For my tenth birthday, my Uncle who played in the 48th Highlanders marched down our street in Scarborough and into our backyard around the pool!!!! A life changing experience I will always cherish. RIP Robert "Bobby" Freeman. And to boot, I lived across from the Police College, and used to fall asleep to the sounds of the Band practicing!
Brimley and Finch!!! I used to hear them all the way down to Huntingwood and still fondly remember it to this day. My Great-Grandfather served in the Toronto Scottish Regiment - Carry On.
Yup, the Americans won the battle and lost the war. And the "land of the free" was fighting on the side of tyranny and aggression. Yet they're still proud of it and have continued to delude themselves for over 200 years. Pathetic.
