Hi! I totally disagree with the no. 1 on your item. That he fall on category no. 2. It seems like it tells the viewers that he doesn't have the talent. He was a Naturally Talented martial-arts but he was pretty young when he started. His talent is very obvious in him. A born Genius. We also must understand the word "Talent". It doesn't automatically mean your are so good. Just like in any other talent like drawing or singing. Take Pavarotti for example. He has a super powerful voice but when he entered the professional stage that made his voice suttle, more attractive, divinely. We also see Jet's very unique aura, his heavy puchest and heavy kicks too. Aside from hard work his great talent maybe the reason why he was the one to compete. Remember he won 5X in a row. He mentioned (see his interview on yourtube) also as he trains he felt like he been doing that from his past life. (Well that's a Buddist belief) Those powerful kicks and punches I see from no one. Talent is a gift. He is The One.
    2. Yeah his name his kinda hard to pronounce. This particular knowledge is not so know to many. But according to him (in an interview on a news paper article when he visited the Philippines) that his screen name JET came from literally the Jet plain. First movie shaolin temple was a box-office hit. So a produce had the idea to give him that English name "Jet".
    3. Not sure if he said that about being thankful to Wu Bin. Maybe cuz in a Readers Digest he said his master was a good martial artist but not a good teacher
And everyone (students) hates him. Check out that article. I do not have a copy in hand. Although maybe he said that that his master encourage him.
I just feel that he was so underrated Bruce Lee on the other hand seem to be the best though he of course not. He has the talent that's for sure. But what he does on film (e.g. Shouting, half-naked) was of course for movie that propeled his Image and name. Unfortunately to Jet Li he was one of the Kung-Fu Trinity. He has done more but not so seen as legendary.
