    This was my house in the 1990's, they must have spent at least £100k on the refurb! Its been done beautifully but is only really good as a rental as without any storage space its not suitable for a family

      Easy to clean, can’t really see the dirt. Can have underfloor heating or with rugs can feel warmer. Also would recommend to invest in some slippers. I suppose those who buy it can afford a comfy pair...

    I LOVE this home but would open up the wall between the front entry and living room. No reason to have that closed off. My favorite feature was the gorgeous kitchen, dining area and complete opening to the garden. That’s where I would live! Stunning!

    • @elaineculbert8594
      @elaineculbert8594 2 года назад +3

      @Melinda: I could be wrong but I’m assuming that’s an original feature, Melinda, possibly done (before central heating as we know it) to keep drafts from entering the living area as people came and went about their day. I love this house too!

    Beautiful Home and Patio. BUT the Dark Wood Doors need to be Painted WHITE to show Elegance with the rest of the Place. The wood doors look outdated, cheap and rustic which Don't Match the Elegant Style of this home.

    • @fabolvaskarika7940
      @fabolvaskarika7940 2 года назад +2

      This is an English home. The older is better. Though this is refurbished in a surprisingly high quality. Despite the overcrowded furnishings and garden... I believe you need to review what elegant means here and now.

    With the lounge doors where they are, fitting a three piece would be very awkward.

    • @missychan63
      @missychan63 2 года назад +4

      None of this house makes any sense. It looks like two burners and six or eight ovens? Absolutely no wait place anything other than a couple of chairs in what they call a living room... You would have to live at the dining room table. The garden is completely unusable unless people want to crawl over the top of the table to get into their chairs. Absolutely gorgeous but a whole ton of money for a basically unusable home.

    • @johnnyconnelly7278
      @johnnyconnelly7278 2 года назад +1

      @@missychan63 Your right about that.. i think it better to have built on the front a small extended porch with enough room for coats and wellies then a second door (where the front door is now) leading directly into the lounge..voila you've now extended the lounge area by a metre with room for a sofa and two chairs without losing the area those strange doors will need to swing open every time you enter the lounge..

    • @fabolvaskarika7940
      @fabolvaskarika7940 2 года назад +1

      Why would they want a three piece?

    • @fabolvaskarika7940
      @fabolvaskarika7940 2 года назад +1

      @@missychan63 it’s overcrowded, but can be rearranged. Even the garden. I would leave more room, which means less furniture, but this style very popular. Not everyone is a minimalist.

      1. It isn't a cottage.
      2. No need for a house name if it has a street number.
      So, no need for a mulberry bush or tree these days.

    Some odd features to this house. Some tight corners. The kitchen sink in a closet? The chair blocking the closet in the one bedroom? I would constantly be bumping into things. The backyard was gorgeous, but then again, the table arrangement: god forbid you had to pull out a chair.

    • @nomadtom2420

      That’s what I was thinking lol

    • @fabolvaskarika7940
      @fabolvaskarika7940 2 года назад

      The sink probably not for the dishes, just for hand washing and cleaning fruits, vegetables. I suppose they have dishwasher. The armchair (and some other things) I would take down into the living room as there ample room left. They might just change that garden furniture to a simple bistro set, or rid of some of the flower beds. I think the seller would do some reasonable changes for that price...

    • @markedwardsphotography
      @markedwardsphotography 2 года назад +1

      The sink is the single room is the utility sink for washing wellington boots, outdoor waking gear, and general garden washing needs. It is traditional in England. The chair you mention is extra furniture in the house but it’s not fully set for living in, as the house was new in the market for sale. Hope this answers your questions.

  • @regplate2923
    @regplate2923 2 года назад

    Great video. The living room however is not so good as the obvious place for a sofa or chairs is in front of the fireplace but the double-doors are there. It looks to be awkward to place furniture to take advantage of the lovely fireplace. The room would have to be 2 meters wider.

  • @sapphireseptember
    @sapphireseptember 2 года назад

    Some weird design choices, no door between the top bedroom and bathroom, (yuck!) and the shower is only the kind attached to the taps. The other en suite only has a shower when it's big enough for a bath and a shower, the kitchen sink is tiny (not everything can go in a dishwasher) but there's a huge Aga and a huge oven, the bit of garden there is is taken up by chairs and a table. I suppose at least there's a nice big sink in the utility room.

  • @karenbartlett1307
    @karenbartlett1307 2 года назад +2

    Too modern, too many stone bunnies (ones in bathroom look more like pigs), radiator under the bay window in living room, no window above the kitchen sink, no garden to speak of.

  • @kattengat2

    Kitchen sink is worthless. Who wants to drag their dishes to that remote sink area?

    • @melindadouglas1673

      At first I thought that too but the kitchen sink is in the kitchen. I think that alcove with sink is the laundry area.

  • @fabolvaskarika7940
    @fabolvaskarika7940 2 года назад

    The thing what bothers me the most is the lack of carpet between the ground and first floor. I suppose it was done by the time of sale but to see everything is in a good standard and that’s let down the property, not professional. Apart from that the less would be more. Nice style but some spaces is just unliveable. Guess some furniture can go in the living room... as that’s almost empty.
