Great review and thoughts, I pretty much agree entirely. I think for what Neo is setting out to do, it knows its place in the market. The anodized baby blue is really gorgeous though, I really love the colour and case feel. ☺
this video is sick bro insane price
Really appreciate the honesty on the final price that you have to pay to have the board in your hands
hey fellow oh wonder fan, love the album art showcase
thank you! I only have a few shown here but it's a slow and steady acquisition progress :)
This was almost an insta buy for me. There are so few iso tkl's and especially hotswap versions. Got me a champagne one with a stone washed silver weight. Pretty excited for it
i dig the simple aesthetic. awesome polyphia hoodie too heh
hehe thank you :3
2:43 - I always struggled sometimes to determine what's "lacking" from the entry level kits versus something like an F1 or a Kage TKL, and you just described it perfectly.
Decent sound profile, Clacky, but flat and dull. Somehow they do lack the brighter or lively sound that higher ends possibly can recreate. Neo80 is a great choice for the price nonetheless!
TofuTypes, I need to know what glasses you are rocking, they look good!
no lie they're from costco xD
@@TofuTypesmissed opportunity to state you bought them from a special members only club!!
Im guess this alao supports VIA/QMK with a trimode PCB? That's one of the biggest selling points for me personally with the Neo boards. I love the Neo65 single piece, with VIA, and trimode connectivity. Honestly my favorite board.
Would you think you could get this sounding like 2 billiard balls knocking together? Whichsetup is closest to that?
color grade bro so fye
thank you bb
ooo mashallah
This or rainy75?
can we pleeeease get a desk tour! I love the setup
i do have a plan to make one eventually :)
2nd this one. ROOM TOUR@@TofuTypes
You can tighten the ball latch system with screws iirc
Yeah, just thinking from the standpoint of someone who doesn’t want to whip out tools 🤷♂️ would have been nicer to have them be a bit more snug to begin with
What display stands are you using? I like those a lot.
they're from feng studios!
@@TofuTypes Thanks!
No strangling after the sound test? Who are you and what did you do to Tofu?
It’s cuz I almost smacked myself by grabbing the top case LOL
How does the sound on this board compare to the TKD Cycle7? I missed out on the cycle7 and this seems to be the perfect alternative to that with the same ball catch system which I really want.
I would suggest u to check out TKD's own 80% board the Cycle8!
not much information out on it sadly. All in chinese.@@pjguzmann
There is no worldwide release date on the Cycle 8 at all? Unless I missed news. @@pjguzmann
To be honest, no one would treat their keyboard like this in real life. The drop test is more about letting others know that they can find the appropriate strength by loosening and tightening the screws.
you can actually tighten the ball latch using a screw
Yeah you can, just from the perspective of someone who’s coming and wanting something to go without taking a tool, just would have been nicer if it was a big snug
Can you control or turn off the rgb light?
Yup! Both you can do
👀👍!
i think this would be great as a gift, but the ball latch system is still kinda sketch, since we don't really know how well it would stand up against the test of time in comparison to just plain old screws
No f13 :(
Aint no way you didn't grab the keyboard at 99% the speed of light
😭😭😭
this is babyblue color right boss?
yup!
yo new mic?
I’ve had this one! Just got a new cable that wasn’t fucked up LOL
no violent grab? :(
Not this time :c I pulled the top case off and it almost hit me so I was like… mmm not this one xD
I’m down with the simple aesthetic, bummer about the seemingly mediocre ball latch system! Still for the price, it’s hard to complain too much. What’s the recipe for your shoko frankenswitches?
op black milky top, moyu poseidon stem, leaf swapped chosfox voyager bottom
whewww, leafswapping is some real next level frankenswitching! thanks for the reply!
$38 US shipping so realistically starts at ~$180
Good value still, but with just OK sound it’s a tougher sell vs upcoming Cycle 8 or recent Luminkey80, KBD 8X, etc
And no F13 😢
Great review as always!
Cycle 8 sounds somewhat mid also from the ones I’ve seen so far
The timeline is incorrect
That’s what qk and Neo told me so 🤷♂️
No fast grab🤬🤬🤬
The top flew off the first time I did it and it sounded pingy and high pitched xD
