I used a current doubler only which doesn't do anything with the higher voltage...I was doing to just to test and it worked...but if you're concerned, then I wouldn't risk it
Amazing. Please make a video with HX stomp + Tonex with an alternative powersuply to play in the streets, like Harley Benton PowerPlant PowerBank+ mk2. Would be amazing. Thanks for all you videos.
I use a cs6 and one output for my hx stomp. I just use the connectors to convert the 9v to the power plug the hx stomp needs. I've never used a doubler.
I don’t get it. Can you elaborate? Power supplies can be an extra expense people often forget when building a pedalboard. I think this solves that problem pretty well. What am I missing?
Wait, is he using TWO multi fx boards running in series together? I thought it was an immutable law of physics that two multi fx units could NEVER exist together in the same universe at the same time. Mind blown ...we are through the Looking Glass, people
The underside, if it's got sharp edges - use steel wool along the edge maybe? It would remove some of the anti-rust coating, and degrade the look of the unit, but it would stop the cables from shorting out maybe? Just saying is all
Great 👍 did you use both 18v 500 ma outputs on the pedalboard to power the hx stomp?
I used the 12v which is not recommended just to test and it worked fine...but I can't vouch for how safe it is...just wanted to test it
Please clarify on how you connected the hx stomp. I’m concerned about running the unit at 12v…?

On the smaller pedalboard.. you said you reached the limit with the tonex? So it's not able to turn it on?
Yeah, it turned on and then started rebooting over and over if I remember right...so I stopped because I didn't want to hurt the TONEX pedal
@@HeyWorshipLeader thanks for the answer. Amazing video
I wish I had a friend called Ted who cobbled together an overdrive for me
He’s really great! I agree. Everyone should have a Ted!!
Did you use a current doubler for Hx Stomp on both 500ma? since hx is 9v would it hurt hx stomp to use 12v and 15v?

thanks for the ideas

Yes, that’s also an option with the Trutone and a great feature.
it is very clean looking and interesting! maybe someday lol i’ve had the same pedaltrain 3 for 15 years
Pedaltrain is great. I still have mine from 2010!
Awesome video as USUAL!!!
Will the mini board power the Hx stomp?
Did you ever got an answer for this?
no...not enough mA for the Hx Stomp
are you able to build a pedalboard with the pod go and other external effects for a video?
that's a good idea...thanks
Is this something you’d recommend given the larger board had a dud output?
and I don't have to plug mine in its battery powered or you can use a regular outlet as well
Did it get hot at all ? Looks awsome 👌
no!
Awesome video brother!
thank you!
This solves a problem no one has, provided they have a working brain between their ears.
I don’t get it. Can you elaborate? Power supplies can be an extra expense people often forget when building a pedalboard. I think this solves that problem pretty well. What am I missing?
Definitely going to continue using real power supplies. I’d be curious if this will even last a month tbh.
We’ll see
Jeeze I've had a self powered board since 4 years ago and still have it an Outlaw Nomad Pedal Board
If it ain’t an IEC cable, don’t want it. Hate wall warts.
I agree with that

Haha
I'm just looking 🙂

Cool idea. I can't handle that rat's nest though
I know man. I would def take advantage of some underneath cable management if this board ever left the house
What a mess hahaha 😂😂😂
