Come to Palm Springs and climb the tram- it was the final climb in the Amgen Tour of California. You can RUclips the videos of it. Bonus points if you do it when it’s over 110° like they did ッ
Fun, good job, great spirit and insipration. Thx for sharing, I want to try it now too. I recommend also trying Mt. Gibraltar, Santa Barbara, Glendora Mountain Road + Mt. Baldy switchbacks from Glendora, CA and to the radio towers of Mt. Wilson, Pasadena, CA. I still want to ride Palomar Mntn Road near San Diego and Mount Hamilton by San Jose. Of course, I also want to ride all the famous climbs of the TdF, Giro and Vuelta. Ride safe and tri hard 👏💪👍
I've ridden up it a few times...great uphill climb. Used to turn around at the ski lodge and back down. Loved the return trip even more. Goes from cold up near the top to warm at the base or high desert end.
I ride on Rouvy. It’s the same. Sometimes I wonder how it’s possible to gain 4000 feet in ten miles. Then I also wonder why it’s taking me two hours to ride 10 miles. It’s very humbling.
@@imterribee The wind was not too bad. What I learned doing Lemmon is. If the wind is really blowing hard at the bottom don't go up. Because coming down is not safe. The one time I did do it, I came around one of corners around mile 3 and did a track stand. Coming down, got blown allover the road. One guy got pushed into the guardrail. I don't train on deep wheels.
I hate to break it to you, but that restaurant at the "top" is not the top. The road continues for another 1.4 miles, until it truly hits the apex at 9,000 feet. That 1.4 miles will be the most difficult short distance your body will have ever experienced in its lifetime. It's mostly 12% grade, mixed with 8%, and the thin atmosphere will have you gasping for air after 3 minutes of riding. I had to stop many times, covering just 1/10 of a mile at a time, resting a few minutes, and then doing another 1/10. The thin air is the culprit here, along with the steep climb. But when you conquer this last segment of road, you will feel that you've done the impossible. You are now baptized by Mt. Lemmon. You are no longer "you". You have become something better than you.!
Summerhaven is not the top, neither is the ski lodge where the iron door restaurant is, the hardest part is after that, approximately another 1.8 miles to the top, but a good try for the first time
What are some of your favorite climbs around the world? I need to add more to my bucket list.

Highway 39 to Crystal Lake and then beyond to Angeles Crest or GMR to Baldy Ski Lifts. On dirt Harding Truck Trail to Santiago Peak.

Appreciate your honesty! Stay awesome! 🌞
Congratulations, Mt Lemmon is a very tough climb. I grew up in Tucson, and loved seeing your videos of the desert. Thankyou!
Thanks! It was a fun climb! I will definitely be back for some more!!
Start at mile marker zero, and if you’re gonna go all the way up to the observatory about 28 1/2 miles
Way to go Terri! I'd love to do this climb at some point. Maybe next winter.
You better stop by Vegas on your way through if you do!
Love Mt Lemon.. it’s tough but a lot of fun! & beautiful. If you did not go to the very top you missed the great shop & their pie :)
sounds just like me, I always don't bother to plan well on these types of things. good job though!
Now you're ready for Mount Wilson CA 🙂
Hi Imterribee, nice place to Climb!
Mont Ventoux and Alpe d,Huez are my favourites (or hardest ) so far.
Fun video. Only you would attack mount lemon on a whim!
Hahaha I think there might be more out there but they would probably at least look at and dissect some of the segments before going. 🤷🏼♀️🤣
April hmmmm... I’m in!!
Sweet! 😁
@@imterribee this would keep me motivated for training through Iowa winters. Would love to assist you in this goal!!
do a few pacing test on mt. Charleston
I definitely need to get back to doing that again. It’s been a while. Now, I have to wait for the snow to start going away a bit.
Your video reminded me of my Ven-Top climb attempt on Zwift..... After two hours.... uggh how long does this take... LOL

Try the 6 gap ride in northern Georgia
Ooooh! Yes, I will have to. I heard there is a lot of good riding in Georgia. I will definitely go ride there some day.

Ok! You talked me into it. Next time for sure!
Use 11-30T or 11-32T Cassette .🙂🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️
On Mt Lemmon, that would have probably been much nicer than the 11-28.
Haleakala
Mt Evans
Do you wear sunscreen out there?
Always!
@@imterribee Which one?
You should only film while climbing and add narration in post.
Next time for sure!
