Lab scale extrusion and spheronization with the Multi Bowl Spheronization Kit

In this video, we're using the Extruder 20 (E20) and the Multi Bowl Spheronizer (MBS) to create a 1 kilogram batch of pellets.
The Extruder 20 is a screen extruder. It uses 2 rollers to gently push material through the screen, creating extrudate. This form of extrusion generates less heat than most other methods of extrusion, such as screw extrusion, making it ideal for a lot of pharmaceutical applications where heat generation may be an issue.
After the material has been extruded, it is placed into the Multi Bowl Spheronizer for spheronization. The MBS has 4 different bowl sizes available which allow it to spheronize as little at 5 grams of material with it's smallest bowl, up to 1.5 kilograms using its largest bowl.
