With the stick build, using the savage character, you can easily just pick all max HP and armor you see, because the sticks get enough damage scaling on their own anyways and the savage character gets 25% lifesteal from primitive weapons
I came here to say this. Was just running around with six sticks (3 epic), 10% bonus life steal outside the flat 25% from using the sticks, and 60% damage almost finished wave twelve, but walked into a group trying to blast my way and didn't make it.
@@gumbarius How is % based ever more reliable than a static timer? Mby more viable for a lot of builds yeah but not reliable, playing around life regen is a really safe and good strat
@@SABO_DB Well, in this game you will be hitting a LOT of enemies in the later stages, which is also the point of the game where you need healing in first place Most weapons pierce, like all melee weapons and almost all ranged weapons, hitting multiple enemies per attack and allowing you to heal well over the amound you'd heal by life regen, even with low numbers Yes, it is still "luck" based, but in this type of game, even the lowest chances will apply regularly with the amoung of enemies being present
With mighty Russet now fallen in combat mere seconds from victory, another must take their place. One foretold in the prophecies (yes that one) A potatoe so round, so balanced, so perfect in every way they could simply not be! A truly lawful spud that must maintain their stats as evenly as possible, except where such skills would overlap or cause them to turn green. Go forth Chippy!
How about a ram build? Focus on high knock back weapons like hands, and then lower your range as much as you can. Get high armor and dodge, so you have to charge into enemies to even hit them
WOW! A good run!? You know we can't have you with the luxury of good runs! So i propose the Masochistic Masochist run: - Play with the Masochist - You can't have more than one of each weapon (upgrading them is fine) - Must have a mix of Ranged and Melee - Can't pickup any Level Up perks that directly increases your damage (Except Crit Damage since it's not reliable and Attack Speed is fine) - Must buy any item that gives a bonus to your enemies It's not good, not sure if even possible, but it's funny
Saw this suggested in the last videos comments so did one myself, knew it was gonna be crazy but, boy. To throw my hat in the ring, I have found that the enemy increase on the loud character can be an advantage if you get ahead of the curve and that the piercing on the shotguns can be an effective way of doing so. Cheers!
One Build I have had a ton of fun with. Brawler: focusing on Range. Add some atk speed so the fists fly back to you faster. It is Hilarious punching people from half way across the screen. I had range up to around 150 to 180. I feel Range is one of the most efficient stats as many items trade evenly but you earn more range per level up.
If you want to do a build with the chainsaw blade, Crazy if a lot of fun. Getting even more range and seeing blades zip across the map is very entertaining. And there is a higher chance of getting chainsaw blade in the shop.
"Shankanator prime" crazy with range and attack speed mainly using daggers survivability of your choice. Backstory: He was once just a potato in a prison pantry, but after watching all his brothers and sisters peeled and turned into stew he could no longer hold in his rage. He decided it was time to pick up the knife used to slaughter his brethren and release his rage. After picking up the blade he went on a rampage shankifying the entire population of the prison that once held him captive, and paved a path of blood and starch across the country freeing his brother and sisters and murdering their oppressors all along the way.
The Rambo Character: Either Well-Rounded, Loud or Crazy (your choice) Weapons: 1 knife and 1 range weapon of your choice. You only have two hands (can use inventory to join weapons, but cant leave the shop with more) Upgrades: Bandana is mandatory, if you can get it.
I've found the "bounty hunter" build fun where you go with the ranger (20% crit) and try to stack the item that grants you +1 material on killing with a crit. i've had just two of them and a very high crit chance and had almost 3k materials in just round 12. it's really op because you can buy so much, and I guess it's fun to see the number go up.
So far the most fun builds in my opinion. I would love to see a build with just spears or cactus. The torch, especially after the update(at the final waves) seems to me to be very weak compared to other items. The masochistic character you introduced in another video has a very interesting mechanic, by far my 2 favorite characters so far. Thanks for bringing videos and supporting the indie developer community! :D
1 weapon only, spear. You are Drohoust an Olympic athlete who saw injustice in the world, you decide to use your javelin to seek retribution. You focus on range damage and attack speed. Can hit from across the map and you instantly kill when you hit.
The Masiochist works well for a stick build since they struggle later due to the lower attack speed, and the tankiness of masiochist makes up for that. Could be fun for the eventual stick episode.
I just destroyed in an elemental mutant build. Get shivs and torches, and one tier 3 wand, go for attack speed, projectile penetration, and elemental damage and you can clear out peons. Bulk in dodge and speed to outmaneuver the dashers. I wasn’t able to pick up the ricochet though, which would have made it a stand still match on wave 12.
I just won a cool one based on this video. Spear is good AoE range damage, so I went with Loud (30% damage, 50% MORE ENEMIES). So fun and chaotic, but you get more exp and money! Went luck at the start like you did. Spears are primitive, so rocks, sticks, or even torches are decent until you can replace them. Ended with 4 purple spears, 76% attack speed, +23 melee damage, 53% damage. By the end wave, most of the map was covered in enemies, but they die in a round of hits. Even big guys.
A surprisingly fun build I found today, Lightning Shiv Crazy. I didn't think it would work, and it ended up being fairly fragile, but with enough attack speed and elemental damage it was raining lightning all over the place. I also ended up with the item that allows projectiles to pierce...I have no idea if that worked with the lightning or not though, it was too chaotic to tell.
You can manually combine weapons. Click or Right-click the weapon you have equipped and, if you have a second one of the same type and quality, you'll see a "Combine" option.
build:akimbo only 2 pistols, max attack speed min range everything else is whatever you like bonus points if after lets say 12-14 round you dont move or move only to dodge bullets
retro i think your biggest issue is going into round 12 with common weapons still. if you focused more on upgrading your weapons (upgraded weapons do more damage than 2 un upgraded) not only does the damage make the lack of early game set bonuses negligible, but you will have a stronger foundation late game as well
Just had an interesting win with primitive guy and a bunch of sticks. Focused on armor, hp, and regen. Took melee damage where I could, was pretty negative on speed.
Set it to stun! Electric damage based build with a high focus on the taser, if you wanted to make it more true to the theme name, then take damage downs and to counteract that go for bounce or pierce, with a high armor and dodge rating. Might be hard to make this kind of run though considering it's rng dependent
Really goes to show how Luck and Harvesting are two of the greatest stats in this game. Also, that Heart IV was the most shocking thing I've ever seen. I wonder if there are any red items?
I wonder if the dev adds meta progress between runs. It could use the money we make at the end of round 12 (or whenever we die). This way there will always be an interest in coming out with as a large amount of money, so picking up currency is still a thing in the last round.
It feels like you undervalue range as a stat a bit on melee builds. Range makes the melee attacks go farther out which gives them a larger aoe, which significantly ups your damage. If you get enough range, all of your melee weapons would have the reach of the spear. On that note, makes me want to see how extreme you can take that. Maybe crazy and grabbing all the range you can to see how far out you can get him to throw the knives.
What about a perfectionist, basically you aren't aloud to let any stat go red/negative. I'm not sure if it would be possible or if there already is a character for that.
Here's an idea, 3 melee weapons of choice, 3 ranged of choice. Focus on damage % cause theoretically that should affect both. Cacti club counts for whichever one you want it to but not for both, gotta choose. Whatever character you think would work best.
R U A Wizard? Go wizard, heavy focus on attack rate with shotguns. Shotguns have 2 pierce by default, so you can flak entire groups and apply the elemental damage the wizard has innately as the damage engine. If you get the sausage that gives you another 25% to burn it can get pretty nutty.
How about...stormblade crazy! Only knives and attack speed on the crazy character so there's a thousand knives flying around! You may pick luck for higher attack speed gains!
I want to see a run where you can only use one weapon slot. What that would look like I don't know, but it'll probably end up being as much bounce as possible.
I just watched this video and went in and man I have to say this is my first won run and I truly feel mutant+luck is busted. Also you might wanna try out lightning shivs with wizard dude with only attack speed plus elemental damage.
Do it again...but with Loud Mouth and you must take any upgrade which increases enemy spawn rates (there are a couple i have seen). Other than that, love the videos.
Build Idea: You only have to survive right? Is it theoretically possible to make a 6 palm build based around survivability, range, and attack speed where your goal is to just push all the enemies away so much that you can't get hit? For money gain you could invest in harvesting/xp gain and go for trees. Guess it could be called the pacifist build lol
There's actually a character specifically for that build, the pacifist. -100% damage but you get resources and XP for every enemy left alive. It was very entertaining to try and completely changed how you approach your items and what's good vs. Bad
Have you tried doubling up any of the classes with the mod that allows you to use 2 classes? Realized yesterday you could take 2 of the same class to double their powers and negatives. Couple interesting ones are 2Xold super tiny map ×2 entrepreneur -100% damage mods X2 speedy

@@robincraig3888 Yes, but it is still a way more reliable source to heal than life regen, which only procs once every five seconds~

Vampire build, melee only focusing on defence life steal and hp. Become unkillable vampire lord, aim for standstill build but with the hands
Percussive maintenance-
Bonk with lifestealing rocks to patch up your heath bar

Increasing range makes the melee weapons hit further out (more enemies), so it's still very useful

cool vid i really wanted to see a build like this
Fun videos, you made me want to try this game and it's a blast. You should try Loud with cacti bat(s), pumping +ranged damage and +range.
Do a neolithic run! Only primitive weapons such as stiiickk~
Choose the character that looks the most stone age
My suggestion is a one-armed knifer. I've been trying it for a few runs. It's pretty fun.
Playing the one armed either using the spear or cactus club and seeing how range works
A Ranged build focused on Accuracy. dump stat could be dodge and melee.
The dumb stick run would be amazing to see
Imo the 1 cost roll in the first round is always a grab, you can see 3 more items in the early and almost never will that 1 material matter
Also hard tank build- heavy weapons insane armor hp and regen
I would like to see a tank build on masochist were you go for armor ,health, Regen and life steal...your mellee weapon of choice
Always more luck forever.
a masochist run focused on life steal would be a cool video
Crit built but you can't use duplicate weapons could be interesting. Melee or ranged.
Go knives out. Offense: focus melee damage and crit. Defense: focus speed and dodge. only use bladed weapons.
Also a paciFIST build could be cool, just take only palms and fists and focus primarily on defense
Really want to see a good spear build now!
I would love to see you do a pure rock build.
I have since discovered that the one-armed potato exists. Never mind I guess; they stole my idea with a time machine.
Tank all defense health and possibly chose Mascoist
One armed with the cactus weapon with bullet bounce and ranged damage and attack sleep range focus
I just watched this video and went in and man I have to say this is my first won run and I truly feel mutant+luck is busted. Also you might wanna try out lightning shivs with wizard dude with only attack speed plus elemental damage.
Run suggestion: (Un)Healthy Lifestyle.
Premise: abandon EVERYTHING for the sake of HP and HP regen, in that order. Just to see how high the HP can go.
Do it again...but with Loud Mouth and you must take any upgrade which increases enemy spawn rates (there are a couple i have seen). Other than that, love the videos.
Mage with smg (or minigun is fun)!

Banker? Investment-harvesting piggy bank and bean teacher and all the pick up money do x items
Crazy with only lightning daggers. Will either be amazing, or absolutely terrible and i wanna watch to find out xD
I bought this and space gladiators after seeing your vids. Dude we should do a collab video on some of these crappy fun games :P
You should do a tank build and get things like HP and damage
How bout the chunky melee? basically primitive with loads of hp and slower than my reaction time in Enter The Gungeon.
