That is a mistake, Universal Designs is the name of the Crossfield Refit's trait, that's the one that pairs well with the Immolating Phaser Lance. Synthetic Good Fortune is from the Equinox Pilot Scout Ship. Don't know how I mixed those two up, that's my bad. Sorry for the confusion.

Well, it doesn't really matter, that you hate the Connie3, because the Ship managed to keep enough of the entire Fleet off the ESD, that Picard and the D managed to Beat the Borg. And ingame: The Console is a Great Powerboost for the Damage-Output of the Cnyderian Defender. And the Speed-Boost of the Console does help for example in the Starbase1-STF, boosting the escaping Ships, with you being able to usew the Wave on the first and last Ships, making SB1 a Breeze, if you have 3 People with that Console.
Thanks for adding which ships are part of a Mudd Choice Pack/MEGA Bundle. There’s nothing worse than picking a ship just to find you *could* have gotten it account-wide with Dil-to-Zen grinding and/or cash. (Opposite of my first 2 Premium ship picks, which I chose first but within a few months, went to Mudd’s. Ouch.)
Yeah, it seemed like important info. Especially since with some of them, you don't just get the ship on account unlock, but also the other faction versions of it too, like the Disco D7 and Temporal Light Cruiser.

Great point about the Cali-class. Having fun should be the #1 priority and if flying a non-meta ship is fun, then go for it! That's why I chose a Parliament when I was blessed with the luck to get a T6 Infinity Box during the Black Friday sales when I could have gotten a Excelsior II or World Razer.
I really want the Excelsior II console for my new tank build. Once Cryptic finally gets their glitches under control. No one wants to re-slot all their Boffs when they warp into a map. And I do love the new Dishonorable Mention section! Thank you!
I didn't know about the special phasers or the battle cloak, now I'm even more excited to get the Neo Connie from this year's event campaign. I'll be building it like my Duderstadt, where I basically fly it like a battlecruiser, using two Omni phasers in the back to make up for a lack of forward weapon slots. The increased damage from those new phasers the Neo Connie comes with could possibly further balance out the damage. Not exactly a meta build I know, but it's how I like to play.
Really useful video, thank you. My husband is going with the Theseus this year and, although I do own a Lexington and love it, I'm going with your Dishonourable Mention. I loved Picard S3, and I'm a 40 year old man who still wants to be captain of the Enterprise so it's ticking multiple boxes there. I'm a decent DPSer at best, and certainly no meta-chaser, so I think it'll fit me nicely. As you quite rightly said, pick whatever you're going to have fun with and, for me, that's the Connie III.
Nice list and great breakdown this is very helpful for knowing what to go for with this year's STO event. Glad there giving away all three of the rewards instead of just letting you pick only one.
I've been grinding EC to buy the Excel II outright, but good to know I can get it here too. (I suspect if they put the Obena in I'd rather go for that one but honestly I'd take both to kitbash them together at this point. They're both such good looking ships. )
Came back to this video in anticipation of finishing the Event Campaign in two weeks. Really excellent guide, love your presentation that gives all of the neat details and information! Personally, I’m gonna pick the Constitution III. I’m very used to 4/4 Cruisers, never really worried about the Pilot seating in the first place, the Miracle Worker Innovation abilities are neat, and the console set up is great. I’m not that interested in the console it comes with, so that gives me more space for another Vulnerability Exploiter console. On top of that, I think the ship looks fantastic, and it’s the closest we might ever get to having a Shangri-La class in-game (hence, I’ll be putting an all-Obliviating Beam Array build on it for maximum TMP vibes). The really wonderful thing about STO is that odds are, there is gonna be a ship for everyone’s tastes!

I found Friendship class has ideal seating for a tank/support as I imagine it (mainly 8 weapons, suppresing fire 3, 2x hangar). It's just a shame it's not the same ship on kdf, because I absolutely refuse to play Fed ship on KDF.
I took the Excelsior 2 last year and the Experiment Power Redirection console that throws beams everywhere (super fun) is also reclaimable for free in the dilitium store reclaim tab, so you can put it on multiple ships if you are the type (like me) that likes to keep a loadout saved on your ships and not swapping the same consoles around constantly.
@@jamesrollins6226 I should clarify, the console is re-claimable on the character that you have the ship on, NOT account-wide. The ship is also not reclaimable at all.

Personally, I _strongly_ recommend the Dhailkhina Command Strike Wing Warbird... specifically for how well it pairs with the console and experimental weapon from the Terran Hydra Intel Destroyer from the C-Store. The Dhailkhina has a hangar bay, its console summons pets and it has Command BOFF seating, so it can use Call Emergency Artillery. Combine that with the Armed Loitering Munition experimental weapon from the Hydra and you can seriously exploit the H.Y.D.R.A console for a stupid amount of damage. Plus, if you set this build up on a Science toon, then the Photonic Fleet captain ability is also compatible with the HYDRA console. And since this year's event campaign will include the store coupons and the premium ship without making you choose, anyone who doesn't already own the Terran Hydra will be able to claim both that, and the Dhailkhina at the same time once finishing the campaign. I'm sure there's probably even better ways of exploiting the HYDRA console for everything its worth, but this is absolutely a strong combination as it is.
All great picks. As much as I like the World Razor, I think it'll be the D7 for me mostly for the trait. Most of my dps focus is on one toon so while an account wide unlock would be nice I'm not sure it is worth the cost of Mudd's.
yeah, it is expensive, but keep in mind you also get the Disco Connie along with it. And the Ba'ul Sentry ship is in that bundle too. Up to you though, obviously. Not matter how good a Mudd's bundle is, it's still a Mudd's bundle, and thus, quite expensive.
Weren't the old Connie designs kept at a low level because Paramount (and possibly Perfect World) didn't want the game to have a million 'Enterprises' running around? I'm definitely grabbing the Gorn ship though.
I did painful grinding to get World Razors for my main and alts. But it has been so worth it. I love the World Razor in the Safe Galaxy vanity shield. The grey and black urban camo looks kinda right on a starship.
Correction - I just read the tooltip for the campaign, and it clearly says that any premium ships you pick, are account bound. So, you can pick up the ship on any character. And I'm aiming to get the California Class, b/c I've got the LD uniforms. Only makes sense to the Cali class. Next is the Temporal Light Cruiser for one of my TOS characters.
I’m thinking to pick up the world razor this year as I love the galaxy class and mixing with the other parts is really appealing. The disco friendship class is nice looking. Otherwise I’m a sucker for borg so thinking to the Borg assimilator for Star Trek Armada I know the ship suck but I waited so much for a proper borg ship for my borg toon. Otherwise, Constitution 3 is a bit appealing, D7 miracle worker and the cali class. Though decision.
the cali class is definitely one of my best decisions ever made. it is SURPRISINGLY durable for its size, and the console is great for groups of small enemies.
This is a great list; I would heavily argue against Excelsior II over Connie III though. Excelsior II has a great SS3 layout, it's console is great, and it can run OSS along with MW abilities. Connie III, however, can run FHA and MW abilities, has a far better trait (20% flat bonus damage), some of the best beam arrays in the game, and can slot 2 more Isomags then the Excelsior II. Lexington is definitely a better value over the Connie III, but having played with all three, I'm pretty comfortable saying Connie III is a better event-campaign grab compared to Excelsior II. Dedicated Surgical Strike or OSS builds are the only place I see Excelsior II being better.
I'm currently gunning for the Vengeance Intel Dreadnought and Theseus Miracle Worker for Lobi and Premium Lockbox rewards. I may just hang onto the T6 Tokens to see what the future holds. Being F2P, I've concentrated all my resources on Tact DEW builds, so I'm kind of limited but also more focused at the same time. Thanks for the break down, as always o7

I'm torn between the D7 MW FDC and the Gorn Pilot Hunter. On one hand extra console from MW & D7 that speaks to my Space Barbie as a Romulan main (moreso than the Suliban FDC). On the other hand, Romulan main -- so ALL the plasma things the Gorn PH comes with. LOL
I agree with the idea of getting fun ships. I don't play with the 1701-D dreadnought as much as I used to, but it was the first t-6 shop I got and I loved playing it. Also, that makes it easier not to buy something.
i love my Gorn Raider ship it looks like a borg ship and i am not bothered by the spinning just dont change its colours so the ship blends into space more and you can barely notice it.
I get what Stu means as have the Vulcan Experimental Scout Vessel (Spock Jelly) and its a great ship but the spinning animation is very annoying as draws your focus the only customizing you can do is skin only.
My critique is that I would have selected ships that are still only able to be obtained from the lockbox or promos. Anything that can be obtained from the Lobi store or through a Mudd's bundle when they are, I would have left out. Otherwise, solid list over-all. I still have my ship picked out, but I do wish that there was a Mudd's bundle for it, or something in the Zen Store that would give me the skin for it. Rest of the ships can be bought with enough EC and patience, just that the ship I'm still after for what it has for beam weapons and broadsides along with piloting it because I want to pilot it, tends to not be available very often on the exchange, and when it is it's out of my current range. Wish they'd just put it into the lockbox pool already so that more would show up to prove whether it's a garbage ship to most people or not, and therefore cause prices to change accordingly. But I guess that's not happening until a ship that people like more in the aesthetics shows up as an infinity promo, meaning that I'm having to rely on the event campaign for the time being for a cheaper way to get the ship until who knows when... (Though if anyone is willing to give me some for my main and a few 25c and TOS federation alts so I can instead choose the World Razer or Theseus for my main of C'rson, I won't say no. But really, who has three spare Const-*Is disintegrated by STU before he can finish that sentence.*)
Only one very minor issue, the World Razer doesn't get access to the Envoy/Celestial versions of the Galaxy Class costumes (nor does the Legendary one from the 10th Anni Bundle) but she is a fun ship to fly!
Last year I came back to STO and completed the campaign for the first time. My pick was the 2 T6 coupons, grabbed the Lexington and Trailblazer. No clue what I'll do with the Lobi or the coupons this year. Maybe a Negh'Var to make fleet versions cheaper? Have all the Cstore ships I want nowadays. But that premium ship? XIndi. Always wanted the Aquatic Carrier. Sometimes it's not about stats, but a theme. I have an affinity for water/ice. (Already have the Breen quad-pack)
I've always liked the Xindi Aquatic ship. It's one of those ships that's been on may list for ages but I've just never gotten around to getting because there's always something else that take priority. It's a bit dated at this point, but I'd still love to get my hands on one.
So...about the Constitution III...did anyone else have a problem with a 100 year old klingon cloaking device working as well as it did in Picard? By the 25th century it had already been established that there was lots of ways to get through a cloak, especially an outdated klingon cloak. I feel like this was another case of writers not bothering with source material.
Synthetic fortune is a good trait. But it's from the cstore equinox. It stacks up both CRIT chance and starship control which is a nice science build trait. Universal designs is the one that stacks on use of universal consoles. Think it was 10 chance and 50 severity. It pairs fine with the emulating phaser lance but is godly with the console from Texas. It has an 8 second recharge and if you're feeling adventurous the console Borg tractor beam console from market which stacks up 10 times giving all universal consoles 100% additional base damage so you can reach 700-800k easy one shots on consoles and 2-3m on the console from.the titan

With the new reward prize, I'm looking at the D7 or the Theseus. I think Theseus could fly as a Republic referb of an old Federation hulk with the Romulan shield in the vanity slot, plus... its Scotty's Ship! Dailkina is an outside choice. All final decisions are going to be after the Summer Event ship comes out though, if it is as capable as last year's it might change the decision. I agree on not enough Vulcan ships! And with the addition of psionic damage weapons to the game with the Cyclone's Vulcan derived experimental weapon, Vulcan ships would be great to add more widely available psionic weapons to the game. Here's hoping they surprise us and the Summer Ship this year is a D'kyr variant!
You can still get the Amarie from the Event Campaign. This video is just my own recommendations, but it's your prize, pick what you think you'll have the most fun in. And the Amarie is a solid ship. A little aged at this point, but still great for an energy weapon build.
I'm really torn between the Excelsior II (mega beam spam), the World Razer (best pew pew Galaxy variant), and the Gorn Raider (all the plasma burns). Might narrow it down to Excelsior and Gorn Raider, since I have the Cygnus for Galaxy brand pews for now.
Although you incorrectly mention SGF it should be given more credit for CritCh & Control boosts then it does as a lot easier to trigger than say KTWTD .I would argue UD is less worth it if you want CritCh but its the critD in combo that works well but you would be better or getting ship of the line from the battlecruiser bundle as account wide reclaimable in comparison. I have been dabbling (Not DPS meta but decent) but pilot science EPG build setups which works quite nicely with an older Leg Voyager (Legendary Miracle Worker Multi-Mission Science Vessel) in the 10th with 14 console slots and a hanger bay and holds its own in most content.
I‘m hoping there’s a Mudd sale on the Disco Inferno pack again. Haven’t gotten one of those before but would really enjoy those ships. Probably will get something like Discovery for the event ship though just for fluff.
More great info. Thanks Stu. :) I never cared for the meta before, so I wasted several years' worth of these ships when this event launched. I was more of a space-Barbie player (still am, who am I kidding), so I wanted the ships from the shows - even if they sucked (I'm looking at you Universe Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Cruiser). So now, I'm playing catchup. Have to decide whether or not I want the Deimos, D7, or the Crossfield for this next ship to further build upon my phaser build. And then of course, you mention the World Razer and Excelsior II! Crap!!! Too many good things for phaser builds from these boxes. :D
This is another thing I probably don't talk about enough; just because a ship doesn't have great stats doesn't mean you can't make it work in elite. It's always been more about the gear, traits, and player skill than the ship itself.
What I like about your picks as you get not everyone is after having the beast of a ship that wipes out everything. I pretty much play alone these days as I got sick of all the moaning in chat pushing to up the dps.
It's a very pretty ship, I'm looking forward to it eventually replacing the F in STO as the Enterprise going forward. They already removed Icheb and Hugh after they died and seem to have tossed in a random cali class into all the old missions. So they acknowledge most of what is canon, all we need is to get the Odyssey out and the pretty new ship in. But in a fitting way of course, the F deserves some fanfare despite it's run as the least enterprisey enterprise with basically only combat on it's record
It's good list. Problem is there is too much to choose from. I really want the console from the Atlas and Excel II. Then I want the trait from the Mirror Warship. I'm like a kid in the candy store. If you want a DPRM, just play a Romulan and get it off the exchange. Plus you can get 100% crit chance relatively easily. Even easier with the lobi you'll be getting from this event
Remember that the old cross faction boxes aren't a thing anymore since cross faction flying came out. So what cross faction boxes are left are the only ones left that exist, so who can get very expensive as well as supply continues to go down and down.
Thanks for the info! So, with the D7 Miracle flight deck carrier, you get the "ruin over enemies" trait just for the one Klingon char, not for the whole account? That's disappointing. Tough choice. Does the Excelsior II improve surgical strike builds?
Any of these Premium ships that you pick up from the Event Campaign will be single character unlocks, that includes the ship itself, as well as the console, trait, and any other special items they may come with. If you pick up the D7 Miracle Worker Flight Deck Carrier, it, and everything on it, will only able usable on the character you open the box on (though that character does not have to be a KDF character because of crossfaction flying). Excelsior II is best suited for Surgical Strikes (it being an Intel ship), however, I wouldn't say it has anything that significantly improves Surgical Strikes. The trait will buff beam weapons while using it, but it's not the big buff. It's shortcomings are that that it can't use Dual Cannons and has a 4/4 layout, so it's best suited for a broadside version of any of the beam firing mode (including Surgical Strikes). The Excelsior II's real selling point, in my opinion, is it's console, which is great for any kind of Phaser build. After I got it, it quickly became one of my favorite consoles in the game. But, like with the D7 Carrier, it'll also be a single character unlock.
Dunno, the Legendary Romulan Captain Bundle is one of the worst value for price. I got a Romulan 23c main, so T'Liss is a must, but there's no point in that ship for an account unlock. And it just screams Plasma CSV, so the command seat don't do you any good, while the pilot seat gives you another unconventional systems trigger together with all the Temorary triggers.... my 2 cents. While I do put a lot of emphasis on ship stats and the accessories a ship comes with in order to inform people about items that could better improve their builds , one thing I do always say is that the best ship to pick from the event campaign is the one you think you'll have the most fun with. Don't feel like you're limited to my suggestions, pick the ship you want to fly the most.

Go for it! The Quark Marauder is actually really nice for Energy Weapons because it's a Miracle Worker ship. Narrow Sensor Bands and Mixed Armament Synergies are really good for buffing them.

Good list & breakdown Stu1701, I have many of these ships already so I’m torn between the Friendship & the Sh’vhal. I love EPG builds and I too am tired of the Verne being the primary choice. I don’t like the look of the Friendship but the console & trait would be the main reason for getting it to build out a carrier/pet build. LMAO @ Dishonorable Mention!! The hate is real!!! Stu, would you hate the Connie 3 so much if it hadn’t “replaced” the Odyssey in S3 of Picard?!? 😂 I get it, I wasn’t a fan of that change either however I do like the look of the Connie3 and the trait, console & beam arrays are huge selling points for me (I like to broadside/FAW). So when it drops in a Mudds bundle I’m getting it for the account-wide unlock. My hope is that the next version of the Connie3 will be a 5/3 Cmd/Temp. World Razer is a SOLID choice!! I would also pick this up in a bundle. Honorable mentions ~ I’d venture to say that how u feel about the Connie3 is how I feel about the California class….i hate everything about this ship!! Although I LOVE Lower Decks. Again, good list!
I totally forgot about that one. I tend to forget it's a lockbox ship because I got it in the 12th Anniversary bundle. But yeah, definitely worth picking up for SAD if you like pets.
Only good thing the Connie 3 is good for is if your collecting CONNIES! That is it. Otherwise, yeah there are still better ships in the game for the campaign.
OK Stu I have a qick question. I thought the event ship would be an account wide unlock so that all of my toons could get it, that's not the case? If only one character can claim the ship, would the DPRM from the Atlas Prototype serve me better on a SCI, TAC, or ENG captain?

Romulan Alien Tac for space, Alien Engineer for ground on any faction, if I remember correctly. Though there are some ground TFO's where seems to be better.

it's why i have the constitution III as one of my primary ships. in contrast to what Stu says, the ship does EVERYTHING i need in a ship.

I've been grinding EC to buy the Excel II outright, but good to know I can get it here too. (I suspect if they put the Obena in I'd rather go for that one but honestly I'd take both to kitbash them together at this point. They're both such good looking ships. )

Personally, I’m gonna pick the Constitution III. I’m very used to 4/4 Cruisers, never really worried about the Pilot seating in the first place, the Miracle Worker Innovation abilities are neat, and the console set up is great. I’m not that interested in the console it comes with, so that gives me more space for another Vulnerability Exploiter console. On top of that, I think the ship looks fantastic, and it’s the closest we might ever get to having a Shangri-La class in-game (hence, I’ll be putting an all-Obliviating Beam Array build on it for maximum TMP vibes). The really wonderful thing about STO is that odds are, there is gonna be a ship for everyone’s tastes!

I found Friendship class has ideal seating for a tank/support as I imagine it (mainly 8 weapons, suppresing fire 3, 2x hangar). It's just a shame it's not the same ship on kdf, because I absolutely refuse to play Fed ship on KDF.

I took the Excelsior 2 last year and the Experiment Power Redirection console that throws beams everywhere (super fun) is also reclaimable for free in the dilitium store reclaim tab, so you can put it on multiple ships if you are the type (like me) that likes to keep a loadout saved on your ships and not swapping the same consoles around constantly.

Sh'Vhal Temporal Science Spearhead looks like a love toy with a ring on it.
Personally, I _strongly_ recommend the Dhailkhina Command Strike Wing Warbird... specifically for how well it pairs with the console and experimental weapon from the Terran Hydra Intel Destroyer from the C-Store.
The Dhailkhina has a hangar bay, its console summons pets and it has Command BOFF seating, so it can use Call Emergency Artillery. Combine that with the Armed Loitering Munition experimental weapon from the Hydra and you can seriously exploit the H.Y.D.R.A console for a stupid amount of damage. Plus, if you set this build up on a Science toon, then the Photonic Fleet captain ability is also compatible with the HYDRA console.
And since this year's event campaign will include the store coupons and the premium ship without making you choose, anyone who doesn't already own the Terran Hydra will be able to claim both that, and the Dhailkhina at the same time once finishing the campaign. I'm sure there's probably even better ways of exploiting the HYDRA console for everything its worth, but this is absolutely a strong combination as it is.
The excelsior trait and console should help me out a whole bunch. Thanks for this.

All great picks. As much as I like the World Razor, I think it'll be the D7 for me mostly for the trait. Most of my dps focus is on one toon so while an account wide unlock would be nice I'm not sure it is worth the cost of Mudd's.
yeah, it is expensive, but keep in mind you also get the Disco Connie along with it. And the Ba'ul Sentry ship is in that bundle too. Up to you though, obviously. Not matter how good a Mudd's bundle is, it's still a Mudd's bundle, and thus, quite expensive.
Weren't the old Connie designs kept at a low level because Paramount (and possibly Perfect World) didn't want the game to have a million 'Enterprises' running around?

Well at first i was thinking getting the neo constitution..but after watching your video, i believe the Theseus class will be my next ship.
I did painful grinding to get World Razors for my main and alts. But it has been so worth it. I love the World Razor in the Safe Galaxy vanity shield. The grey and black urban camo looks kinda right on a starship.
Correction - I just read the tooltip for the campaign, and it clearly says that any premium ships you pick, are account bound. So, you can pick up the ship on any character. And I'm aiming to get the California Class, b/c I've got the LD uniforms. Only makes sense to the Cali class. Next is the Temporal Light Cruiser for one of my TOS characters.

I’m thinking to pick up the world razor this year as I love the galaxy class and mixing with the other parts is really appealing. The disco friendship class is nice looking.
Otherwise I’m a sucker for borg so thinking to the Borg assimilator for Star Trek Armada I know the ship suck but I waited so much for a proper borg ship for my borg toon.
Otherwise, Constitution 3 is a bit appealing, D7 miracle worker and the cali class. Though decision.

the cali class is definitely one of my best decisions ever made. it is SURPRISINGLY durable for its size, and the console is great for groups of small enemies.
This is a great list; I would heavily argue against Excelsior II over Connie III though. Excelsior II has a great SS3 layout, it's console is great, and it can run OSS along with MW abilities. Connie III, however, can run FHA and MW abilities, has a far better trait (20% flat bonus damage), some of the best beam arrays in the game, and can slot 2 more Isomags then the Excelsior II. Lexington is definitely a better value over the Connie III, but having played with all three, I'm pretty comfortable saying Connie III is a better event-campaign grab compared to Excelsior II. Dedicated Surgical Strike or OSS builds are the only place I see Excelsior II being better.

I'm currently gunning for the Vengeance Intel Dreadnought and Theseus Miracle Worker for Lobi and Premium Lockbox rewards. I may just hang onto the T6 Tokens to see what the future holds. Being F2P, I've concentrated all my resources on Tact DEW builds, so I'm kind of limited but also more focused at the same time.

I'm torn between the D7 MW FDC and the Gorn Pilot Hunter. On one hand extra console from MW & D7 that speaks to my Space Barbie as a Romulan main (moreso than the Suliban FDC). On the other hand, Romulan main -- so ALL the plasma things the Gorn PH comes with. LOL
I wish the other Vulcan ship had the Sh'vhal material instead of the dated sto Vulcan material

I agree with the idea of getting fun ships. I don't play with the 1701-D dreadnought as much as I used to, but it was the first t-6 shop I got and I loved playing it. Also, that makes it easier not to buy something.
For purely "Space Barbie" reasons, I think I'm gonna go with the Shrike for my Delta Romulan character and have that be his "hero ship".

i love my Gorn Raider ship it looks like a borg ship and i am not bothered by the spinning just dont change its colours so the ship blends into space more and you can barely notice it.
I get what Stu means as have the Vulcan Experimental Scout Vessel (Spock Jelly) and its a great ship but the spinning animation is very annoying as draws your focus the only customizing you can do is skin only.
My critique is that I would have selected ships that are still only able to be obtained from the lockbox or promos. Anything that can be obtained from the Lobi store or through a Mudd's bundle when they are, I would have left out. Otherwise, solid list over-all. I still have my ship picked out, but I do wish that there was a Mudd's bundle for it, or something in the Zen Store that would give me the skin for it. Rest of the ships can be bought with enough EC and patience, just that the ship I'm still after for what it has for beam weapons and broadsides along with piloting it because I want to pilot it, tends to not be available very often on the exchange, and when it is it's out of my current range. Wish they'd just put it into the lockbox pool already so that more would show up to prove whether it's a garbage ship to most people or not, and therefore cause prices to change accordingly. But I guess that's not happening until a ship that people like more in the aesthetics shows up as an infinity promo, meaning that I'm having to rely on the event campaign for the time being for a cheaper way to get the ship until who knows when...
(Though if anyone is willing to give me some for my main and a few 25c and TOS federation alts so I can instead choose the World Razer or Theseus for my main of C'rson, I won't say no. But really, who has three spare Const-*Is disintegrated by STU before he can finish that sentence.*)
Only one very minor issue, the World Razer doesn't get access to the Envoy/Celestial versions of the Galaxy Class costumes (nor does the Legendary one from the 10th Anni Bundle) but she is a fun ship to fly!

Last year I came back to STO and completed the campaign for the first time. My pick was the 2 T6 coupons, grabbed the Lexington and Trailblazer.
No clue what I'll do with the Lobi or the coupons this year. Maybe a Negh'Var to make fleet versions cheaper? Have all the Cstore ships I want nowadays. But that premium ship? XIndi.
Always wanted the Aquatic Carrier. Sometimes it's not about stats, but a theme. I have an affinity for water/ice. (Already have the Breen quad-pack)
I've always liked the Xindi Aquatic ship. It's one of those ships that's been on may list for ages but I've just never gotten around to getting because there's always something else that take priority. It's a bit dated at this point, but I'd still love to get my hands on one.

So...about the Constitution III...did anyone else have a problem with a 100 year old klingon cloaking device working as well as it did in Picard? By the 25th century it had already been established that there was lots of ways to get through a cloak, especially an outdated klingon cloak. I feel like this was another case of writers not bothering with source material.
Synthetic fortune is a good trait. But it's from the cstore equinox. It stacks up both CRIT chance and starship control which is a nice science build trait. Universal designs is the one that stacks on use of universal consoles. Think it was 10 chance and 50 severity. It pairs fine with the emulating phaser lance but is godly with the console from Texas. It has an 8 second recharge and if you're feeling adventurous the console Borg tractor beam console from market which stacks up 10 times giving all universal consoles 100% additional base damage so you can reach 700-800k easy one shots on consoles and 2-3m on the console from.the titan

With the new reward prize, I'm looking at the D7 or the Theseus. I think Theseus could fly as a Republic referb of an old Federation hulk with the Romulan shield in the vanity slot, plus... its Scotty's Ship! Dailkina is an outside choice. All final decisions are going to be after the Summer Event ship comes out though, if it is as capable as last year's it might change the decision.
I agree on not enough Vulcan ships! And with the addition of psionic damage weapons to the game with the Cyclone's Vulcan derived experimental weapon, Vulcan ships would be great to add more widely available psionic weapons to the game. Here's hoping they surprise us and the Summer Ship this year is a D'kyr variant!

You can still get the Amarie from the Event Campaign. This video is just my own recommendations, but it's your prize, pick what you think you'll have the most fun in. And the Amarie is a solid ship. A little aged at this point, but still great for an energy weapon build.

I'm really torn between the Excelsior II (mega beam spam), the World Razer (best pew pew Galaxy variant), and the Gorn Raider (all the plasma burns). Might narrow it down to Excelsior and Gorn Raider, since I have the Cygnus for Galaxy brand pews for now.
Although you incorrectly mention SGF it should be given more credit for CritCh & Control boosts then it does as a lot easier to trigger than say KTWTD .I would argue UD is less worth it if you want CritCh but its the critD in combo that works well but you would be better or getting ship of the line from the battlecruiser bundle as account wide reclaimable in comparison. I have been dabbling (Not DPS meta but decent) but pilot science EPG build setups which works quite nicely with an older Leg Voyager (Legendary Miracle Worker Multi-Mission Science Vessel) in the 10th with 14 console slots and a hanger bay and holds its own in most content.
I‘m hoping there’s a Mudd sale on the Disco Inferno pack again. Haven’t gotten one of those before but would really enjoy those ships. Probably will get something like Discovery for the event ship though just for fluff.

More great info. Thanks Stu. :) I never cared for the meta before, so I wasted several years' worth of these ships when this event launched. I was more of a space-Barbie player (still am, who am I kidding), so I wanted the ships from the shows - even if they sucked (I'm looking at you Universe Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Cruiser). So now, I'm playing catchup. Have to decide whether or not I want the Deimos, D7, or the Crossfield for this next ship to further build upon my phaser build. And then of course, you mention the World Razer and Excelsior II! Crap!!! Too many good things for phaser builds from these boxes. :D

This is another thing I probably don't talk about enough; just because a ship doesn't have great stats doesn't mean you can't make it work in elite. It's always been more about the gear, traits, and player skill than the ship itself.
Is the temporal light cruiser available from the event campaign? The wiki says it's only from promotional t6 boxes from the special r&d and doff packs

It's a very pretty ship, I'm looking forward to it eventually replacing the F in STO as the Enterprise going forward. They already removed Icheb and Hugh after they died and seem to have tossed in a random cali class into all the old missions. So they acknowledge most of what is canon, all we need is to get the Odyssey out and the pretty new ship in. But in a fitting way of course, the F deserves some fanfare despite it's run as the least enterprisey enterprise with basically only combat on it's record
It's good list. Problem is there is too much to choose from. I really want the console from the Atlas and Excel II. Then I want the trait from the Mirror Warship. I'm like a kid in the candy store. Will wait and see what the sale is like in a couple of weeks and see what I get from Mudds.

If you want a DPRM, just play a Romulan and get it off the exchange. Plus you can get 100% crit chance relatively easily. Even easier with the lobi you'll be getting from this event
Remember that the old cross faction boxes aren't a thing anymore since cross faction flying came out. So what cross faction boxes are left are the only ones left that exist, so who can get very expensive as well as supply continues to go down and down.
Thanks for the info! So, with the D7 Miracle flight deck carrier, you get the "ruin over enemies" trait just for the one Klingon char, not for the whole account? That's disappointing. Tough choice. Does the Excelsior II improve surgical strike builds?
Any of these Premium ships that you pick up from the Event Campaign will be single character unlocks, that includes the ship itself, as well as the console, trait, and any other special items they may come with. If you pick up the D7 Miracle Worker Flight Deck Carrier, it, and everything on it, will only able usable on the character you open the box on (though that character does not have to be a KDF character because of crossfaction flying).
Excelsior II is best suited for Surgical Strikes (it being an Intel ship), however, I wouldn't say it has anything that significantly improves Surgical Strikes. The trait will buff beam weapons while using it, but it's not the big buff. It's shortcomings are that that it can't use Dual Cannons and has a 4/4 layout, so it's best suited for a broadside version of any of the beam firing mode (including Surgical Strikes). The Excelsior II's real selling point, in my opinion, is it's console, which is great for any kind of Phaser build. After I got it, it quickly became one of my favorite consoles in the game. But, like with the D7 Carrier, it'll also be a single character unlock.
For my carrier captain I was thinking of grabbing the mirror Strikewing Escort for SAD, but I wonder if I should pick up the Friendship🤔

Dunno, the Legendary Romulan Captain Bundle is one of the worst value for price. I got a Romulan 23c main, so T'Liss is a must, but there's no point in that ship for an account unlock. And it just screams Plasma CSV, so the command seat don't do you any good, while the pilot seat gives you another unconventional systems trigger together with all the Temorary triggers.... my 2 cents. I hate the fact that my choices for this come down to what weapons or console I need and not because I want the ship.
While I do put a lot of emphasis on ship stats and the accessories a ship comes with in order to inform people about items that could better improve their builds , one thing I do always say is that the best ship to pick from the event campaign is the one you think you'll have the most fun with. Don't feel like you're limited to my suggestions, pick the ship you want to fly the most.

Go for it! The Quark Marauder is actually really nice for Energy Weapons because it's a Miracle Worker ship. Narrow Sensor Bands and Mixed Armament Synergies are really good for buffing them.

Good list & breakdown Stu1701, I have many of these ships already so I’m torn between the Friendship & the Sh’vhal. I love EPG builds and I too am tired of the Verne being the primary choice. I don’t like the look of the Friendship but the console & trait would be the main reason for getting it to build out a carrier/pet build.

I totally forgot about that one. I tend to forget it's a lockbox ship because I got it in the 12th Anniversary bundle. But yeah, definitely worth picking up for SAD if you like pets.

Only good thing the Connie 3 is good for is if your collecting CONNIES! That is it. Otherwise, yeah there are still better ships in the game for the campaign.

Romulan Alien Tac for space, Alien Engineer for ground on any faction, if I remember correctly. Though there are some ground TFO's where seems to be better.
