I did mine a few weeks ago. The drill when in on a slight angle so effectively the ball stud is 25mm from the oe ball stud. Total throw of the shifter is about 70mm front to back.
If/when you get the car mapped it will be mapped for 99ron so try and have a 2/3 full tanks of V Power or Momentum before mapping. And then continue to use these fuels to get the very best out of the car👍
Car will be tuned to what fuel is in the tank so if he only plans running 95 & has it mapped on that it will be perfectly fine. Obviously wont see as much power as you'l be knock limited earlier on the 95 than 99
My skin crawls everytime you use the door handle, they are extremely prone to snapping. Try and use the door pocket and save yourself a headache. Enjoying the videos, btw.
Hi guys, do these cars get nicked much in the UK? I had my m140i stolen and want another hot hatch and the rs megane is ticking alot of the boxes for me.
@@JustbeingHayden Yeah the LSD is what makes this car special by all accounts. I know i shouldnt really be asking about MPG as its a hot hatch, but what are you getting on average? My type r was on 25mpg, my focus st 2.5 was on 20mpg, the m140i 3.0 was on 25mpg!
shaun welch yes mate I do, more mods incoming too although having a slight issue with fuel rail pressure sensor throwing up a code so that’s putting a spanner in the works a bit! How’s your ST going?
Yer still going well just having problems with boost. Boost up to 1/4 then boosts to half after a few seconds.... it's not been remapped tho... want to sort it out before I go down that road
shaun welch boost solenoid would be my 1st port of call, any fault codes? Also may have a boost leak so a smoke test may be needed. Is your car totally standard?

Those ECU clips are lovely as easy to just press in and there's a little latch to push in and then yank the lever when you're pulling it off
