Nuzlocke Rules:
1. If a Pokémon faints, then it must be permanently boxed.
2. I can only catch the first encounter on each Route.
Hardcore Rules:
3. No bag items in battle, except for pokéballs. (Held items are allowed)
4. Must be played on "Set" battle mode.
5. Cannot level over the next gym leader/elite 4's highest level pokémon.
Additional Rules:
6. No EVs are allowed.
7. Must ve played on "Challenge Mode".

To be clear, this was absolutely not a blind playthrough. I had documents telling me exactly where I can catch certain encounters, what teams the pokemon has, where I can find certain items etc. I have also watched previous playthroughs so I have an idea on how to manipulate the AI.

I'm glad the algorithm recommend me your videos. Using rare candies and disabling EVs is based af. EVs make the game a lot grind-heavier and way easier. It's just an overall more dynamic and enjoyable experience playing without them. (Imo)
Exactly. Rare candies is just a quality of life thing since no one likes to watch grinding. And disableing EVs make the game significantly more difficult. EVs make every pokemon good. I like to play these challenges as kind of a puzzle and pokemon given to me are a different set of tools. I enjoy seeing how the pokemon are viable in their individual way. I think the wobbufet I looked so upset at catching actually becomes useful in the next video.

At some point in time after my 9th nuzlocke i got so tired of level grinding sessions that i started using rare candies so it means so much to me to hear other ppl doing it

Grinding is skill-less and is so boring when you’re constantly switching up your team for important battles or you lose one of your mons and add another that is a lot lower than the rest of your team / the level cap. People who think it’s cheating obviously have never played a hardcore nuzlocke on a game like this. Good shit my dude 👊🏼

Samurott is a beast and super underrated in a play through. Its bulky and has great moves.
My team was samurott, lucario, darmanitan, haxorus, krookodile and sigilyph.
Found a salamence and dragonite in the hidden grottos, got volcarona and added them to my team.
Post game for the PWT I made trades and got tyranatar, terrakion, glisgor, swampert, excadrill, skarmory and used a sandstorm team.
Gen5 is my favorite generation

Strength being a rock move is so strong, no wonder it got reverted back to normal in future updates.

One of my greatest Pokemon-related achievements is beating this game on the Normal difficulty (no challenge rules at all)! This kind of challenge is SUPER impressive!!

Fun fact about the challenge mode in B2W2 (im not sure if blaze black fixed this) but despite the leveling getting higher the opponent does not get higher stats their stats stay exactly the same which mean you give yourself an advantage on Challenge mode if you're nuzlocking.

Blaze Black and volt white are MUCH harder than Blaze Black 2, granted bb2 is still hard but as you say in the beggining "the hardest" is technically not the hardest gen 5 challenge. Though, It is still very difficult.

Great plays and consistent preparation all around, with obviously some small optimizations here and there that could be done. Although you shouldn't have gotten multiple Hidden Grotto encounters since it's a single named area on the stats screen. Snorlax was your encounter for Grottos.
I think replacing route encounters with hiden grotto encounters unique to that specific route is ok
Hi. Can you provide a tutorial / version that removed ev's and added rare candies? I'd like to play that as well because I always end up not completing these Rom Hack Hardcore Nuzlockes because of the grinding after losing multiple Pokemon in a hard fight.
Use the Pokemon Rom Changer for BB2VW2. You can find it on Google. You’ll have to manually remove the EVs for all 649 Pokemon though, so good luck with that.

how did you remove EVs from your blaze black 2 run? The only way I can think of is going to ROM editor and changing the EV yield of every pokemon to 0 manually but that method has given me issues as well.

I'm so confused why in the drayden fight you forgot earthquake for dragon claw on Salamence when you could've forgotten dragon pulse, which does less damage because Salamence is physical anyway. What was the thought process behind that? Not mad, just curious
Because Earthquake is a multiple use TM

Some of the stuff in the gym battles were different because the challenge mode gym leaders can run multiple sets
no, I know exactly what they have. There are no sets like there are in Rad Red
@@DocZ I saw the escavalier can run either Giga Impact and Aerial Ace or Drill Run and Drill Peck on challenge mode and I’m thinking that some other mons can have different sets

where did you catch the audino? Did you count the mudkip as a static? The area outside the sewer counts as castelia city, so I'm confused where the audio you had in the 3rd gym came from.

I can recommend you Kroma (Boss Rocket Kroma), he actually turns his challenges into whole series and goes through quite slow, but he refuses to look anything up.
