I love how you are finding ways to make RUclips content by hanging out with friends you enjoy talking to (like on the live on retros channel). I think youtube can be a social platform for creators to hang out and let others see you learn from each other 😊
Every japanese distributor i talk to hikes the prices up over and over and i cant see margins
Yeah everyone expecting japanese to be immune to those english spikes is clueless. Japanese will also get more and more insane. It's not your salvation like he saying in the vid.
This^^^
this. they alrdy kn this and are workin it ha
It's a business for everyone, the real margins are in buying a ton of cases - there's also a bunch of different japanese sellers I've spoken to and you basically just need to keep shopping around until you get a really good one. There are out there
I found a dealer from Japan who sells Terastal Festival booster boxes for about $54 a box.
Is this a good deal?
This man has surging sparks he’s holding back people
No doubt about it.
Every TCG tuber that has access to distro/ know people got to have a lot sitting waiting for more to climb.
His website for paradox rift is out of stock, but clearly has cases right behind him. lol I'm not mad, but it's annoying.
and?
I admire you, not only for your credability checks, but for the way you have continuously tried to start your own businesses. I seriously have looked up to you for a while now and I appreciate all of your tips/tricks/guidance and real no-nonsense talk!
"I turn off the comments, I come back and people forget but I'm rich" had me dying.
You're a real dude. I'll also like one of those cred shirts please. :p
Keep it up!
Couldnt agree more. No nonsense and great insights fanning away the foggy crap thats being sprouted in this bull market. Japanse is the future.
I don't wanna be a business owner but truly enjoy your content. Thanks
Smart guy. Very honest as well. 😊 thank you, hilarious too
Nooooo don't get the moneybros back onto japaense cards I need this shit cheap so I can keep collecting 😅
There’s always another language to jump to, you can still get Korean eevee heroes for like 50-60 bucks
@@jamwallace24 Card quality and product types man. Korean cards are not printed the same way, Japanese is king for that, and products like the collection files for battle partners do not exist in Korean
Japanese it’s the real OG
Chinese is the play man exclusive promos and anti-counterfitting holos
@nickcarballo6039 its tough to get the product and there's production quality differences between slim and jumbo packs, im on the fence about it.
I almost die laughing at your vids almost every time. Real business. Real talk. But quality dry funny lol
Dont ruin that for us too. Keep it a secret ffs.
Seriously
Talk too much lol
He wants to make sure the japanese market runs up also. So he can still buy cheap and sell to these Timmy's
he sells japanese lol. This is literally an ad for his own site
@ Yes, he sells more Japanese cards than anything but he is advising people to try and resell them now. No legitimate business is watching his videos to get advice, he is speaking to the scalpers (resellers, yes there is not a difference). He is monetizing his own business while gaining some revenue from the videos. He has explained this before. He does not need to advertise on RUclips, he was successful before that.
Not gunna lie, already lookin at japanese cards because of the price of scalpers and hard to get english with the new sets
I jumped to Japanese with Terafest, bc I just collect for the art, never resell, and it's in my budget.
Japanese scalpers are selling products exclusively to foreigners like you.
Oh, it's going to happen Japanese too. Just wait.
You've inspired me to start my pokemon card business, thank you Seth Green!!! :D
Keep growing and informing us Brian. Appreciate your transparency and content. Keep rocking in 2025 and to 100K subs soon! 😊
That Cred Ability ✔️ shirt, is next lvl ❤🎉
I don't sell pokemon but have an online business I have ran for 10 years in another niche. This dude knows his stuff big time. Also I want the credibility shirt at cost please!
The ebb and flow of japanese to english is always interesting to follow.
im pretty sure watching you with all these content you have made, made many people become successful in selling pokemon. so far youve been just straight up talk to help anyone understand how these market works and ofcourse i learn a lot from you
I’ve actually started working with a Japanese partner and have some products coming for my site. My only concern is the import process of customs duties taxes etc. I understand orders $800 or less typically have no duties or fees, but I’m not sure about larger orders. I spoke with Fed-Ex about it a bit but could you do a video about your experience with the importing customs duties and fees when importing if any that you’ve dealt with?
Couldn’t agree more. Thanks to you, I built a website and diversified into Japanese Pokemon! I’m excited to see what I can do this year … not off to a great start as I got chargeback scammed out of 11 Terastal Festival boxes … but that’s a story for another time. 😅
I feel you on that. I got a couple of charge back scam and stopped my website. Now it’s back up and I’m more cautious.
@Yeah mine is down as of yesterday because they came back and tried again. Definitely going to be more cautious moving forward. We must prevail! I can spot the red flags, but do you also “vet” the customers and if so how? Thanks and best of luck man!
I don't own a store but can you set up security to prevent that? Like the I'm not a robot type deal?
1000% want a t-shirt!! It is awesome!
I wanted to get terrestrial festival but you were sold out so I went to Danny's store I like this set.
Hey I've looked on the site and don't see surging sparks. I'm looking to complete my set as well as my two boys. We would like to know if available please. Thanks for all you do. Love the straight fowardness!
Learned something new today when selling. Thanks for your tidbits that I think a lot of people gloss over.
Alot of haters on here. Half are saying dont ruin the secret, while the other half is saying its terrible advice. Make up your minds lol, i think its good advice and appreciate the video, this strategy will definitely be used by alot of shops this coming year.
Crazy how you truly give the full playbook on doing exactly what you do. Hope you have a great 2025 man
Japanese is the way. Just be careful if you’re selling it and the market turns. For example, last year Shiny Treasure ex price CRASHED after release. If you bought a ton to sell and hadn’t already sold it all as preorders, you could have gotten wrecked. Though in the short term it feels like the market is unstoppable.
This is 100% truth and so relatable to me and my business in Australia. I am in the exact same position as Bryan and I would basically say the exact same thing to my community. I started with doing Japanese also and it's around 30-40% of my sales volume, it's readily available most of the time and much more affordable.
you have no idea the amount of damage you are doing to the Pokémon industry this side.
Japanese scalpers are selling products exclusively to foreigners like you.
Some stores have to ban adults so that kids can get cards in the only language they understand.
Please stick to English products instead of being greedy.
Is your greed is worth a little kid that does not English not being able to get Pokémon cards?
@21Kikoshi sorry but I am just running a business and providing products people want by the only means there is. It is no different to anywhere in the world right now and products in different languages are sold all over the world. Scalping will go on WORLDWIDE with or without my participation. I am not someone that created this environment and I'm sure you will argue well you are contributing to the problem but that's capitalism and that is the reality we live in. I'm not here to agree or disagree with what is going on and there are much worse issues in the world than pokemon card scalping but in saying that, pokemon cards are widely available in Japan and can be accessed by locals in the form of sealed products and singles across multiple physical and online stores. Yes there may not be an abundance of product or prices may be higher than locals like but we have the same issue here and in the US with English releases right? Consumer demand will subside once the economic conditions turn and there will be an abundance of product again no one wants and the cycle will repeat.
@21Kikoshi You are full of BS, you forgot that we can see what is going on in Japan. Stores are well stocked with plenty of product at less than MSRP in Japan.
Great transparent video. At the end of the day you will win the market over👍
Thanks for all the great tips Brain! Started my online shop in November 2024 so just about a month and a half ago. So far I’m 2k in total sales thank to your tips. Started selling with my own personal collection then found a Japanese supplier whom I trust. Hopefully this year will be good if I continue what I keep doing
He's not wrong. I already got my japanese folks lined up and their daily price listing. I already have Battle Partners pre-ordered. PokeNe, you are the best!!
Same I jumped on a case for 699.
@ItsPhurpl i got in too late on the first day of pre-order and had to go a different route. Right now I'm looking at the other sets like stella or night of change. Lets go 2025!!
@@ItsPhurpl 699 for a case???? Good god. My guy has very competitive pricing, and he is at $1000 per case on the Battle Partners..
What did you pay for Battle Partners, looking to preorder now and wondering how my connections price is
@@SG-ew6kd i got mine for $80 a box. Now every where is $100 up. Insane.
I started looking for Japanese Distributors right aftet watching this and I'm already about to place my first order, a little nervous but hopefully it goes well! Thanks for the advice
That’s awesome! I’ve been looking around and not going to lie it seems sketchy but I’m willing to take the risk. Who did you end up ordering from?
How do you find japanese distributors?
Thanks for sharing this info my man
Thoughts on sports cards vs mtg & one piece?
If you aren't already talking to Korean or Chinese suppliers, I think you should be doing that now also.
Yeah it's funny no more than few months back people couldn't look at those for being no more than meme worthy. Even though the print quality is superb and there're the same ilustrations. Now that english and japanese became impossible to get at normal price, people will be ok with getting them. Funny. I was saying that for years now.
The Simplified Chinese 151 set looks FIREEE. Thanks for the reminder to reach out to Chinese supps.
@@ant_989 Yeah, Korean Eevee Heroes already is going up in price
Korean cards will be next then when the Korean cards are too expensive it will be Chinese then Thai etc.
I'm in! Just jumped in with a little nudge from Poke NE! Thanks for the awesome videos
Some1 who keeps it real 100% of the time 👌
Can you please add an "in stock" filter to your website? It would be much appreciated, thanks.
Enjoyed this information, and you bet im gonna be making alot of time this week to meet some people, i also gotta mention selling singles is insanely easy right now, some of you should try that.
Aye where do i get the shirt please.
LOL THE SHIRT IS THAT NEW
Totally agree. If I had the capital to start the business I would be willing to START with Japanese, korean and the less desirable sets.
Wouldn’t be where I am now without Japanese boxes 💯
Great video as always Brian!
Thank you Seth Green!!
Hey @PokeNE, how long does it take your suppliers on average to ship an order and give you the tracking info after purchasing? Immediately? 1-2 days? 1 week ect
i appreciate the transparency
Very wise advise. This has all happened before in 2021. Go ahead and start looking into Japanese or be left behind in the market shift.
you've become my favorite entrepreneur
Best exit EVER!! 🤣 I’ll buy a cred ability shirt at cost!! 😛
Where would you guys look for japanese distributors or sellsperson? And do you sell on cardmarket afterwards or do you have your own website? Is it even lucratif to sell on cardmarket?
I got 2 Japanese vendors willing to work with me. What sets do you recommend I start with. I’m thinking older sets to start off with. Any recommendations ?
The emergency call to Japan vid just dropped
Will you restock your Terastal festival booster boxes online
How much money would you recommend to start a Pokémon Business? Including logo, promoting, supplies, domain, etc
I spent $1600. Starting product, website, business email, shipping supplies.
I started with $500 and sold locally meeting up with people to sell and just kept buying more and more products and posted it all, news, pack opening to build a online presence then eventually built a website,…. Still small time but I honestly love it
@@PokeTrainerMarc It's a BLAST!
We started reselling roughly $500 worth of product at MSRP. It snowballed pretty quickly but ONLY because market prices are wild right now. Reselling English is to help accelerate buying more Japanese product and isn’t a long term strategy.
I started on Facebook meeting up with people and selling. I bought Close to $1000 worth of stock then I followed this channels guide on how to create a website and stuff.
So far is going well on Facebook while I'm working to build up and sell internationally
My take is that right now is not the best time to enter the game. You will be starting at the very bottom when even the big guys are fighting for allocation.
its so easy to find a japanese person to get your inventory
If I were looking to buy Japanese product from some guy on Instagram, what prices should I even be looking for?
Message MULTIPLE potential sellers to get a decent sample size of proces. Take the ¥ price and convert it to $. Compare that to Pokene, and whoever else is selling it in the US.

Pokemon is for all ages at this point. It's a +30 year old media franchise, with fans of all ages.
I don't want to pay scalper prices, that's why I'm asking what realistic pricing is. Sticking to English product would be great. But getting it at a price where is any margin is even harder than Japanese.
@@OfficialPokeReaper I've messaged a few, I'll keep at it. So far the prices I see are the same/worse than what I could just buy from US stores. No margin at those prices.
yes
I like option 1, but instead I open it and me and my 2 boys enjoy it together.
I think its gonna boom
yooooo. i'd get a shirt, i was one of them that suggested it on that video that's now private. i had to search up my comment haha
I currently live in Japan due to work, I was going to buy products here. Some of the stuff i want to open for my personal collection, the rest I was going to hold on to and the sell if I go back to the states
Would you be open to do some business?
keep pushing the conent!
Wish I had the space to start something like this because I definitely don’t have the funds for a store front
I don't know why each time as I see you, I remember Beorn of the hobbit movie
With the recent increase in prices of all Japanese sets, would you still buy at these prices as a small business
Yes, because even if the bigger fish got in earlier and cheaper once they run out they will be getting them at current prices. That should allow for pretty competitive prices for us small fish.
I'll legit place an order on your site tomorrow morning for an opportunity at a credibility check shirt 😂 what's cost?
Japanese card box sold out already on preorder. Try other language like Indonesian or Chinese might be easier to get the product.
Got 4 Japanese sellers lined up and a friend in Japan were making moves this year
I have seen many wire transfers get held up while sending even more to Japanese sellers. And then get nothing 3xs in 1 month each wire was 7k xs 3 21k . So good luck finding a Japanese distro. Hopefully you have enough you can keep sending. 😮
@ its not distros just wholesalers who get from distros in Japan

2056 goals: Finally start looking for a Korean distributor as I've been completely priced out of Japan for decades and English before I could even login to Instagram
I sell on whatnot for a while, I have 10k in inventory, mostly singles, was wondering what would be the best way to connect with so Japanese distributors. Any links would help. And what margins would you have?
are you carry Battle Partners soon? want that Promo
If he’s going to get the promo, he’s gonna take a huge loss because Japanese suppliers are all selling them separately.
Damn, this is good stuff.
would you recommend spanish cards?
Better late then never. Time to hunt and spend some money lol
Near impossible to get a plug for Canada on product…real shame.
40 minutes Later, I found 5 japanese sellers! I thought it would be harder. Thanks for hanging the carrot in front of my nose! I'm a hungry ass. For real, thanks for the help.
Thanks for making me get my ass in gear Brian.
And dont forget terastal festival has better pull rates than prisma
My name is Brian... My hair isn't as nice as yours, but I'm ready to make friends with many people in Japan.
I'm 16, what can I do to start workin towards starting a pokemon business, sadly I have no income yet but I'm planning to start my first job in the summer so what could help me out.
What’s this dudes motive for inspiring people to compete against his own small business
Ad revenue and the knowledge that 99.9% of people won’t actually compete
@ I’m in the U.K. /ireland and interested in starting a business based on your advise just not sure if this is a “if it sounds too good to be true it usually is” things lol because I’m not sure I’ll be making videos telling the locals how copy me if mine takes off for 3k a month ad revenue . With a million dollars a year invested in stock 🤔
Oh it’s not too good to be true. This is unironically an extremely extremely stressful, and time consuming job
And that’s the problem! Where do we meet these people? Been searching but no distributor is giving
English like he not going to happen at the moment. Japanese got to do some digging on insta or social platforms. Japanese companies will not give you a distribution contract but if you can find someone who lives there as a middle man. That's the way to do it. Just got to dig for them. Shouldn't be hard

Also this never happens but somehow Alliance hooked me up with cases of PE and I have a $0 spend on Pokemon with them. Insane 😂 My other distros where it’s like 50-100k they got me 1-10 boxes….
We don’t know what these releases will look like in big retail stores like Walmart and target
what about traditional Hong Kon Chinese pokemon? They have Taiepi 101 Pikachu.
Literally thinking of trading prismatic for terestal.
Stop buying Japanese, please.🙏
Can’t get Tera Fes anywhere here now. It’s been exported far too much! Kind of sad that the Japanese people here can’t get any but you will see foreign RUclipsrs opening tons of it on videos or rip n ships. 😔
My man was a total savage just now... That was hot lmao
japanese boutta go insano mode this year i was just talking about this earlier today!
Restocking inventory is why I haven’t sold what I have. I don’t know how to acquire more with any margins. I started stocking two years ago. I could sell what I have in a week. Then what? I looked into how to acquire Japanese and it was a dead end.
Not talking to the right people then
What are your thoughts on starting a "business" selling singles/slabs. Japanese/English? I was thinking about doing this as a side-job to earn more income and maybe in some years earn enough to quit my job. I work in IT and work remote...and I've got time to list and scour the internet for best prices.
I agree. People that enjoy the collecting side of the hobby will switch to Japanese just for ease of access and affordability. Don't let the scalpers hear this or this s*** will be twice the price and impossible to find as well.
This man is 💯 and yes everybody thats gonna do this now.. you’re already late. This is nothing new that he’s telling. Only people forget and this man takes the extra money from it because we all Watch this. Its just funny and Bro Nice done! Get thoose nummers and steal more cash from RUclips 👍👍
Its a wrap. Put the fries in the bag bro. 🍟
Nope ...no buying Japanese unless i dont start learning how to read them 😂
