I still haven't got that Magic Ring down. What a struggle, when I could just make a slip stitch! It's worked for 50 years, so i kinda think it will keep on...

Do you have this pattern available written out? I’m having issues with the 2 corners where we slip stitch. I’ve looked at different written patterns and tried following your video and I haven’t liked the written patterns but I’m having trouble following along with the video.

This may be a dumb question but I have a furls Odyssey hook and it is a size j and I like to use that hook only. Do you think it would be ok to use a size j / 6 hook?

Of course it will work. Match your yarn to your hook and no problem. Your fancy J hook will work fine with a 4 weight as well. This pattern would also work in bulky yarn with a larger hook like an N or you could use light yarn and a 3mm hook.

I'm going out to a 4th row and it seems to be losing its shape a little on the last row. Is there anything I can do so it doesn't round out?

I am learning how to crochet. I am using Bernat baby velvet yarn for a lovey. It starts out as a good hexagon but a couple of rows later it has added a side. I've read and reread, crocheted, pulled apart several times and it is just not working. I know I understand the pattern. Is this just not a good yarn to use? What am I doing wrong?

I'm here for the same reason 😭 Something about the double chain at the start of each new round? 🤯

Yes! I slammed it in the car door a couple of months ago so now the nail is lifting and it's rather ugly! Doesn't hurt though ;)

Yeah I have done that too but with acrylic nails on 3 nails and that is very painful ! I'm glad yours doesn't hurt. I bet it snags on yarn a lot? I love this video

I know I am a year late but I'm glad it's okay. I didn't notice until close to the end then I couldn't help but wander how you aren't getting the yarn accidentally stuck in the nail and ripping it off. Lord knows I would.
