have time to steal from you. You can also try discarding more important items for the moment and retrieving them after you've cleared out all Sasukes on the floor. 6.) Know that Mercury's(Floors 25 thru 28) have magic that can rob you of attack strength permanently, the opposite of your Power-Up Potions. An Anti-Magic Cane can prevent that, but the game would have to get pretty stuck on those for you to have enough to prevent that as well as the part with the Medusas. Avoid engaging Mercuries at all when possible. They never leave the floor of the room you find them in, so one can be left in a room until you ascend to next floor.
