  • This concept is a nice way to get your lineman to second level sooner, getting your H-back/TE/FB involved in taking advantage of an interior defender penetrating up the field.

      On the play side, we’d block the first lineman B-gap in. So depending on the front, the H is blocking the 3-tech, the shade or even a head-up nose.

      @@donteellison2405 it was an automatic give for us, given that end man on the LOS was being blocked. A team could add that wrinkle and leave the end alone to be read and have the tackle work to the 2nd level.

    I'm no coach, but on the first to plays it looked like the play only worked because the linebacker made a bad read.

      Yea and that tight end hesitates at first made it kinda sloppy but it worked out
