  • In this video, we demonstrate how to Mix/Granulate, Extrude, and Spheronize with the Multi Lab Scientific.
    The MLS is an all-in-one benchtop unit that incorporates a mixer/granulator, extruder, and spheronizer.
    Turning powder into pellets with the MLS requires only a small batch size of 10-40 grams (product dependant). This often results in large cost savings during formulation development as material waste is kept to a minimum.
    Pellets and extrudate between the sizes 0.5 mm - 3mm can be created using different size extrusion dies, as well as manipulating the density of your extrudate using our higher density dies.
    The spheronization attachment can use a range of different disc patterns to create the optimum spheronization action for specific formulations.
    The time saving ability of the MLS offers research and development projects the best chance of success, and it's ease of use lends itself to the highest level of teaching efficiency in university environments.
    Data capture is also available on the MLS, including ambient temperature readings, product temperature readings, and motor load percentage. Data capture is not covered in this video.
