I still remember this meeting with the rain and soaking wet track, but there was some great racing especially that Heat 20, with Ole and Peter exchanging the lead. Being a Coventry Bees fan I was very pleased with the result. I was excepting Steve Bastable to win that race as he had been great all night and was on the outside gate, no one had won a heat from gate one all night, but Ole showed what a great rider he was. Also, it is a shame that, that track closed down as you always got great racing there.
