We need to push the FDA to approve better sunscreens. There is NO reason for the FDA to be dragging their feet in this for SO many years. We fund the FDA. Can't they do their job?
Other, more powerful people also fund the FDA 😉😁
I believe a big part of the reason is lobbying, if the FDA woke up and approved a bunch of other filters the European sunscreens would take over the market and that is not something american brands that have no experience with the new filters would want.

When you said the Norwegian hand cream was being discontinued on your vlog my heart dropped because I used that product for years as well. But so happy the unscented version is sticking around! Phew! Such a great product! ❤

Companies are discontinuing their less expensive winners for much more expensive versions (new formula). I have been using the Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle cream for years with great results. Thank you Dr. Dray for giving us the heads up and explaining the alternatives❣️
Capitalism always needs more profit. Once you've destroyed the competition, you are your own competition!
Capitalism is why we have a zillion choices, at different price points, in the first place.

The Norwegian hand cream has been the rescue hand moisturizer in our family! My dad was a truck driver and in the winter his hands would dry out so badly they would crack, bleed and his nails would split. Once he found this, he used it religiously and it helped SO much. I am glad they are keeping the unscented (that's my preferred one anyway), but you made me nervous! LOL
I'm dumping Neutrogena because they have discontinued 3 of the 4 products I used. They were good products too, especially the oil-free moisture for sensitive skin.
Neutrogena transparent facial bar soap I cannot live without. I’ve been using it since I was 15. I’m 61 now with very good skin.

I love the Rapid Wrinkle Repair and the Hydro Boost Cleansing Lotion! I always loved the Norwegian Formula Lip Moisturizer, too. It did a really good job of softening my lips. I stopped using it several years ago when it became difficult to find. I now use and love the MDSolarSciences Tinted Lip Balms with SPF 30.
So glad to hear the Norwegian hand cream will still be around. It is the best hand cream I have ever used. My favorite product was the Pore Refining Cleanser. And because of the smell. It reminded me of great times in my life. Oh well, wasn't the best cleanser anyway.
When I had terrible eczema, the Norwegian hand cream was a life saver. Not the scented. It actually made things worse but that unscented was magic! I'd put that on with white cotton gloves and it really helped. Have a great Tuesday! ~ Lori in Maryland

Thank goodness it's only the fragranced version of the Norwegian hand cream...my heart sank when I saw it on the list! I tried so many different types of hand cream and the Norwegian one is my holy grail. I personally love their Hydroboost line and am always a fan of their frangrance-free products.
My favorite is the rapid wrinkles repair. I started using it this year after I saw one of your videos. Hope they don’t discontinue it!

I've used T-Gel shampoo occasionally over the years because it does work really well. It does smell exactly like you just walked into a tire store whenever you use it and It's a smell that doesn't wash away, but it's not meant to use often so I've come to equate it with a non-itching scalp so, to me, the smell just means it's working.
Thanks to you I am using the Rodi tinted sunscreen and I love it, it is the best I’ve ever used, coverage is amazing. Also, I’ve been using the Neutogena hydro boost lip gloss and love that too. A big thank you because you’ve changed my life in regards to skincare. ❤️ I will not leave the house without sunscreen on and/or sun protection of a hat, clothing etc. Right now I love EltaMd. And I am constantly reminding my family about sun protection as we live in Florida. Thank you for all the knowledge you share in your videos. 🥰
I used to use the Norwegian Hand Cream years ago, and had totally forgotten about it. It was really good. I’ve been using their Rapid Wrinkle Repair for a while, with no irritation, and like their Hydro-Boost unscented body lotion. Love your pink cardigan ! Hope you have it listed in the descriptions. Absolutely love their Makeup Remover Melting Balm. Does a great job as a first step in a double cleanse routine; not to mention, it is also fragrance free! Bummed to hear they're discontinuing their anti-residue shampoo, such a good product.
I just want to say the lip shine looks very nice on you! Pink is definitely a good color for you! A light touch on the cheeks would really be nice!

At 68 I'm a little late to the party, but I have pretty good skin so hopefully I'm not too late! I'd been using Adapalene with no problem, but this .05% Tretenoin is another story! I was SO scared all of the norwegian formula hand creams were being discontinued! Just yesterday i went out and got two tubes of the fragrance free one. I tried it on my face last night since ive been having trouble with dryness and flaking. It looked and felt much better by this morning
T/Gel! As a life time scalp survivor of scalp psoriasis, T/Gel is the only item that can give my poor scalp some relief from the intense itching and often painful irritation. I’ve used this product probably since the 80’s.

I love the Anti-Residue Shampoo so much. I also really liked the Ultra Sheer Face Liquid SPF 70; it was the first sunscreen that I was able to wear consistently a few years ago when I started taking it seriously (I know, I know). Sad to see them go, but I do really appreciate that Neutrogena has a whole section of their website dedicated to discontinued products rather than just silently phasing them out without a word.

I remember neutrogena had these makeup kiosks at my mall - like in 2004- and they would match your color and do a skin damage analysis. I’ve been a true believer since then. The scent of the foundation still fills my heart with love.

Their Pore Refining Cleanser has been my go-to for over a decade…and I get lots of compliments on my skin. It minimizes adult acne which can still be an issue in my 60s.
Neutrogena is still making the original T/Gel, Extra Strength T/Gel, and the T/Sal shampoo. They are currently out of stock at the moment, though. It was only the Stubborn Itch T/Gel that was discontinued according to their website.
Thank God, my scalp would be a mess without. T/Sal!
That t-gel shampoo is literally the only thing that gets rid of my dandruff and alleviates itchiness. I found it over 10 years ago and don’t think I could live without it

My absolute favorite sunscreen was the Neutrogena Sun Fresh spf 50, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere for over a year, so I guess it was discontinued (even though the website says it's still available). I loved how it was easy to apply without leaving any weird feeling in my skin and that I could even use it in my face.

The SPF 100+ is my go to for outdoors. I am a redhead and this was really the ONLY sunscreen that worked well for me. I do not use it on my face, but when I am at the beach, it's what I need for sufficient coverage. I guess I will have to downgrade to the 70SPF.

I'm with you on the Hydro boost line. I love the face moisturizer, body lotion and sunscreen ( though I prefer the 30 spf over the 50 spf but wish it was the other way around😁)
The anti residue shampoo was my long-time favorite. I was so disappointed to hear that they discontinued it. I loved the smell and I used it only once a month. I really hope they bring that back again.

The Neutrogena stubborn acne AM treatment is my Neutrogena holy grail. I tried it hoping to replace my Paula’s Choice 2.5% BP leave on, and it did not disappoint. It’s cheaper than PC, easy to just pick up at Walmart instead of having to order and pay shipping, and honestly it seems to work even better than the PC 2.5% BP that I was using.

The fragrance free Norwegian Formula handcream has been used by generations of women in my family. Can't do without it! I used to also really like the Dry Touch until I started using it on my face and got the burning eyes thing (even when I use another sunscreen immediately around my eyes!). I also used the T-Gel when I was younger, but haven't used it in a while.

Ah, I LOVED the norwegian formula lip balm, although it was always hard to find. I could only find it at bed bath and beyond. I would also suggest the sunbum unscented mineral lip balm. I find it easier to use than vanicream's.
I have trusted and used Neutrogena products for decades. Their lotion eye makeup remover (blue tube) has been a total holy grail item of mine, and I'm so disappointed to see that it has been discontinued! Why Neutrogena?! As you mentioned, they have great R&D behind their products. I just clicked on their website, they have so many interesting products that I didn't even know existed, and lots of 25% off items too, plus free shipping! Good video Dr. Dray, thanks!

I love their Sport Face sunscreen. It's 70spf and it isn't greasy and it doesn't sting the eyes even when sweating. I hope they never discontinue that one.
Neutrogena makeup remover and melting balm! The best I have found to take off sunscreen and eye makeup in this price point. Never burns your eyes and leaves your face feeling clean but not drying.
I love those lip shines!! I'm a lip product junkie with probably more than 100 lipsticks, glosses, etc, but that is one I always have in my purse 😁 Highly recommend 👍

A couple of my favorites from Neutrogena- makeup melting balm (love it and use as the first step in my nightly cleansing routine). I also really love the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream ( I use this nightly in conjunction with my tretinoin, The tretinoin only goes on face and backs of hands but NOT my eye area).
This brings up an interesting topic in the skincare/ beauty industry. Why do so many brands discontinue GOOD products!? I think just about everybody has found something they love only to have it replaced by something new when they go to repurchase.
I hope they never discontinue the fragrance free hydro boost gel- I added that product to my routine after learning how you use it and it has made such a huge difference for my skin! Thank you Dr. Dray!

I am VERY sensitive to fragrance. Once I find a product that I can tolerate I usually stick with it. I have been a long time user of Clinique Moisture Surge, but after comparing the ingrdients in it with those in the Neutrogena fragrance free hydro boost gel, I decided to give the latter a try. I have found them to be so similar in outcome and tolerance that I switched because the Neutrogena product is a fraction of the cost per volume.

+1 for the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Regenerating Cream. I don't wear it daily, but a few times a week. My 50yo superdry dude skin likes it. I wear it alone, usually at night, but sometimes just on my forehead, temples, and crows feet. I started out in my teen years with the clear gold facial bar (do they still make that?), then in my 20's with Norwegian hand cream (on my face!) in cold weather and skiing. Then I became a mostly regular user of SPF 15 moisturizing lotion for my face, and for awhile I used a moisturizing eye cream.
Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Mineral Sunscreen SPF 60+ is the only sunscreen that never irritates my skin or eyes and doesn’t break me out.
Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair has been my fave. It really does wonder.
I use the both hand and foot cream, specially the foot cream. Also their foaming makeup remover and cleanser which I use. These three items I repurchase all the time. Your skin looks so beautiful and perfect ❤️
OMG- T-Gel has been a mainstay of mine to manage my psoriasis FOREVER. Must look into that Gekkerman therapy.

I'm with you on the Rapid Wrinkle Repair. I use it every night but alternate with OLAY Regenerist Retinol Max. Love both products and hope they are around forever.

I love Neutrogena Hydroboost Gentle Cleansing lotion. It cleans without leaving my skin feeling stripped and works surprisingly well to break down makeup and sunscreen. I wish I could use the Aveeno one since it is similar but in a bigger bottle, but it has feverfew extract which I'd like to avoid since I suffer from an allergy to ragweed.

Wow, the anti residue shampoo was available since the 1980s. Maybe before. Neutrogena was it's own thing, and frankly nicer before J & J bought them.
it was a good one
I do a rinse of apple cider vinegar straight after first wash and let it sit 30 sec. Then wash again and condition.
I used their clarifying shampoo when they 1st came out in the 80's. You needed that in the 80's with all our Big Hair junk we used, lol. But yea, I only used it once a week or every other week because it's drying. I haven't used a clarifying poo in years because I'm alot older, use very few products & my hair is dry.
