Clay's parents both knew he was gonna say no. You could see it in their body language after AD said yes.
I don't believe that Jimmy was ever going to say yes to her since the reveal. He said he was ready to go home after he proposed, but hadn't seen her yet. After the that reveal it was really a wrap. He just decided to go through the process with her and kept telling others that they were the best couple and the happiest to look good. Plus, he got sex. 🤷🏽♀️ Chelsea's behavior just makes it easy for people to tell him to run. Also, he kept contradicting himself in that conversation, but that might have been editing, too.
Yeah, he gave major poser vibes after seeing her. Nothing he said actually aligned with his actions. It’s like he was punishing her since that moment because be felt catfished. He shouldn’t have picked her based on looks (or whatever he thought she looked like) and she shouldn’t have opened her mouth about the celebrity look-alike thing. They both got what they deserved.
I enjoyed your banter more than the whole series. It’s so good to get the man think.

I really believe that Clay's dad traumatized him with the infidelity trips. His view of love and marriage was tainted by his dad's actions. I hope he gets the therapy he needs- his dad should attend some sessions too.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Clay doesn’t find her Beautiful. He likes her body is all and the fact that she will put up with whatever from him which is beneficial to him. However y’all can run the narrative that she is beautiful all you want and claim it due to colorism, featurism, whatever. That girl had low budget horrible beauty supply store white glue showing fake eyelashes and a very poor weave and those two things will have anybody looking ruff. Her lack of confidence and the whispering is unattractive. Stop gassing that girl cause she has lived in her body for 32 years and she knows she is not a beauty but she is also not ugly. She alright.
@@IsisBlu i agree with your sentiments about Clay. However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that’s why I said she is beautiful TO ME. It’s fine if other people don’t. I was not running with the narrative of it being colorism , featurism, etc completely. There are many reasons for people not to find someone attractive, but I mentioned those reasons as examples because often that is what it is when it comes to darker skin people and people with her features. You don’t have to be attracted to someone to see they’re attractive. I said “whatever reason it is” and I was referring to the general public not Clay.
Regarding her bad hair and lashes, since then that’s been fixed and I saw it on her TikTok. I saw a video with her hair fixed,no lashes or makeup and I formed a judgement that her TV look didn’t do her justice. And her personality, that is really in the eye of the beholder. If you don’t like hers fine.

I appreciate that Jimmy broke up with Chelsea after they had spent a great day together. The first time he tried to do it, it was after they'd had a huge argument & she was able to "apologize" & cajole him into reconciling. In as much as Clay's mother was the 'saint' in this, I do believe she's the puppet master. I know and understand this may be an unpopular comment... however, please go back to Clay's behavior in the pods without Rita's presence. He was unhinged, and even his cast mates noticed it. Clay's faux assertiveness, only came once he was around Rita.

Clay is a cautionary tale to fathers. The way you treat woman will either negatively or positively impact your sons and how they navigate relationships with woman in their futures. And one thing that drove me crazy is his father didn’t have that raw conversation with him where you say, son I sucked! I was not the man I should have been and it brought many pain, including your mom. I’m sorry I didn’t show you a better example. Don’t be like me.

I could only wish it was a cautionary tale but I think, like the narcissists they are, they're proud of their actions and lack introspection or any care for the consequences of their actions. They are not worried about how their sons will grow up to treat women because they don't care about the own women in their lives. Like honestly, unless he thought Clay was too young to understand what was going on, it seems to me he wanted to show off to his son. Who models lying, cheating, and stealing to their kid if not a sociopath? Quite frankly, that dad looked happy to me to see Clay reject AD and make her cry. He also seemed to insinuate AD wasn't good enough or she must not be as great as his ex-wife, without knowing a thing about her as far as we know. As if that was any compliment because look how he treated her for most of their marriage.

The way I’ve always heard the comment “I can work with that,” It was used in sarcasm. It’s not intended in the way it sounds. It’s like someone saying they’re going to give you some money to go get some shoes, You don’t know how much money they’re going to give you maybe you’re expecting $200 instead they hand you $2000, and you look at it and say, “I can work with that.” That term is used in sarcasm. Do you know what I mean? of course you can work with it, their gorgeous, or of course you can work with it, It’s $2000 for some shoes. But you say that in a sarcastic joking way.
