I personally played a lot of Fox 3 tests like 2 whole days, and in every 10 matches i died 1 to 2 to fox 3 and the rest was for cannons and 9Ms/R73s, i play high altitude every match, justs going down as i waste my countermeasures, just had to notch and spam some chaffs, and when you have no countermeasures go low, i think they are a bit underperforming, but its not near the overkill that people said it was gonna be, if you have DCS experience it gona be easier, if not, just a bit of patience and reading, maybe some videos of how those missiles work, in general i think its gonna be a fun meta, they are much easier to deal with also fun than the almost unavoidable irccm fox 2s, but the thing that universally everyone agrees is that with those missiles we gona need a 8v8 or 6v6 games to be more fun

Except they are not overpowered, they are actually underperforming

Ofc u can survive in high altitude u can notch the fox 3 very easily and they love chaff idk whats the problem i like them

You most likely not notching them they just ran out of energy The launch range of the missiles are very misleading

If they reduce the player count to like 8v8 6v6 or maximum 10v10 maybe on ec maps, i think it wont be a problem

I don't really think the maps that is the problem even on EC maps people will just try to find each other as quickly as possible and if you get singled out you are dead so sticking together would be key.

I do not understand the people who have been clamoring for ARH missiles for as long as they have. Like, the top tier meta has already devolved into "if you leave the deck, you fucking die" for the past like year, year and a half. Why would you want the game to become LESS FUN than it already is? The 16v16 meta with the same objectives and furballs happening every single game is just awful; I cannot fathom why anyone would want a worse version of what we have. Us WT oldheads mostly agree that jet gameplay has fundamentally changed since missiles were introduced, but in a very bad and stale way.

The first missiles were alright, the aim 9B and such, but the later ones really did start to ruin it.

Well the more modern fox-3’s about to be added shouldn’t be nearly as affected by multi-pathing as they currently are, once again Gaijin is modeling a mechanic wrong.

The gameplay loop is truly awful when you consider how the grind works. If there are no stakes it’s more enjoyable. But of course, people would have less incentive to play it day after day. By the time I’ve grinded the modifications I need, I’ve played the plane about as long as I’d want. Very exhausting to get like 200 kills to get to a competitive performance level. With props, you can upgrade them after like 20-50 kills and then you can focus your efforts on mastering them for say another 50. With high tier jets it’s just grind grind grind
