For Jamie K. We were friends for a long time, worked together for years, reconnected later and life and spent one night together. Fast forward to our 30s, we reconnected again and ended up becoming partners. I would always listen to this song because I would have to see you only on the weekends because you lived in Jersey and I lived in Philly. When can we talk, with the face, instead of using all these strange devices? I miss you. I wish I could go back and just tell you we should just be friends. I miss that more than anything. Take care of yourself.

Amazing, just amazing. Lots of this album take me back to a very, very special time in my life. Painful but I wouldn't trade it.

+derek Mckenzie If you liked this, I suggest Fleet Foxes (as I'm kinda pretty somewhat sure that he was actually a drummer for the group when they were together), Sufjan Stevens for a varied sort of tone and composing, Iron and Wine for more solemn stuff, and if you want to go old school, you may like when Bob Dylan turned electric (Highway 67 Revisited).

This album is amazing! It was awesome to hear the complete album on line first, before purchasing. I have a hard copy on the way! Seriously, I can't stop listening to it. What a great songwriter. Beautiful!

I got this when it came out and I wasn't really feeling it, but I tried it again a few weeks ago and this shit hit me like a brick. Probably the best singer/songwriter album I've heard in years. Second favorite album of the year behind Kendrick's

+Jeff Penn TPAB is amazing. I agree that this album is another front runner for my AOTY. I would also include Foals' new album "What Went Down", The Dear Hunter's new album "Act IV: Reprise and Rebirth", and Sufjan Stevens' "Carrie and Lowell" on that list. Amazing year for music.

wow! this is the coolest album in years that I've heard! I'm practically speechless..... So good! Wow just wow! I learned to know this artist through the late night show with Stephen Colbert and when I heard his song I was stunned. He looks like Alan Parson, sings the same in one way or the other. THIS MAN IS A GENIUS! So good! That is real music! not that stupid crap in the top 50 or so. Warren Zevon would be proud of him!
