Hi Dominic, when I visited on this day, it was approximately 1 train per 30 minutes non-stop. Some folks have said it can get as busy as every 15 minutes. (Just remember freight traffic can vary greatly per day of the week)
Max Buskirk I have a couple connections with good friends that are in the RR throughout California. They are able to provide general consist information whenever possible.
sheldon chan Due to the scheduled time arrivals of the Amtrak Southwest Chief, I was not able to catch any. It usually arrives late at night or early in the morning before sunlight. Plus, the odds of it running late into daylight are rather surprisingly low.
You set the bar when it comes to professional quality content. How were you able to get the train symbols if you do not mind me asking? I can get Union Pacific train symbols easy but BNSF symbols usually require someone on the inside leaking out the lineup.
Zachary Moore Thank you ! I really appreciate the kind feedback ! Typically I have a couple connections since I work for an engineering firm. We do engineering work for railroad companies, plus I also have a couple good friends throughout California in the RR. However, if all else fails, I usually use inference to determine the train symbol; although it hasn’t been necessary in a long time due to the connections I have.
Ah okay. Well anyway I just want to give credit where credit is due. I am serious your railfanning videos are some of the most professional I have seen on RUclips. Keep up the amazing work. I look forward to viewing your future content.
aint much to do in Victorville except maybe get mugged watch out for riverside now some rent a cop security kicked andross and extreme padre fan out last week for filming claimed it was illegal to film and was gonna call the cops
David Schieler Somewhat true. There was certainly a lot of interesting characters walking by the station for sure, but also a lot of nearby street too; so it is definitely not the worst I’ve seen. As for Riverside or any other major train stations, I usually just contact the city for a film permit or a written letter of consent on behalf of the city. Showing that to any security officer guarantees trouble free railfanning.
Solid start to the video getting that meet perfectly shot! I consider it a great gamble you nailed! Great video as always!
ziggypwner Thank you ! I greatly appreciate the friendly feedback and continued viewership !
4479 was one of the units involved in the 2006 kismet train collision.
That meet was unexpected since its the same horn!
Nice video, I’ve been passed here many times but never stopped here.
SDRAIL Productions Thanks ! It’s pretty minimal of a station but it certainly has lots of train activity !

What is the last station on Metrolink's San Bernardino Line?
InlandEmpireRailfan It should be the Metrolink San Bernardino - Downtown Station to the east and Los Angeles Union Station to the west.

How do you get the letter/number sequences identifying the train, like "Q-LACATG1-09A"?
