Hate the fact that cameras sucked back then and the quality wasn't the best but thank you for sharing this

When Schmotz had a 4 keyboard stack and St1tch had turntables 🤯

Yeah, buddy! =-) During the '90s/early 2000s, Schmotz used an Ensoniq ASR-10 sampler, Korg X3, and a Yamaha PSR-48. I don't know the model of the fourth keyboard that he used, though. I've always wondered what string patch he used in a lot of Shroom's songs. It's a delicate-sounding, high string sound that he layered with another string patch from the Korg X3. My guess is it's probably a factory sound from the ASR-10, but I'm not sure.

This is freaking AWESOME!! I miss that crunchy guitar tone. 😲 Love Jeff's SMDC (Skinny Mac Dog Collar) hoodie. There's not many clips from this era of the band online, so it's an absolute treat that they're now being posted. I'd love to see more clips from the M3 era (1999/2000). Thank you for sharing! 🤘
Also, it's interesting to see how Shroom's label went through quite a few name changes over the years: Mushroomhead Co., Shroom Co., Mushroomhead Inc., Skinny Mac Dog Collar, Filthy Hands, and now SK1 Industries.

Second the M3 footage, it's wild how there's absolutely NO footage of any show from that era online

@@e1028 Roxy mentioned that every show is recorded on video. I'm a little surprised that footage from that era wasn't circuited amongst tape trading circles. It was around that time that the audience attendance at their shows dwindled, which is interesting since they sold out the Blossom Music Centre in 2000 -- their biggest show ever. I have some photos from that show, as well as a scanned flyer when Dinner was still in the band -- he was fired some months before the Blossom gig.
Their visuals (the X-Face -- or as I jokingly refer to it as, the X-Files era since Skinny briefly changed his name to Skinner around '98/'99 😄) during the M3 era really complimented the sound/atmosphere of that album. There's something eerie about those homemade masks, lol.
Here's a couple archived web pages of their website from 1999/2000: web.archive.org/web/20000303173626/www.mushroomhead.com/
(love the M3 colour scheme 😊)

Just as rare is 2004-05 when Waylon first joined and had his skull face paint. Also, 2010-2011 is super rare content for when they did their last shows with gravy and pig. I'm hoping to find a live performance of Inspiration sometime too.

When Drums didn't sound like Paper & Cabinets were Mic'd.

Indeed! As much as I still love Shroom, there's a certain thickness that's lacking in their sound (not to mention the whammy bar desecration during Chancre Sore, live; JJ and Gravy schooled it). I'm sure that this could be remedied with the addition of a second guitar player.

I knew it! I knew that Pig Benis played a Conklin GT-5 back then. I own one and that bass is awesome.

I miss the 2 guitar set up. It sounds bigger and not everything is left up to just 1 guitar in the writing process

Is that JJ on guitar??? I had no idea he was in the band during the "7 string guitar era" it's definitely not Bronson on the right side of the stage, you can clearly see Gravy on the left.
