Set up row: 48 chains
47 half double crochet hdc
Row 1: Ch 1, turn. Sc 4, hdc 43
Row 2: Ch 2, turn. Dc 1, hdc 46
Repeat ~15 rows (yarn at ankle end)
you are a saint
im so confused. the repeated rows, we do row 1 again, then row 2, then back to row 1? all the way till we have 15?
@@ihearttommoi believe so
Thank you!! ❤😊
Thank you cause that hairy yarn she’s using sure didn’t help
Wow! I have only been crocheting for like 3 days and I was able to pump these out in a day! This is wonderful thank you so much 💓
Just finished, a xmas gift for my wife. Thanks!!
When you forget which row you just did... ffs
The beginning stitch tail is a good marker of which one you're on :)
I put a little marker in the toe side 😁
@@Icebumi ahhhh thats so smart!! thanks I’ll totally use this next time I make these!
For me that's why I tally it on paper. Sometimes I'll do circles too
@@hiiii2873 I keep a pack of post it’s and a pencil in my crochet hook case for this exact reason haha. If a project calls for 74 rows I will write 1-74 and then cross out each # as I complete a row until I’m done. I just started crocheting 4 almost 5 months ago and that method has worked really well for me. But I recently got myself the digital row counters, a 4 pack that came with 150 stitch markers as well for $8. I still don’t trust the digital ones as much as trust my paper method tho haha. And I’m not the best at counting rows yet (depends on the stitch, some are easier then others). If I’m making something large tho I will add stitch markers to help me keep track too tho, like if it’s 100 rows I will throw a marker in every 10 rows at the start so if I forget or miscount I don’t need to go all the way back to the first row to count.
i can't stop imagining the yarn you're using as hard twine, and it cracks me up to imagine you crocheting twine into socks. good laugh :) very excited to whip up these socks
This is one of the best crochet tutorials I have come across. I can't wait to make these socks.
I loved this. Its the first truly begginer tutorial, and Ive seen many but yours is the best one. Something about you being calm and not judgy if we wont make it perfect. I literally almost cried when you said that the seam will be inside anyway because all the pressure was suddenly gone :D. I will definitely come for more
I absolutely LOVE that you don't move too fast, nor block your hands, like some of these tutorials. You also dimmed your background music when you spoke, so it was easier to hear you.
Excellent tutorial!
Thank You! No nonsense; no useless ramblings, no bragging/approval seeking, no confusing & drawn out instruction & le pièce de résistance....
A LITERALLY easy & beginner friendly recipe.🥰
My feet have been super cold recently, so after I found your tutorial, I ran to buy some yarn and made them right away. I love them so much! Your tutorial was super easy to follow and they turned up perfect! My roommate now wants a pair too! Thank you so much! Tho next time, I will make the initial chain a but smaller, so I can use just one ball of yarn hopefully ☺️
how many chains did you start with?
This is first time i was able to successfully make a sock .i made it beacuse my husband requested so i tried . it is very simple to follow Thank you.
Just made one for my mom! One sock down, one to go. I love this pattern. I’ll probably make more for the rest of my family.
This is such an amazing tutorial!
It's the first time I've attempted to crochet after a decade and the project was a success thanks to your detailed demonstration
Aw, wow! What a great compliment 😊 I'm glad you're crocheting again
Thank you! I am going to crochet some because I wanna send them as a gift to hospital for preemies. For those little feet. I will just need figure out how many st I will need and I am going to use much smaller hook and thinner yarn. That's a very good tutorial! Thank you for sharing with us 😊
i love this!! it's so easy to do and i'm on my second pair already. i made one pair for my boyfriend and another for me with velvet wool and i did 17 rows instead of 15 just for extra room for our big feet (lol). one thing i would recommend to anyone who's unsure on sizing is to use some scrap wool as a practice sock before you commit to a proper one. i used some thinner wool that i won't use as a quick practice sock so i would know my correct sizing
Was super hesitant to do a slipper. They all looked so complicated. This one is super easy to me! I am going to make them, thank you so much!!
this is the first tutorial i’ve actually been able to follow!! i know it will look nothing like yours(yet) but i’ll get there! thanks for this!!
I am going to try this as grandson has asked for more knitted ones but have just learnt to crochet. They look so easy and warm for him. Thank you so much for easy instructions
Making a rainbow pair for my mom! Thanks for this pattern it took about 1 minute to get the hang of it and works up so quickly!
Note: if you’re a beginner like me, when working the row 1 stitches, try not to accidentally work into the ch 1 as your first stitch, accidentally changed my stitch count and took me a bit to notice what happened.
I chained in the first stitch rather than the second 😭 now I'll have to restart I get them so confused
Hope this helps Row one: chain one and turn one (sc in the back loop for 4 stitches) hdc the rest of the loops
Row two: chain 2 to turn 1 dc into the back loop of the first stitch hdc the rest
I am done with one pair and i am so in love with it❤. Thank you so much
thank you as I am fairly new to crocheting and wanted to make my husband some bed socks for his size 14 foot. This is easy enough that I believe Ill be able to make it. LOL TY for sharing.
Made a pair for my mom, such a simple pattern to follow with great results! Thank you
TY, I am making them for a friend that has very swollen feet and can't buy socks. TY
Perfect sock for a cast !!! Thank you!
Wow! I didn't think of that. What a cozy cast it will be!
this seems like an easy slipper sock to start with, I've been wanting to learn sock making for a while. yay! no more cold feetsies!
( I buy socks but it's not the same level of comfort) tyfs
Again, thank you for the clear concise information on making the sock slippers. 😊
I can't wait to try these!
Thanks for this pattern it’s very simple to understand I will do it for my mothers and sisters, also for myself for Christmas gifts thank you so much
Making these for my uncle since winter is coming
hurrah. I made it in two colours. looks awesome. thank you. I made a cord for ankle tightness.😊
THE EASIEST! I love it
I have made these socks several times. Thank you so much for this video.
Love the pattern. Super easy. Excited to make these. Heads up, folks: per the blog article (and very briefly stated in the beginning of this video) this is for a "small, adult shoe size." The blog article further clarifies, "The stitch counts in the pattern will fit most average adult women’s sizes (I wear a US women’s 7 for reference)." As a newbie trying to make these for an adult male (shoe size 12), it would nice to know this BEFORE crankin' out 15 rows! As I was going, I realized.... "this ain't gonna fit the recipient." Happy to practice... but now I feel like I burnt through yarn and wasted some time... 😣
So, for a bigger size, we'd need a longer chain or more rows?
@@bridgettel8217 possibly both, and depending on whether or not you want it to be able to roll over at the top or not... and how much. So, I made one pair with approx. 100+ chains and 20 rows for a men's foot (Size 11/12, Wide)... I made another pair at 60 chains and I think the same number of rows for a teenage girl.... But if your foot is narrow less rows, of course...
@MathewHeggem Thank you so much. I wear a women's 10. I also have a wide foot. Thank you for responding to this so fast before I continue making them. 😃👍
My dad is in hospital. These are perfect, no heels to worry about, thankyou,I love it. Just made 6 pairs for him.
Hope everything went well with your dad ❤
Made these today, super easy to follow and so cute&comfy! Took a total of about 6 or so hrs over 2-3 days, i used baby blanket yarn for that extra softness and warmth. Going to make my boyfriend a pair now too lol he wants some now
I want to make a pair for my husband, if you made them for your boyfriend would you mind telling me the stitch count and how many rows? Please ☺️ I guess it would also help to know the foot size. I'm looking at 10.5" - 11"
thank you so much for this video! in just a couple hours on and off i was able to complete one sock!! i’m a beginner so this video was extremely helpful
Finally an easy great tutorial!!
This is literally the easy booties I’ve made! Thank you for sharing your awesome pattern.

I did 68 stitches and it was a perfect fit thanks so much❤️
I did 131 😩
Awesome! Just made one, I used Aran wool and acrylic mix yarn and I did 19rpws and its a bit big on my ankle so I'm going to do the next one with the 17 rows you mentioned. Then I will make another withb17 if that fits. Thank you for the very easy video to follow.
i just got 4 pairs of boots from my grandpa as we happen to wear the same size and he took out the old insoles he had in some and now 2 of them are a bit big but making me some nice simple thick socks like this will help a lot!

these look so comfy and fun! I'm sure gonna make a pair!
Do you have instructions for other sizes including children? Thank you.
I made a pair for my niece chain 27 stitches instead of 47, so less chains for smaller size
I really like this tutorial!! I'm excited to start crocheting socks for Christmas 😊this looks so easy 😊 wish me luck😊 thank you!
I just made one pair, its so easy! I just measured around how wide it had to be and it fits perfectly 👌

Toe end start 2:19
Ankle end start 3:17
Thanks!
10/10 very easy for begginers and people who have never picked up a Skene and hook in they're life. I made super cute and fluffy light pink socks, with very thick pink yarn I have! Would recommend for begginers.
★★★★★ 5 star review.
SET UP CHAIN: 48, THEN SKIP A CHAIN AND HDC 47 STICHES, ONCE YOU REACH THE END CHAIN ONE, FLIP YOUR WORK
ROW 2: SINGLE CROCHET 4 STITCHES IN THE BACK LOOPS AND THE REST IS HDC
ROW 3: CHAIN 2 AND TURN YOUR WORK, DOUBLE CROCHET ONCE AND THE REST IS HDC
REPEAT 15 TIMES
YOUR WORK END SHOULD BE ON THE OPPSITE SIDE OF THE BEGGINING AND YOU SHOULD HAVE 16 ROWS IN TOTALLY INCLUDING THE SETUP ROW.
TY FOR THIS AWESOME VIDEO
when I repeat after row 2, do I do what I did with row 1 (4 single) at the end and then row 2 (1 double) and repeat or do I repeat 15 with whatever I did to the end of row 2?? I’m confused what I need to do when I’m at the end of row 3 and onwardssss
@@yi-ning9698 DONT LISTEN TO MY INSTRUCTIONS, I DONT UNDERSTAND IT MYSELF BUT JUST FOLLOW THE VIDEO YEAH
Super facile et très bien expliqué et filmé, merci ! 😊
Thank you so much!!! Great video - really clear.
Wow!!!!!!! Best idee ever!!!!!🌹🌺🌷🌸❤️
Gonna make these this week !!
I’m starting a pair this evening. It’s 5pm in England already lol xx
What wool did you use I can’t find a Uk alternative to this wool!
I did it in the UK too and I just used a normal bulcky yarn not as pretty but so comfy and good
Thank you!!!
I´v made these for my 1 year old son, so he dosen´t get cold feet in the stroller. Thank you for an easy pattern 😀
Amazing tutorial 😍😍 so straight forward
Soo easy to make for lazy people like me... 😁😀..bohot achha or quick hai.❤️❤️
So cute and simple.
IM MAKING IT FOR MY GMA TY THIS WAS LITERALLY SO EASY😝😝
I’m making it for a gift exchange in school and I’m using velvet yarn so that it’s ridiculously soft and will make them smile when they wear them. Just hope that I made them the right size 😅
They are looking amazinnnnn🎀🎀🎀🧦🧦❤❤
I'm going to make them for myself
Thanks! I’ll be making pairs for my mum, my nana and if I have time my bf mum for Mother’s Day 😁 ( & a pair for myself, but I can wait 😅 )
okay I LOOOOVE this tutorial. super easy! I finished one sock but its not long on me 😭 and I have small feet. I chained the right amount. Maybe I just stitched a little too tight ? The sock just barely reaches my ankle with it on
So this was indeed quick, a bit too quick, 'cause it was fun to make. They're super warm, and I hope they won't stretch too much. I recommend making them fit quite tightly around your legs, as they will start to stretch a little bit right away.
very easy dear i love it and i will make it
Easy to learn ☺️
