    Given the fact that young kids can be brutally blunt, sometimes rude without knowing it, and outspoken, I find it incredible and brave these girls are willing to be teachers to young kids.
    I think in the long run it’s great. I think it’s important for kids to be exposed to people that are “different”…. Get a chance to get to know them, and eventually the kids learn that even though these girls are very different from everyone else, they are also very similar and nothing is “wrong” with their uniqueness.

      I think they are so used to it that it's not something they've ever necessarily noticed-- they've been together since birth so they don't miss the need for privacy or anything like that. If anything, i think it's the responses of other people that probably bother them the most about their condition. They have only known being this way for their entire lives, so they probably aren't as bothered by the idea of always being together.

    It's great to get an update. Last time we saw you you were 16 and just getting your drivers' licenses. I think it was very wise of your parents and you to do the documentaries that you did when you were younger to introduce yourselves to the world; now people are less likely to be startled when they see you for the first time in person; they see Abby and Brittany!

      Kids ask questions because they are curious. Learning about different people makes them more open minded. Kids can be accidentally hurtful with questions, but usually if they want to insult you they will be more direct, so it is good for kids to ask questions. If they say something hurtful in the process they will learn to understand that better.

      Don't be a teacher. You are treated like crap. If you are lucky enough to have a pay scale you will get to the point where you make too much and admin will make up crap to get rid of you and hire someone cheaper. If you don't up somewhere with a pay scale, be ready to have a stagnant salary that doesn't keep up with the cost of living.

    • @shyspeaks9238

      Caryn Schwengel Teaching is not a Job you enter for the money. It's a Job you go into because of a passion. Just like any other job, there are methods that can increase your pay. Experience and taking on other duties in the school is a way.
      Teachers also have separate jobs for the reason of low income. But as stated before, teaching is definitely not a career people enter because they're gonna get hundreds of thousands in pay, and I am already aware of that but thank you for the concern.

    • @chasetonga
      @chasetonga 6 лет назад

      Shy Speaks I am a teacher and if you haven't entered the field yet I can't expect you to know what it is really like. Districts will eventually suck the passion out of you because it is no longer teaching to learn about the world, or about curiosity. It is about teaching for tests. No kidding people don't enter it for the pay. There is actually very little opportunity to earn extra money. Expect to enter at a beginning teacher salary and not make much more, so as the cost of living goes up, you get poorer. No teacher, or anyone with a degree, should have to go work a second job. They won't have time anyway because it is expected you spend most of your evenings and weekends doing additional work for school, not to mention the exhaustion after work. Expect to put your own family on the back burner. It is sweet that you have these grandiose ideas about teaching, but anyone who is a teacher knows all this unless they are lucky enough to work someplace special.
      But, be my guest. Have fun!

    I will never forget years ago I was stoned ( very very rare in my 50' s sadly ) & I was this video of these two ladies teaching for the first time ..I honestly thought I was tripping or something.!I have such a lot of admiration for them ...if they're out there facing the world & even holding down a job in front of a load of kids & kids can be cruel...well if they can get through life..so can we!.More power to you ladies.! ✊✊

      I'd imagine just about everything is immensely uncomfortable for them both.
      I'm uncomfortable in my own body and I'm just one regular fat guy
