A giant loss when he passed away !!! Could you imagine him today ??? A loss for INXS fans for sure !! Will never forget him !!
He wouldn't be any better today and he was in his prime then. Saying he would be much better now is not how a lot of musicians age as their voice fades....he had his day, his pleasures and addictions....
I didn't even know he was sick
Love INXS fir ever, i'm from México, Buy i can fell the vibration
1985 here in the UK we got a short clip of the Australian concert. They showed this song. This was the first time I had heard INXS. I was blown away and went straight out and bought Listen Like Thieves. I saw them three times and cherish those memories. What a band and what a front man Michael was!
I was one of 72000 very fortunate people being in Wembley at that day. Like you, I also heard of Inxs for the first time at that day watching this clip on stadium's screen. I also bought Listen Like Thieves before leaving London for going home to Turkey. At that tlme nobody in Turkey knew about Inxs. They produced such great albums.
A year later they were one of the three opening acts (others, The Alarm and Status Quo) for Queen at Wembley. I was very close to the stage to watch INXS live. They were great.
Me too mate!
Good God that’s exactly how i saw INXS for the first time too. When i got home after buying the listen like thieves album it had two records in it causing total confusion as there was no reference to the songs on the album sleeve and obviously no internet so thought it was just bonus songs for the uk market but i found out quite a while later it was a copy of The Swing which was put in the thieves album by mistake, happy days. Went to see them live about a year later at the Birmingham Odeon fantastic gig and lucky to see them maybe 5 more time over the years and i’m still listening to them and trying to perfect a INXS playlist to this day. ✌️❤️
INXS kicked major, what a tight band and great front man. This was Bono's favorite band at the time.
OZ for Africa, the forgotten part of Live Aid history
God I miss the 80's.
Australian contribution to Live Aid should have been recognised internationally more!!
simply the best singer ....
Such a shame about Michael Hutchence. He really was a fantastic showman and vocalist. I wish he was still here. It’d be really interesting to see where the band went in the 2000’s with him.
Michael hutence. One of the absolute greatest. A gigantic loss to the world
First time I ever heard INXS...stopped me in my tracks while making the kids dinner, Saturday lunchtime (UK time) July 13th 1985....they had to wait for their grub...!!..brilliant set.
hahaha that’s great!!!
🤣🤩🤣LOVE IT❗🎶
Love and Miss you Michael. No one can compare. Pure unique PERFECT! his voice gets right into my spirit...xoxox
Each and every band member is multi talented! Michael was the very best front man on every level.❤ What a loss😢.
This song takes me right back to the 80's doesn't seem to be that long ago, we were blessed to be young and alive in one of the best decades in music history!
If you skipped straight to the comments, this is probably the best live version of this song. You're welcome
Epic Band, Epic sound, Epic Front Man!
If only I could of been there nothing like 80's music, and his beauty is beyond Earth.
What an absolutely kick-ass band.
He had the best mullet. Ever. Rip❤
Killer vocals! 10+ ❤
The Wembley concert gets all the clicks but I prefer the sound on this one. ❤
Love this band! Fantastic vocals, killer music! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The double feature What You Need/Don’t Change was legendary.
Wish I had 2% of this guys confidence.
Terrific, jawdropping rendition of a bloody amazing song of theirs!
The whole performance was 120%!
Wow. I thought this was lost to time. Thank you. I remember watching this live.
What an awesome performance
I was at the Philly show and I never knew about this. Or I forgot, which is possible. I actually saw INXS at the TLA in Philly a few years later. Great band
Oz for Africa ended about 30 minutes before the London concert started. Some highlights were shown during the day on the BBC and MTV feeds but I'm not sure anything was shown in either stadiums.
Im Australian and knew nothing of it🤷♂️
Great band.
Best version of this track.
God he is gorgeous 😍
I love INXS! ❤
Wow amazing!!!🎉❤
Este tipo lo tenía todo, una voz increíble, todo un showman en el escenario. Una leyenda de la música michael hutchence 👑
De mi top10 en cantantes de los 80´s y además uno de los mejores "front man de la historia musical".
Inolvidable Michael Hutchence...

M The Greatest Of All Time
Our Fashion Icon
arteries of all dimensions you dance and sing my angels of my goddesses = alizee = michael
The personification of the phrase "bitch, I'm fabulous".
If you liked this, you’d love his version of The Passenger.
Foi uma época maravilhosa
INSX IN NXT !! TOUCHE !! 😅👍🏻

with stage presence like his he had the potential to be the next Mick Jagger. Too bad he didn't take better care of himself.
Ele foi no Live Aid anos depois toma a mulher do Boby Geldolff😮
🙏🙏🙏😇🌏🌏🌏
More 12 years and it's gone
Fun Fact: Michael was born in a lab with DNA from Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger.

Just out of curiosity what time did the Aussie one go ahead at with the time difference? Did it coincide with the UK one? So would have been a hell of a time in Oz?
no it didn't because when they showed a bit of their set it was the 14th July in Sydney. here's a link to the website liveaid.free.fr/pages/ozforafrika-uk.html
Just found out that the Aussie one ended around half an hour before live aid began
Too bad the sound guy was asleep and one of the guitars is almost drown. Still the band kicked ass as always.
good drummer
long hair loo
Nice 80s hair. He was very proud of it. 😃 He would be wearing it short and grey today I assume. A bit like John Bon Jovi.
Second
Is Gary playing bass on a keyboard?
You don't normally pay bass on a keyboard. I've wondered for years what Gary is doing.
London or Philadelphia?
Australia
@@gamingwithcallum6087 Didn’t know that there was an Australian event too, thanks! 👍🏻
@@CodaQueen87 yeah there was. It was called OZ For Africa. Other Australian bands like Men At Work also performed there
@@CodaQueen87 Just found out that the Australian one ended around half an hour before live aid began
@@gamingwithcallum6087 Must’ve been for the time difference I suppose..?
On strip club playlists to this day..
Music of 80's is so disgusting and tasteless
comment of the year cause of the sheer stupidity
D Brushfield you're the kind of guy who is into old hillbilly music of the American South in the 70s. You suck
