There's since been a newer version since I posted this. Layers you can now find, if for example you click on eraser - then down where the eraser settings are, (like opacity) there's a litle arrow. Click it and go on add tab. From there you get lots of choices, one is layers. Then it'll open a layers tab for you. It's much more complicated now I think but hey .........
@Sparkythehedgehog878 or instead of doing that u could go to windows which is on the top of your picture and go to the recently removed and u'll find it
sorry if you thought i ment somthing, bad i was just looking for somthing else, this is a good tutorial, but i was looking for somone to help me figure out why when i make an animation the last frame stys in the animation
When I try saving it under .gif, I get an error message that says "Delay inserted to prevent evil CPU-sucking animation" with an exclamation mark? Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? When I view my animation, there's always these brief periods of "white" screens that interrupt the animation.

Yeah, that's right. I doubled the layers up to avoid it being too fast.

It's a shame Facebook won't allow moving avatars for another year or so! I have some funny ideas for one!
I did everything right but when I opened it, it didn't play, btw it didn't ask me if I wanted to flatten the image or save it as an animation.

well im trying to make an image move and it moves but it shows the last place it was in
6.2 = dialogs
6.4 = filters
GIMP is free downloadable right?
do u know how much space it takes up?
why copied all layers 2 times???
