I always get a bittersweet feeling when I watch it. I used to watch it with my brother back when it came out, and now our relationship as brothers has shifted drastically and we don’t get along anymore, but it’s still nice to reminisce while I watch it.
These animators did justice to the oldest friendship in all of Ooo. I think this was the biggest turning point of the whole show. Everything prior was great but it never tried to capture this much emotional weight. I think it was also the first time they blatantly showed what the apocalypse looked like.
2:31 This part always seemed incredible, dramatic and even sad to me... When I saw it for the first time (and I still do) it gave me CHILLS. In general terms, the post-apocalyptic past and the future in "ruins" gives me chills on the interesting, curious and mysterious side, to be honest.
Wow this is so incredible. I am so in love with how every artist really went so hard in their own styles and made each shot their own, and therefore transforming the entire project into something brilliant and new (there was even multiple stop motion animators??? How did you find so many! They’re tragically a dying breed, I think). Truly beautiful work to everyone involved- this is one of the better remanimated projects I’ve seen come out of any fandom period.
I really do love this!! Especially how every art style stands out from the other yet still stays true to the original. Especially at 0:08 I love how deedledraws incorporates a 3 dimensional puppet and mixes it with a 2 dimensional-esque background!! But of course all the artists did a fantastic job! I hope they all had fun with this project. And I hope to see their work again!!
This has to be one of the best songs and moments in Adventure Time, it's just so beautiful and sad when you understand this once you grow up, it's nice to see that there are people who also likes this song and have done this collaboration, I love it! Congratulations to all! :]

oh my god this is stunning, ive seen a lot of reanimated things over the years but this is incredible, no animatics, no rough scenes, fully coloured incredible sequences, everyone involved should be very proud of themselves this is wonderful
this remains to this day my favorite episode of the entire series, adventure time can be very immature and goofy at times (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). but once in a while it would have moments like these, that handled with more emotionally heavy concepts. This scene really shows what these two characters are to each other, it shows how far they have drifted from each other, it gives us a glimpse beneath the crown and how much the man wearing it has lost to it. It shows that somehow even through the madness of the crown simon is still there and draws the ice king to marceline even if he doesn't quite understand it. This episode communicates so much to us with so little
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I can see the effort of every artists/animators behind this, and that is something of admiration and respect, I literally replayed this video about 10 times and counting to see every single detail of each animator, I love this
Somehow made the saddest scene I can remember like twice as sad and I am in LOVE with it! Huge thank you to every animator who put hard work into this video, every frame is beautiful and charged.

So bittersweet. When Ice King says “crown”. You almost see a moment of realization. But a second later, he immediately goes back to his big smile and joyful drumming. As if for a moment, Simon was clawing his way out, until he suddenly submerged back into his mind. Simon was the father figure Marceline needed. Avadeer was the one she got.
It's been nearly a decade since the original episode aired, and this scene still gives me the feels. Kudos to everyone that took part in this project, you did wonderful!
Wow nice to see people remember this scene. In my opinion it's one of the best moments in Adventure Time. At the time we didn't know who Ice King was, so this song hit really hard. Makes me miss the old days back when this show was new. When we first saw Ice King, he was nothing more than a joke character pretty much. Actually, the whole first 2 seasons were more laid back. Then the writers decide to put more depth in with this one episode, and it literally changed the course of the whole show's story. Not many shows out there can keep you entertained and interested with the story at the same time as Adventure Time did.
These are all really good! This song did and still does give me chills because of the storytelling behind it. I genuinely enjoy how stylized all of these parts are.
This is not getting nearly as much love as it should. I am now sharing this to all my friends!!!! Everyone did such amazing work!!! It was breathtaking
