Brotato is a top-down arena shooter roguelite where you play a potato wielding up to 6 weapons at a time to fight off hordes of aliens. Choose from a variety of traits and items to create unique builds and survive until help arrives.

A spaceship from Potato World crashes onto an alien planet. The sole survivor: Brotato, the only potato capable of handling 6 weapons at the same time. Waiting to be rescued by his mates, Brotato must survive in this hostile environment.

I think the greyed out damage stat on weapons is their base damage before factoring in your stats. For instance at 32:52 when that fist said 1 | 5 for damage, it means that the fist is a 5 damage weapon, but it would only do 1 damage with your current build because your damage stat was -100%.

That is indeed true. like if the weapon normally does 5 damage but you have like for example -1 melee damage (since its a melee weapon) it does 4 damage. so the white is 4 the grey is 5.
This is the best possible thing that could’ve happened today. I’ve never played a demo as much as this one and now I get to play it more. Best game in the genre already.

The elemental weapons were getting a flat damage buff. But likely the -95% damage is the last calculation, negating them.
I would love to see more of this. Take build suggestions from the comments and just full send it
Blunt set bonus:
+1 armor
-3% speed
Level 2
+1 armor
+1 max HP
-3% speed.
Masochist love armor.
Rock blunt And primitive.
Primitive:
+ 5 max HP.

The 1x3 | 5x3 You saw on weapons is the Base damage (On the right) and the modified damage on the left (Considering your damage% and flat damage stats).

the greyed out number is what it should be doing, the colored number is what it is actually doing based off your modifiers.

Yes, pls a mini-series😀! This game is so simple and good with so many different ways to play that it is totally worth a series in my opinion!
I'm going to try this just because Blobfish's Space Gladiators is a underrated gem. I see similarities like having dump stats and the ability to just super change up your run in the beginning.
I wish they could add setting for each weapon like: attack closest enemy, weakest enemy, strongest, healthiest etc
I think that defeats the purpose of being sort of mindless and only complicates things when the game is meant to give you simple and limited control of the character

The gray text on the item stat screen is the default damage value, before the % damage decrease

P. S. I said that because I was playing it to and I lost twice or round 10 and like 5 or more times earlier. I just passed round 10 and I thought I won... But noooooo round 11 new stuff, died round 12 :(
If you get hit, you lose all stacked material and exp.
So it's only not wasted if you manage to pick it up before getting hit
Try dodge build, dodge build in this game is so great!

the %damage upgrades are just...less hits you gtta take to be positive so...it seems like a good take tbh
it isn't that they are _useless_ but if I take 1 hit, it is better than the base damage upgrade, things like attack speed, armor, health make way more of a difference

Is there ever a moment when you run into the mob of enemies and go on the offensive? I don't have time to watch the entire video right now but I'm seeing more running than anything. Which is just fine... just something I noticed.
That is.... the game? You can't really "go on the offensive"

@@TrickyyRicky Observe VS. Usually many multiple times per run I can run my dude straight into thousands of dudes and eat them for lunch. I'm running towards and through them. Not all the time. Just many times. The question was meant to be posed if that kind of situation is possible in this game. Or is that only during the beginning stages? Either way, forget it.
