  • AlpenFury is coming in 2025!
Following the park’s announcement on Thursday, August 8, I get to wander the park and try to visualize what AlpenFury will look like when it opens next spring!
I also get on Moosehorn Falls and give an honestly very positive review!
The Halloween Haunt shack is out including the new Demons of the Deep head!
It was Snoopy’s birthday and everyone was invited, including WOODSTOCK!
    (Stay tuned).

Trust me, I’m not just copying the comments for the trivia. It’s backlot stunt coaster. That was also my first ride.

The ride with a real fire effect is called backlot stunt coaster

Backlot stunt coaster, tho sadly apparently it doesn’t work anymore.

Given that my peak years were when Vortex opened - It wasn't as big of deal as when thunder Run first included! Vortex was a most eagerly waited for and justified introduction. All said, the Flurry is going to be the most disruptive Wonderland coaster ever.

Really appreciate your perspective on this! I know it could have been even more disruptive (with different track/support colours, for example), but it probably could have been a lot more subtle as well. Still very concerned about how it’s going to look from Front Gate.

It's indeed good that the park and the maker are trying to protect the various visuals. I do wonder, though, about audio-wise what the coaster will mean. That food and wine fest this year was in the plaza, wasn't it? Between the sudden sounds going past there, and past International Showplace, the push to expand beyond amusements back into theming may get distractions. How much can you concentrate on a song, if you've got an icewinder roll above you, even as far up as it is?

Very valid concern! Premier Rides’ coasters are quite a but quieter than a B&M, but it still could be a little distracting. Perhaps they’ll have to move the festival space (again) for next year. Maybe implementing some sound dampening techniques for the area around International Showplace? My favourite technique is planting more trees. 😅

Peter Switzer said that without comfort collars, seatbelts or those train guards... he see's the ride operating at one thousand people an hour. Let's see what happens and I 100% can see them already planning an attraction where the Skyflier turnaround is.

Yeah, I filmed this before hearing from Peter and I’m feeling much better about AlpenFury’s capacity now! And yeah, I’m sure the park has something in mind for the rest of Xtreme’s land and I’d be a little surprised if we didn’t see something there in the next five years. 😁

Backlot Stunt Coaster/Italian Job Stunt Track was the last ride with a fire effect, it's since been turned off tho... All the other parks still have the effect, kinda wonder why Wonderland turned it off. Also, can't wait to see what your monster friends have in store for this year!

It did not seem that bad when Vortex opened because it looked cool.
Thankfully it did not ruin the front appearance of the mountain. Although you see a little bit of Vortex track it made you want to see what was back there.
The last ride with a fire effect was The Italian Job (now called Backlot stunt coaster) that opened in 2005.
