Ling Yunche never stepped over the line with Ruyi. He was devoted to her to the end. He lived a life of sorrow and she lived trying to give him friendship and care. Xiangjian is so direct and unafraid of any consequences. Emperor is a childish brat. Ling Fei deserves her ending.

they are truly stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one side is the Emperor and his endless suspicions, and on the other side is Ling Fei, her jealousy and hypocrisy. Both of them used the lowest of lowly attacks against Ruyi and the guard, but they refused to retaliate in a way that would taint their integrity.
I see Linh Yunche and Ruyi as the last pieces of purity and goodness in the hearts of Ling Fei and the Emperor. This story arc really highlights how both of the villains are trying to purge themselves of this kindness in their old self. Is it in pursuit of more power?
By the end of the series though only Ling Fei can truly admit to her evils. I suppose she’s forced to admit it. But there is no higher power to do that to the Emperor, so he gets away from it all with a free conscience. He is free to mourn for Ruyi as though he shouldn’t be the guiltiest of them all.
Especially since the emperors back in the day are taught they could hardly do any wrong😕
后期香见部分的渣龙真的很气！！真的很没良心，如懿第一次出冷宫那时真的感觉的到皇上的爱，但后面真的跟如懿一起心冷了！

Believe it or not, Ling is broken up about what happened to Yunche. Though she used him like everyone else in her life, it’s HIS love token she keeps far after he’s dead. Plus, in this scene at least, her ire is aimed at Empress for putting him in that situation.

While his first wife the late empress gave a bracelet with seeds caused of infertility of ruyi and one of his concubine but he said nothing and didn't slapped the late empress. It means ruyi not really important to him. Compared to his anger when he knew ruyi was the one who caused of infertility of consort rong. He slapped ruyi and didn't visit ruyi for almost a year. I don't understand why I keep commenting maybe becaused of so much hatred of what was happened to empress. She died when no one knows and alone byherself. Compared the two mistresses consort rong and consort ling he always treated them so nice. But for ruyi he's like an animal. very cruel. What's the point of showing this kind of story
