I feel like whenever I finish a game, I get in this weird post game depression, and bumble about for a while. I jump from game to game not having any idea of what I want to play, until my brain finally settles on something. I think part of my issue is having too many games to choose from. After FF7 Rebirth I had that feeling, and didn’t settle on anything till Stellar Blade came out. Happens to me every time I roll credits on a game.
Everyone went nuts for the Xbox show, including myself when I watched it, but since I’ve had time to reflect and let the hype wear off I’ve got some serious questions. Xbox really needs to prove themselves this time. We got no concrete dates, even for games releasing this year, like Indy and Avowed. Perfect Dark stole the show, but it’s no secret it’s had a troubled dev cycle so far, and that trailer looked a little too perfect. I’m not convinced that it’s real at all. All I can say is I’m cautiously optimistic, and hope Xbox proves me wrong. So far they’ve been a real shit show this generation.
Yeah I've been burnt too often to trust it offhand as nice as it looks. Redfall looked great too. So did Starfield. And lots of other Xbox failures. They're great at marketing, it's why their fanboys are the most fervent. I just hope my leg isn't being pulled with misleading trailers again. It's one thing to show off what you have going on and another to actually deliver it.
Think about it. They're probably being wise on when they're releasing things now. Remember halo infinite and Forza horizon 5 being launched within 2 weeks of each other? Have to be precise on when games r launched. Remember Nintendo still hasn't announced anything

I was looking for video game podcasts to listen to, and that super closeup of Geoff Keighley's face as a thumbnail really helped me decide to move on to something else.
Defintley felt like Xbox has been dying over the last few years. And yet Xbox seemed to have been the best part of SGF. So good to see honestly. Also looking forward to info about their next console/handheld thing they are talking about. Not that I'd buy it, I'm mainly a PC gamer now.
While the colour palette being used in Monster Hunter Wilds is more muted/brown, I just watched a game play trailer and it looks really good. Not at all something that would be on a PS3.
Games shown on XBox are way better than what Sony had shown for PS5. However, the sad part is that there is still no guarantee that Xbox won't shut their studio down even if these games hit it big in game pass.
Brap brap fellow human gamers. But yeah, "What if your internet goes down?" happened to me recently. So I was like oh, lets play some games since I can't stream anything. Try turning on my Xbox and it says, sorry we can't find your internet connection. Guess I had a few hundred dollar paper weight at that point. Ended up firing up my Switch in the end. Thinking about how you navigate your balls is tight!
SGF is pay to play, it's never going to outdo a major player. Sony is on a clear downwing right now, so it's great MS was able to capitalize on that, but the games need to come out, be good, and have a studio surviving post release before I call anything they do a sucsess. Don't forget how hype we all got for Redfall just to have that blow up and the studio closed.
Someone seems to have got confused and merged both Ben Potters into the same IMDB page because it lists work that BOTH Ben potters have done as if it was the same person.
Glad to see Xbox has some interesting titles coming up, I just hope they're good and playable. And that the studios making them survive to release. A bit disappointed to see Fable moving away from a stylized look to more generic realistic fantasy. As a PC/Switch owner I (eventually) get to enjoy it all, so it sucks to still see so much tribalism over toys.

You have to be careful in an ever improving technological age to make the claim that a medium to store 300GB isn't going to be possible. How foolish do you reckon the games devs for the Commodore 64 felt a few years after claiming that they couldn't release disk multi-loader games on cartridges instead, because the cost would be so prohibitive to get 500kb of data on a cartridge, that it would make the cartridge cost the equivalent of paying for a new 1541 disk drive? (about £200 in the mid 1980's.)
CDPR at the launch of Cyberpunk was in daily emails with me. Gave me full refund and even checked in after the fixes. I’d only experienced one bug on ps5 but it was significant enough that I couldn’t progress at the time under a specific starter “class”.

A consumer can buy a 400gb SDXC storage card for about £30 individually so bulk production and buying would drive that down in the long-run. Unfortunately, short-term this would push up the costs of games, which as we know, gamers react so well to and we all know that the eventual savings would never be passed back down. Or, you could have each console company open a direct super-speed download option through what remaining high-street retailers there are. This would necessitate you to have additional storage for your PS5/Xbox Series. So, for example, you take your extended storage (PS5 M2.nvme stick or Xbox Storage Card) to the store and they download encrypted game files and give you an activation code that you input on the publishers website, this sends a notification to PSN or XBL to match up with a key in the downloaded files, decrypts them to confirm purchase and then it's available to play.
To help clear thing up concerning Metaphor for Dick Mycinko, and possibly Ben Potter as well wherever he is: 1 Metaphor is like Persona in that there is a real-life time management system, just possibly not using the months as we know them, (the name of the months are different,) but it should include 7-day a week month by month calendar system. 2 It will include social sim elements ala Persona but you will not be able to romance female characters/party members because they wanted to do something that did not have romance elements for once 3 Persona is actually the spin off series of Shin Megami Tensei (SMT) No worries though I, like Dick and Ben, prefer Persona vastly compared to mainline SMT.
