That was some great tips and insights. The insight of changing the witch was awesome, I didn't notice the ugly witch and that the customer doesn't want to see themselves as ugly. I'm impressed great redo.

Thanks Juna! This helped me to understand what is good and what is bad, about a design. When you show a few shirts, and say to "make them better," I understood what you were saying, but, sometimes, I wasn't understanding what was "bad" about them, but this really helped to show how to make designs work. It really helped to show me how to make the graphic match the text, both with the font, and what the shirt is actually saying...like you changed the witch, in this. This was such a helpful video.
@@DetourShirts That's horrible news, it is what makes your videos unique from the others...bummer. But if it is what "I Think" it might be, I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to do it anymore but I would ask you to please reconsider. Its always up to us to be diligent and careful.
I’m a wordsmith & just thought of two different phases that would work with the graphics. Unfortunately I’m still a bit clueless about the other things you taught us in this video😔 Thank you for helping us level up!
Your design looked a lot better but I really liked the font they used for stick so I would have made it bigger and changed the color to a brighter yellow and made the moon the same color. Looks great though!
Hey Juna, beautiful work! BTW, can you please teach us how to make some typography designs like those that we see on creative fabrica? It seems very complicated with all those dividers and decorative stuffs...
What an amazing change! First design wasn't that ugly but this improvement is awesome. I wonder when we will be able to get second design on our first try. Practice and consistency I guess. Thanks for all your tips! So much appreciated. I keep learning with you every day. 🥰👍🎃🎨
Hello, Juna! Thank you for yet another wonderful video. Would you be willing to share a good color palette for light-colored shirts? For example, if I want to create a text-based design that will look good on a pink shirt, light blue shirt, yellow shirt, etc. and I want to use text colors other than white, what colors go well with various light shirts? (One design that would work well on multiple light colors.)
Thank you Juna I've got alot of these designs similar to you're video tutorial and I know now I must change the colours and fonts to get more attention. I am really struggling with sales. GOD BLESS
Thanks for another helpful video. I have several similar designs and made 6 more following your suggestions. Today they are all on White backgrounds. Tomorrow I'll upload them with Black backgrounds.
great video Juno, thanks for all the lessons :) one question though, how do you know when the design is done? I know this comes from experience, but if you have any tips on this they would be appreciated
Yeah.... that's a tough one.... sometimes you just got to call it.... you want it to be simple but not too simple and detailed but not too detailed..... it all depends
Great video. I often end up revising my designs after I see them on the mock up on Merch. What looked great on a black background on my screen ends up not looking good a the shirt for some reason. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you... you are so right...You need to see it on the product most times to know.... that's what the customer is going to see too, so that makes perfect sense... great advice
Juna I appreciate your Detailed Tips on MBA, I saw alot of video regarding how to start a design in MBA but non of them teach the way you do i can tell my learning curve in designing jumped to a different level after watching your video and in one month I made 9 sell after following your tip, thank you but lastly I have a request from you in designing tutorial if you do not mind i saw a different retro vintage style in the vegan niche you post name of the shirt is (be kind to every kind T shirt vegan vegetarian Retro Tee) and the brand name is Pack A Punch can you please tell us on a design tutorial how to do this kind of vintage circles ? thank you
Big Fan... Super Video + font info! Suggestion: PLZ raise camera so we are not always looking up nostrials... also people usually don't like being talked down to (result of low camera angle) Good work Thanks and keep it up!
@@DetourShirts Preferred height for interveiw and on camera (see TV and News etc.) is for the lens (not just the camera) to be slightly above eye level.... if yer already there, then a littl chin tuck and hat brim pushed back will do the trick. If the jack-o-lanterns were kept, I would have made the eyes and mouth glow in yellow so it's a bit brighter. But the final redo you made looks awesome!
Once again, a good design made better by a few simple changes. Thanks for showing us this. That reminds me that I need to convert a couple of my designs to white text. So question - if we have white text, would it be better to make one design with white text and one with black text or do something like white text with a black outline and vice versa? I know on MBA you can choose your color of shirt so that wouldn't really matter. But with RB it goes on all the colors so obviously white text won't show up on a white t-shirt (without an outline).
Great question.... I usually do both for MBA (black version + white version)... for RedBubble I like to just do dark shirts and then do a dark text version for stickers and totes because they don't have dark backgrounds... I also add them to mugs because I like white mugs over dark. I know that doesn't cover the white shirts but that's how I do it.

Yes.... thanks... It helps to get into the mind of the customer
Great design! the only thing I would have added was to flip the direction of the witch, since we read left to right. It is more pleasing to the eye.
I was thinking of that... I should have played around with it a little more... good one

Or silhouette with illustrator
