I love Vickie Winans. The gospel industry needs to honor her more. I grew up on her music.
I say that allllll the time! I don’t understand why she isn’t being honored more like Tramaine, The Clarks, Shirley Caesar she’s up there with them. She’s almost 70 as well. Like it’s time we celebrate our legends while they are alive and well! She’s so underrated and undermentioned! I hope she gets more recognition in the coming years, she’s worked hard over the years!

That “meeting” she’s speaking of was back when she was touring with the Winans Family during her “The Lady” era. The whole family toured and it was a lot of tension. They were accusing her of upstaging “the others” while singing. First of all, Vickie has a unique timbre that simply stands out even if she is in the background. I know from experience sometimes people have a problem with your anointing. I’m glad she pushed through and kept elevating! She is the bomb!!!

I totally agree, Some people have big bumming voices, and in Choirs or Groups it is a distinct sound. She has a voice box that is as big as her smile and heart!!!!!!
@@rashadhaughton22 absolutely!!!! She has a voice that is just so distinct although it can blend with anything it still naturally stands out! When you’re born with that kind of gift there’s no need for it to be hidden!

Vicky Winans told the raw truth. Debbie Winans seemed to be protecting the Winans dynasty, but not Vicky. Vicky and Larry are kindred spirits because they take 2 days to tell a story🙂🙂🙂🙂. I loved the interview and the transparency of Vicky. Vicky is still grieving the death of her mom and the love of her life Bishop Ronald Brown.

She says to the church "if he'd treated me better I'd probably still be his wife" then laughs it off. I honestly think there's some truth to that. Great interview nonetheless.
