Aggressive Travellers Don’t Like Me Videoing Their Site

- Today was a little different to what normally happens, I thought that the site I was looking at was just a contractors depot, but it turns out that the yard was also full of travellers.
They were not happy with me videoing them and the yard that they occupied and made one or two threats against me, but I didn't care, I just kept on videoing.

Those trucks being loaded at the beginning is road chip for chip seal, the big tank truck you could smell sprays the road then they reverse over with the chip and spread it

I never fail to be surprised by how ignorant some people are.
While I do respect people who value privacy, when accusations start flying over legal conduct it usually smacks of a guilty mind to me.

This company travel all over England maintaining our roads that we must all agree are in a very sorry state. They have millions of pounds worth of equipment and have to set up base somewhere close to the job. They will be paying a rent and will have to be legitimate to satisfy their client. Please let them get on and get to the next job and make our roads safer.

Unnecessarily rude. I came to this channel after enjoying a lot of DJ Audit content. I have been left disappointed with this one, and the sheer wealth of prejudiced comments on this video against travellers. I wonder if I will face such hatred when I move into a mobile home. I hope not.

@@garyroe2929 Correct. They are a very well respected company. They work away from home for 6-7 weeks at a time, The 3 welfare trucks they have on site are , 1 Toilets. 2 Showers 3 Fully fitted kitchen.

I saw your video with dj audits and thought you were different but you are more of the same, what are you apologizing for, and why do you park so close. This is not an audit, I have no idea what this drone faf is and why people call themselves auditors in the uk when they do it. This is not auditing, check American auditors or AB to see what auditing is. You don't start apologizing or going on the defensive when a plod starts attacking you.

Don't look like a travellers site to me. I would imagine if you'd started filming proper travellers wives and children trailers you'd find your gear in a few bits and pieces and your car flat. Just Workers genuinely concerned for their Equipment - I know you don’t have to but you could easily have asked if it was ok to Film before getting your camera out - the 1st chap that you spoke to was friendly and helpful - you kept repeating that you were going to fly the Drone over the site ( to get a Reaction ) and that’s when he went and told the Tipper driver what was going on.
He seemed okay to me. His asked you politely to leave but you did your usual tactic of stalling for time by asking questions, and then mentioning the drone as soon as you realised he didn't want to chit chat.
Why should I leave a public place
When he asked you to leave you were on the site, not a public place.
@nevetsM5CS you're right, unless there are signs up clearly stating its private property, the usual wording trespassers will be prosecuted, etc!
And, yup, it's a civil matter.
However, my reply wasn't whether it's OK to be on site or not. It was to point out he wasn't in a public place, as in, not private property, when he was asked to leave. He was on site.
As to whether its OK to be on site? Hmmmm, to brazenly walk onto a private working site with hazards (or not) pointing a camera around personally I don't think is OK, it's not surprising he gets a reaction pretty much everywhere he goes. Which of course is what he wants, under the guise of being 'interested' in whats going on at site, jovially pointing out he can kind of do wtf he wants so people like us comment on RUclips!!
@@ghvtg He told the first bloke there was someone wandering around the site in flip flops and no hi viz; PJ wasn't wearing hi viz either. He just wandered on to the site where there were vehicles and plant equipment in operation. One day he'll get a kicking.

I believe they are not travellers in the scum bag pikey sense. I'm told they Hazell & Jeffries full time work force who move from job to job. They may be a bit rough but they are all legitimate and all vehicles are legal.
