Q Acoustic Concept 300 Speaker Review

- Q Acoustics are very well known in the UK for some accessible speakers. I take at their flagship stand mount speaker, the Concept 300. There are some very clever design touches to this speaker. I find out if it is just style or substance.

Thanks for a great review. I purchased these fine speakers less than a year ago. They are not the best in class for resolution and at times I have found myself questioning my purchase. I did purchase based on design innovation and minimalist placement in a main room. Loved the idea of the stands. I have paired with the NAD M33 and in that space, thats it (an original agreement with my wife).
I still lean into my preference in capturing micro detail so when passing by the Concept 300s, I occasionally question my purchase. Then I sit and listen and I do get lost in the music. Your review has reinforced that I got everything I originally looking for. I will need to switch out the M33 for my Hagel H190 to see if it changes the presentation.
I enjoy your reviews because you are consistent, informative and real.
Thank you John. Very kind of you to say. It is a very good sounding speaker you just pay a little extra for the looks and finish. Those things are important too. At the end of the day we have to look at them everyday usually in our primary living space 😊👍
I am actually in the same boat. I bought mainly based on the positive reviews and like the idea behind the design of these speakers. I find they sound great with some music that is more sparse and requires an expressive mid range but is lacking for music that is fast and busy in the mid range with the speakers losing focus, lacking in clarity and sounding congested (it is in those times I also question my purchase but then there are some track where they sound great). Would love to know if that is your experience as well and if the Hegel pairing or any other worked better. Thanks.
@@CandidUploads Great to learn about your experiences. Both the my Hegel H160 and the Yamaha A-1200 worked well with the Concept 300s. The mid/woofer doesn’t stop and start as well as my ProAc’s or the ATC SCM19’s. This robs the speaker of some clarity and becomes more noticeable with more complex music, as you mentioned. It is still a good sounding speaker, just not class leading for the money 😊
@@abritishaudiophile7314 thanks for your valuable work and the reply. I couldn’t quite put my finger on what it was that I didn’t like except the lack of clarity on some tracks but your conclusion in regards to the speed of the speakers makes sense. Thank you.
@@abritishaudiophile7314 thank you for your honest and unbiased reviews . What are the class leaders in your opinion? I know it is relatively subjective and all that .. but I have little experience and would be happy to get some leads from such a class act like you
Thanks again Tarun for your honesty, which hopefully can raise the bar for designers/manufacturers, to our benefit.
Thank you CC 😊👍
Great point about the design matching the voicing, because that's the environment it will be used in.
Every day is a school day 👍
Thank you Paz. For me too 😊👍
Lovely review thanks. Will need to give these a listen as Richer Sounds love this brand when I visit.
Thank you Hero 😊👍
A good honest portrayal just as their specs are. You are good at describing the character of the equipment you review.
Thank you buddy 😊👍
Appreciate the balanced review perspective that is clearly independent. Definitely the coolest looking speaker stands around, but I like my details.
Thank you David. I also think it is a very cool looking speaker 😊👍
Hey Tarun ,appreciate your straight forward opinion always & definitely looking forward to the Yamaha review
thanks .
Thank you Anand 😊👍
Great review as always, Tarun, and I'm absolutely with you on commending honest tech specs. Just a couple of days ago, I was looking at a nominal 8 Ohm speaker with an impedance minimum of 3.4 Ohms - to most tube amp users this has to come across as some kind of elaborate prank...
Thank you Sebastian. It is shocking how few manufacturers follow the spec conventions. I am sure it was better years ago. There I go, on my soap box again 😊👍
Back in the old days many speakers were described as 4-8 ohms. More honest.
Tarun bhai, pls keep up your good work. Thanks a lot for honest reviews.
Thank you for watching and your support Bhai 😊👍
Great reaview Taran, I really like your honest and insightful reviews of audio gear in a time when some of audio Utube reviews are a little questionable imho. The stands are really a uniqe design and attractive, as is the speaker itself (that's a deep speaker for it's size) I hope you keep getting more products to review. Aloha from Hawaii.
Aloha Eric. Thank you for watching and your support 😊👍👍
Hello from Australia.... I subbed and rang it.
Because this Gentleman READS the bloody COMMENTS...
Thank you for watching and the sub X5. Much appreciated 😊👍
Another really good review! I've never heard but have considered this speaker. I think you're the first reviewer to really take a stand with this, and I suspect you hit the nail on the head. And I suspect I would like it quite a bit. There was a time when I wanted brightness. Interestingly now that I don't hear highs as well, I prefer warm usually. That's not to also say I like a little high frequency adjustment. In fact, when I restored my old Dynaco preamp, I had the tone controls restored. And I use them. My Magnepans have the resistor tweeter adjustment as well. Thanks again, for the great review!
Great to hear from you my friend. Some clever design touches to these speakers, including the treble adjustment. Thank you for all the support and encouragement you give me 😊👍
There's certainly a lot more than meets the eye in this little speaker - just like you said. It's a neat little box of tricks packing a lot more innovation in speaker design than we've seen in over a decade. I'm glad I've watched this review as I definitely have an innate aversion to cute little speakers.. :)
Thank you for watching Stelios 😉
I bought a pair of Concept 40's 5 years ago. Still loving them & their lovely black gloss finish.
Cool 😎
Almost bought some as a package with my Powernode n330 but my brother offered m e kef q950 at a really good price so bought instead
Honest take on a VERY frequently reviewed speaker from a smartly run company that leverages media exposure better than anyone not named Klipsch. Something tells me Q may not be knocking on your door anytime soon lol. Love this channel!
Thank you Michael. I hope they see it as a fair and accurate appraisal. I guess I will find out 😊👍
Very, very interesting! Hope you can review the 500s in the near future, as well...
Thank you A Man 😊👍
Thanks Taran for a great review as always.
Thank you Kevin 😊👍
I have Concepts 500, which replaced Focal 1028be. I don't find QA rolled off, its open, just without lots of details. What cables are used in the review? When I switched from Focal to QA, I had to replace cables (IC and speaker) to QED, since QA is designed with QED cables, and that helped a lot with details and speed.
Also, sound stage is one of the biggest selling point of this speaker. With good tube amp (i have PrimaLuna tube preamp), it gives lovely holographic soundstage. Too bad it wasn't tested with some low powered tube integrated, to see whats the minimum power it requires...
Other than that, nice review!
Hi Hrvoje, I did test it with the Reisong Boyuurange A50 Mk3. That is a 7.8W SET tube amplifier. It did an okay job of driving the 300s but that amp really needs high sensitivity speakers. The Concept 300s have a sensitivity of only 84dB. Thank you for watching and sharing your experiences 😊
I recently took your advice and auditioned the elac debut for my denon mini system but richer sound had the q acoustics concept 20 on offer for 200 and I couldn’t believe how much better they were , so I bought them and I can only imagine how good these ones are your reviewing
Concept 20s at 200 quid are a good deal!
@@RasheedKhan-he6xx their amazing for the price , knocking the cabinets they sound like hitting brick , not a single hollow sound , they really do have a case in a case
That is great buddy. Really pleased it all worked out 😊👍
Great review I love those stands I'm familiar with those speakers I always thought this dance were architecturally really cool.
Thank you 😊👍
Always enjoy your reviews👍
Thank you Andreas 😊👍
Thanks for this…I am so not in the market for speakers…but I always love to increase my awareness…
I'll take mine in the Silver/Ebony with a nice helping of stands, please! 🙂
Cool 😎 thank you for watching Bob 😊👍
Thank you Tarun for the review. I am still between speakers but leaning very much for the Forte IV, but after I demo the Wharfedale EVO 4.4 and the Prestige Founder, but besides this, I am curious if you still have the Elipson xls 15? And have you heard the Elipson Prestige 24 or 34 models. I have not found a dealer of these speakers here in the US, or around me for that matter but the companies speakers look very interesting, and I still liked the review you did on the xls15's. Curious what speakers in your history that you have found do very good on low quality music sources and that play many genres of music equally as good across the spectrum? Cheers, Mark. Hope you are well.
Thank you Mark. Much appreciated. The XLS 15s went back after the review. I hope to review more of their speakers but haven’t as yet. The more revealing the speaker the less well it tends to do with poor recordings. However, speakers that have more recessed upper mids and highs, like the Concept 300s and the Buchardt S400s, tend to draw less attention to the shortcomings in recordings that are normally prominent at those frequencies 😊👍
So this was a very interesting video for me in a slightly unexpected way. Tarun has finally reviewed a product I am quite familiar with and arrived at very different conclusions from mine. This is not good or bad in itself, it just tells me that unfortunately our tastes and approach differ and heneceforth while I will continue to watch the channel and support it as I have since its very early days, I'll now do so out of academic interest rather than thinking "ooh maybe I should check that bit of kit out".
That is a shame Rasheed but I appreciate you watching and your support 😊
Would love to know what conclusion you came to
Tarun, thank you for great videos! Can I ask for an advice? I'm starting to build my first hifi setup and I'm struggling in choosing the amp for Tannoy Platinum F6 speakers. Any advices on manufacturer+model or pricerange at least? Thank You!
Thank you Nick. I haven’t heard the F6 but the Iota VX SA3 is a very good amplifier that works well with a wide variety of speakers 😊👍
You are killing it dude!👍👍👍👍
Thank you buddy. Very kind 😊👍👍
That is a very interesting review and I gained some respect for the technical prowess of the Q Acoustic brand. Up to now I outright disliked them and that is purely based on aesthetics which is obviously a matter of personal taste. This is one of those products that for me are a deal breaker purely based on how they look. The rectangular ratios are all out of whack and they have done the two tone or even two texture with the sides that rub my hair in the wrong direction. To top it off it has this stand that makes the picture complete. But that's just me. Thanks for enlightening me about what this speaker is all about, I can't fault the brand for catering to that market section.
Thank you for watching and sharing Hugo. You nailed it,they are going for a particular type of consumer with this speaker 😊👍
Good evening tarun, another in depth review of a very interesting speaker. I've used several Q acoustic speakers over the years to great effect, excellent value for money and sound quality above the norm. Great looking garden by the way, looking forward to seeing another review soon.
Thank you Paul. I would love to get some of their more accessible speakers. I appreciate you watching and your support 😊👍
Excellent review Taran - I've been looking at the 3030i from Q as well. Have you also considered the new Mission QX-2 for review? I've heard great things about these.👍
Than you Paul. I am not getting much response from IAG (Mission’s parent company) but I hope to review more Q Acoustic speakers soon 😊👍
Thanks for another interesting review.
Thank you for watching Richard 😊👍
Being more than contended with up to 80% of my listening content with my warm sounding Q acoustics 3020i, in my mind am just trying to justify splashing out for that other 20% (classical) mind you if one wants clarity I suppose one is going to have to fork out! And if they sound half as good as a look... I suppose it will be worth it!
Thanks tarun for your enjoyable but hard work! 👍👍👍
EDIT:
When are you going to get your shit sorted.... I want a British audiophile t-shirt !!!
Thank you buddy. I would love to review their more accessible speakers. You are right, I should get my act together and do that 😊👍
G'day Taran interesting review. I found myself finishing one of your statements. A premium look with a premium finished but for me unfortunately not a premium sound. Given the cost I just found them a little rolled off and dare I say it boring for my tastes. But that said you did do them justice and they do look nice and did in your room.🎧👍😁
Thank you Shane. I appreciate you watching and sharing your experiences 😊👍
I used to own a pair of Q Acoustic 3050I floor standers, which I thought were phenomenal for their price. Actually I’d have been impressed with them even at a higher price.
Anyways, when I decided to substantially upgrade my system, I immediately auditioned the Concept 300 big brother, the Concept 500. I was disappointed. They sounded, well, flat, lifeless even. Yes, I did try a number of different amps, none of which, I felt, could inject any life into them.
I thought your review of the Concept 300 was. Excellent. Accurate and truthful whilst remaining polite. I don’t doubt that in the right environment, these speakers could, be a welcome addition to the right persons system. Their just not for me!
Thank you Howard. Very kind. I appreciate you sharing your experiences 😊👍
Good morning Taryn. I just started the video I just wanted to tell you good morning let's hear about these speakers brother hope you guys have a good weekend always good to see you thank you for your content have a good one brother ✌️
Thank you my friend. I hope you enjoy the video a have a great weekend too 😊👍
Nice review as usual!
Thank you David 😊👍
Tarun, You think the Concept 500 will be a big step above my Proac DT8’s?
Thanks
I don’t think so but worth a try 😊
@@abritishaudiophile7314 Always appreciate your honesty and straightforwardness !
Im assuming you have heard the Proac DT8’s. What do you think a good step up from them would be if you don’t mind me asking?
I am looking for something with a bit more clarity in the low end and better soundstage. I love a full bodied midrange for violins, cellos, but at the same time want them to be quick for rock.
I was looking at the revel performa 226be. But I haven’t heard them yet.
@@Nightjar726 the Revel will be interesting to hear. I haven’t had a proper listen myself. I would add the ATC SCM40s and the ProAc D48R to your shortlist. The rest of the system needs to be up to the task for them to sing 😊
@@abritishaudiophile7314 to be honest I think it’s my room mostly. The left speaker has no wall behind it so I ‘ built’ a fake wall out of a bookcase reversed. 🤦♂️. Lol
I would love to audition an ATC, Revel and another Proac.
Interesting review yet again Tarun.
I get what they are trying to do with the stands as a minimalist approach but for me it's a slightly bigger footprint and a trip hazard in some situations. I have a pair of Q acoustic 2020i with their Q acoustic stands driven with an Exposure amp. I found them to very accurate particularly the tweeter. They were replaced with Vienna Acoustic speakers and now reside in another room.
At that price point I would be more inclined to seek out a floor standing speaker.
I totally understand where you are coming from. I think the Concept 300s should look best in a modern, minimalist living space 😊
So, what do you think, the Yamaha as2200 will play a little too calmly with the Qaccoustic concept 300. I have the opportunity to buy the concept 500 but I have no way to check how they play together.
Synergy is a strange and elusive thing. Not sure about how they will pair together 😊
Thanks for the review, but the Stereophile measurements don't show any kind of rolloff. They actually show a rise in the treble.
True. People say its open sounding speaker, just very forgiving and without excessive details. I have Concepts 500, coming from Focal Electras, and don't think QA is rolled off, just without all the details pushed into your face.
The graph you are referring to is John’s nearfield anechoic response. Taken with a gated window to determine the direct sound. He also explained in the following graph that the speaker becomes quite directional at high frequencies. In a listening environment 88% of the sound is from reflections (according to research by Dr. Sean Olive). What effect do you think that will have to the sound power measurement when taken from a realistic listening position of about 3m?
This is precisely why people should not judge sound quality solely based on measurements. If performed independently by people who really know what they are doing, measurements can reveal aspects of how a speaker can sound and are a useful tool in detecting problems with a design. If you want to judge sound quality, in the end, there is no substitute for listening for yourself.
Interesting take on the voicing there Mr. T... I've not seen other reviews not mention this - it's the sort if thing you only get from someone with a string tech background. The mounting system is news to me too. Interesting stuff.
And as my first step back into proper hifi was was a pair of Q's 3050i, I'd be very curious to learn what their current entry level range is up to.
While you're messing about down at that level, a video putting together a budget or first system (inspired by the last couple of videos by Mr Darko) is something I'd love to see your take on, and would help a lot of people. If it's something you have the resources fo of course. Perhaps someone like Richer Sounds or one of the other larger retailers would be keen to help and show off the ability to audition gear at home? It's gotta be worth asking!
Thank you Mr J. Much appreciated. 😊👍
I have been working on getting some more accessible gear in for a while. It is proving elusive other than the stuff from Chinese manufacturers. A lot of the main stream manufacturers are having record sales years whilst dealing with supply chain issues. I am sure that doesn’t help the availability of accessible gear for review 🤔
@@abritishaudiophile7314 I guess while they're selling all they can make they don't need reviews quite so much eh! Ah, a shame. I've enjoyed the Chinese stuff, it's been interesting to see their take on it all. Good luck dude.
I’m watching this as a local audio store is doing a clearance sale of old inventory, selling a last pair of these speakers with stands for only $2,000 USD, which was used for a 2 day demo show at a hotel recently. They still consider it new where a product warranty of 1 year to still apply. I‘ve had several cars with premium audio setups but am now considering to start enjoying music at home. This will be my first hifi home setup in short, still clueless what amp to pair this set of speakers with. Is this an opportunity I shouldn’t pass up on? Will appreciate any shared thoughts!
It is a good deal. I don’t think you would loose too much even if you had to sell it on later down the line. I would love to have tried it with the NAD M10. That would be some great compact lifestyle system. I think the NAD may have the right tone to balance this speaker. As always you can never tell unless you try 😊

Hi , i listen to music with the same marantz pm 7000n amplifier combined with the pair of q acoustic concept 40 floorstanding speakers with which I am satisfied. Lately, however, I was thinking about buying the q acoustic speakers or the concept 300 speakers, I was wondering since I do not have the possibility of being able to listen to them due to the lack of listening rooms in my vicinity if you had had the opportunity to listen to the Marantz combination pm 700n and concept 300 and therefore you knew how to express your opinion, mine is as much as you can hear better than with the concepts you can still think about the amplifier there is not it makes you express all the talent that the concept 300 should , at that point I would have made a purchase that I would have regretted even for the expensive expense of the 300 concept.
Thank you for sharing 😊
Fine review as usual ! I don't like the stands, stylistically and fonctionally because my dog will certainly topple those if I were to buy them. My current sandfilled stands does a better job and 4 spikes planted in the carpet help maintain stability. An interesting concept but not for everybody! Thanks!
Thank you Yves. You are right, the stands are going to divide opinion 😊👍
From your description, the speaker’s damped enclosure design is not common in the industry. I can’t fault it, but I disagree with damping using this method. Removal of enclosure energy is best occurring through a dampened and sturdy stand. They thought long and hard over this. I’ve not heard them so I must refrain from other judgements. Isolation stands do not work as well as direct energy drain types, even into sand trap bases. This is my opinion, but the ear test is the best judge for anyone. To each his or her own. You are very much correct about the better quality of gear has a great impact on your sound quality. Considering the amount of engineering that went into this speaker, no wonder it retails in this price range. Hope their choice of crossover components isn’t compromised as much as the others. Speaker manufacturers still haven’t caught on to that contribution yet. In audio there are too many compromises. Stay safe my mates!😊👍🏻😷
I was looking forward to your expert opinion on this one Mark. As always thank you for watching and your insights 😊👍
Yes...mechanical grounding. I've had great success with massive sand filled stands and floor jacks in the basement. You can tune the bass with the jack screws. Really! I was quite surprised by this.
Thanks

Nice video! I am also really looking forward to your take on yamaha as-1200, because I've been interested in that amplifier. It looks really sweet, has enough power for my usage and as far as I'm concerned is built pretty robust. I've got the feeling that it may not be the best match with my speakers, argon 1, though.
Thank you Antti. The U.K. distributor has let me hang on to the Argon 1s for a while. Probably because there are no hifi shows at the moment. I shall be testing that combination this weekend 😊👍

A little surprised at the Concept 300's midrange performance, as the MTM design of the Concept 500 seems wel regarded by users so far. I wonder if doubling up on the midrange drivers aids the clarity?

Another excellent and factual review Tarun, thanks. Having said that these would definitely not be for me. I prefer floor standing but when I hear minimalist & lifestyle then I personally run a mile but that's just my taste and it certainly wouldn't 'do' if we all had the same likes, dislikes and taste would it? As an aside regarding my own speaker search I've had a (shop) test of the B&W 702 S2 which I loved and in a couple of weeks I have a test of them at home with my vintage bi-amped system. If that goes as well as the shop test then ........... :-) Anyway, thanks again for another excellent review. PS. how about a 'maximalist' speaker review?
Thank you Keith. Always great to learn about your experiences. I would like to review some more big speakers. Storage and moving them around become the limiting factor. Should be some floorstander reviews down the pipeline though 😊👍
@@abritishaudiophile7314 As I previously mentioned I reviewed the KEF R7 and although the sound was great I felt it wasn't too different from my vintage KEF C95's. It certainly wouldn't make sense to buy those for not too much improvement. I had to wait for the B&W 702 S2 to come into the shop but when they did I was blown away. Much better than I ever expected. The sound is what I can only describe as 'pure'. They're expensive but they blew me away and it's not often I can say something like that. I'm so looking forward to the home test.

You should get Neumann 120 I bought...they just dismiss everything else and go straight to Proac level...nearfield listening, though! 6' max.
Thank you for the heads up 😊
Look forward to seeing the Yamaha amp review
Should be soon 😊
@@abritishaudiophile7314 And how soon before the full planar speaker review come out?
@@mgsboedmisodpc2 no plans for a planar in the short term. Would love to get my hands on the Maggie LRS though 😊
The footprint of the stands is quite large; perhaps they would do better with more than one option as I foresee a limited market for the stands as they are.
Thank you for watching Pablo. The stands are going to be polarising 😊
Ya know since the stands are bolted to the speaker one can use stiff hose like speaker cables with these speakers not having to worry if the heavier than the speakers cables will pull them off the stand platform
Good point 😊
Thanks Tarun. Id give myself a week before I tripped on the stands. Gravity is the enemy.
I get clumsier as I get older too 😂👍
Unfortunately, the depth of the speaker forces you to move it even further into the room to avoid interaction with the rear wall. A front port would likely help with that
Good point Bill. I suspect that would have made the speaker a bit taller which is why they put it on the back 😊
Hello Taran, I just wanted to inform you, that for some reason I was unsubscribed from your channel. Just thought you may want to know. Plus I've been here since the beginning of your you tube reviews and purchased the Hegel 160 because of it and are very happy. So getting unsubscribed from here isn't cool. Now I can get back to watching this review.
Great to have you back my friend. I hope you enjoy the review 😊👍
please review the new Concept 50
I appreciated the suggestion. Unfortunately , at the moment floorstanders are out until my building works have been completed 😊
These speakers do seem to be more lifestyle than HiFi. For a smaller speaker, they have a large footprint. I have a feeling the PMC 21i’s and ATC 19’s will give much more ‘HiFi’ sound for less, with quality stands and a much smaller footprint. I get the point of them and as long as buyers enjoy the music, everyone is a winner.
Thank you Billy 😊
I’ve owned a pair of Q’s Concept 20 for some time now and only just got them out to listen to as I only bough them out of interest and that they were on offer, I’m gobsmacked how good they sound, better than speakers I’ve owned costing considerably more.
Thank you for watching and sharing your experiences Tony 😊
This is the problem I have with modern standmounts: size.
Height and width is no issue but the depth of most are ludicrously large, almost like a small floorstander turned horizontally. Surely the whole point of standmounts or bookcase is they are ideal for smaller rooms - I find that a compact floorstander are easier with placement.
Of course there many brands of standmounts that are small enough, such as Neat, Amphions, Totems and others that falls into that size bracket
Q Acoustics, Dynaudio, Kef R series etc etc are way too deep for the average small to medium room
Not all standmounts are created for bookshelf or close to wall placement 😊
@@abritishaudiophile7314
Agreed. But they are still termed as bookshelf or standmounted speakers, which can be misconstrued by those with little experience.
I purchased the Rubicon 2 to replace my PMC TB2i as they were too wide and high, it was purely an exercise in downsizing. The fact the Rubis offer better sound quality was a nice bonus.
But dismissed KEF R3, Q Acoustics not because of a lack of SQ but would be a headache when it came to placement.
As you well know Tarun hi-fi is and always will be a compromise - a trade-off.
If space is really tight infinite baffle designs, such as Harbeth P3 or ATC SCM7 or 12 are more flexible with placement. The trade off is they need a punchy amp with a clean current to hear them at their best.
@@abritishaudiophile7314
One of my favourite standmounts of all time was the original Dynaudio Contour S1.4. They are, though, eye wateringly deep. Almost need to catch a bus to check the rear terminals.
When building a system you need to build it around room size and acoustics - in my opinion that's as important as the system itself. And if it's a living room where your system is located acoustic panels for me are a complete no no.
...first to respond am listening and I know I will enjoy it bro
Thank you Prem. I hope you do 😊👍
Hi Tarun, great review as always. These seem to be chasing a niche within an already small market. It’s the niche which is occupied by Bang & Olufsen, not terrible sounding but the looks impress the neighbours. Think I’ll pass.
Thank you Mark. I see what you mean. A lot of people these days want an elegant solution. I could see these speakers making a fine sounding system with an a good all-in-one like the NAD M10. Simple, elegant, good sound and high spouse acceptance factor 😊👍
nice review Tarun, those stands tho... I dont like them at all
Thanks you JD. They stands will divide opinion 😊👍
Hi Tarun. I love the look of these speakers and I'm sure they sound great, but I cannot help thinking that with the stands they seem less of a bargain, when you could buy the floorstanders for just an extra £1000. I personally would stretch my wallet and go for the concept 500.
Fair point. I guess some people will want the stand mount to look less intrusive and work better in smaller rooms 😊
@@abritishaudiophile7314 yes I would agree. Thanks for sharing.
@@abritishaudiophile7314 Agreed Steve, don't like the stands! Looks like they should have a camera on top, not speakers. A small floor stander would look less obtrusive in my view.
@@mikebooth8858 I like compact floorstanders too but these are very non intrusive for a relatively large floorstander 😊
Peter Tyson got these up for £1350 so thought it's worth a watch again
@@Birmingham_racing wow. That is a bargain 👍
strange that the beautiful rosewood veneer is at the back and not the front
That is unusual 😊
it kinda reminds me of these things in the game Portal that try to kill you with their lasers.
LOL. Smooth gester
Great review, too bad i would not be able to afford them.
Thank you. They are a few quid but they do some more accessible speaker that offer a lot for the money 😊👍
+/- 0.5 dB is very little adjustment. I doubt I would even hear the difference. Sure like the proportions of the cabinet.
It is a subtle adjustment 😊
I think your Room would look much better if your Amplifier Cabinet.
Was Perpendicular to the Wall and 6" from the corner facing the Camera.
Thank you for the suggestion 😊
One tipsy guest may be all it takes to send a speaker crashing down. The look is cool but the functionality?-not so sure.
The Q line sounded great paired with Vinni Rossi at 2019 RMAF show I attended.- Oops! That was QLN of Sweden not Q Acoustics (did you mention where they are made?)! My bad! Mans got to watch his Ps and Qs eh?
Good one Jeff. I will have to double check where they are made 😊
Speaker: Nice small footprint intelligently designed.
Stands: Takes up more floor space than a couple of sleeping St Bernards.
Good one 😂
To me, it looks kind of clumsy on those spidery stands, even if they designed for them.
I understand that 😊
I don't see how those stands could be considered minimalist, they are the most convoluted, ridiculous looking contraption I can imagine for holding up a speaker.
I understand. From a coupe of metres away, you can see a lot through the stand. That is what I meant by non intrusive and minimalist 😊
Way more performance then it costs????
I dont think 4k dollars for this size of speakers will never bring better value for money.
Thank you for sharing 😊
Why don't they offer beryllium tweeter,, s 🤭
I would worry the dog, the kids or the missus would knock the speakers over
I understand your concerns Brian but the stands are actually very stable 😊
Hi Tarun. Not heard these speakers but those stands put me right off, they look like some temporary scaffolding. For this sort of money I would go for floor standers with a footprint smaller than these ugly legs.
Understandable. No pun intended. The stands are an acquired taste 😊
Don’t like the stands on these orthodox ones on myConcept 40……
Understood
7:27 "what the hell.."
I know 😂
@@abritishaudiophile7314 love it
Truly was not impressed by this speaker. Very dull, sound is nowhere near the asking price.
That is a shame 😊
Stands are the ugliest yet
