Probability and Statistics: Detecting Outliers using Studentized Residuals in Regression

If an observation has very large residual, it maybe an outlier. Theoretically, an potential outlier can be checked through statistics called studentized residual, or t student value associated to each observation. These values follow t distribution if the observations are not outliers. If the test is significant, we have to check it as outlier.
