Hola Francis, De donde eres...? Te doy las gracias por compartir estos grandes temas, es la mejor música. Ojala puedas leer mi comentario para que recibas mis agradecimientos. Saludos desde Santiago de Chile ....!!!
Not big hits in America maybe, but in the netherlands they were: Debbie Harry - French kissin Pet Shop Boys - Suburbia Mel & Kim - Showing out (number 1 hit in 1986) Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush - Don't give up Robert Cray Band - Right next door Bruce Willis - Under the boardwalk Level 42 - Running in the family Pepsi & Shirlie - Heartache Wendy & LIsa - Waterfall Bee Gees - You win again Hooters - Satellite Samantha Fox - NOthing's gonna stop me now Terence Trent D'arby - If you let me stay Alexander O'Neal - Criticize NOt hits but they should have been: Paul Simon - Graceland
Man this is awesome! Wish u had the peaks and weeks for them too. But this helps me wi my music collection in knowing which songs charted on the hot 100. Do 1990-2021
Merci beaucoup Francis for another awesome hit compilation!! As always your work is amazing!! These may be considered “flops” or “forgotten” hits in the US but at least for me they’re not. 1987 was such an amazing year for music that the competition was very strong. Many of these charted bigger in other major markets and even in other US charts (i.e. r&b, dance, etc.). Therefore the term forgotten in this case can be misleading. Thank you again for the great memories!!
A-ha's Cry Wolf peaked on Billboard's Hot 100 at exactly #50. I'm still wondering why it was suddenly pulled from radio airplay ... who still felt jealous &/or threatened by them. Duran Duran, among others, hated them so much.
Is it just me or do so many of these songs sound the same? That was the 80's I guess, with the electronic dance music, soft and glam rock etc. A few good songs but not many really memorable (imo). Thanks for posting these though, I always look forward to the next installment. Have you produced any from Australian charts? Couldn't see it on your channel.
Pas mal de titres (dont certains que je connaissais déjà) qui me bottent bien. Mes préférés: "Still Of The Night" de Whitesnake (une tuerie absolue !!), "Battleship Chains (Georgia Satellites), "Rock Me" (Great White), "Somebody Save Me" (Cinderella), "Johnny B" et "Satellite" (The Hooters), "World Shut Your Mouth" (Julian Cope), "Black Dog" (Newcity Rockers), "Right Next Door" (Robert Cray Band), "Little Suzi" (Tesla), "Stand Back" (The Fabulous Thunderbirds), "Kick The Wall (Jimmy Davis & Junction) et le duo Billy Joel/Ray Charles (sur "Baby Grand"). Certains acteurs de cinéma comme Bruce Willis et Don Johnson ont aussi montré qu'ils se débrouillaient correctement en poussant la chansonnette.
So much forgotten music it refreshing to hear this music from 1987

Couldn't see it on your channel.
there is a good reason most of the time why this songs don't go inside the top 50... and are mostly forgotten
I made one video about Australian charts : the number one songs of the 90's ( ruclips.net/video/ZmQrjkFFJaI/видео.html)
@@francispelletier3647 OK must have missed it, thanks for that I'll check it out.
Much more similar songs now
Night Ranger - The Secret of my success , probably the best of of the lot

Peter Gabriel song is now a classic, with many versions.
