      Thanks C D James! I know its basic -the grill is new to a lot of people and I hoping to show them how long each item takes then they can start baking a potato then add bone in chicken thighs at the 20-25 minute mark then add. veg a bit later(depends on the veg) and end up with a complete meal. Its perfect for 1-2 people depending on appetites.
      Once they get the times down-they can create meals!
      Thanks!

    Loved your video. Only change would be what I saw in Americas Test Kitchen. That salt water brined, just dipped and covered it all, cooked it the same time then at the end the did the oil. It keeps the skin from turning leathery and looking weird. Taste not effected. Great job.

    Your videos are helpful. Thank you. questions.
    1. We have an instant pot pressure cooker without air fryer. Love it and use it for most diners. Looking for something complimentary. That is during the summer months, something that we could use at "the cabin". But in the winter, would compliment our instant pot at home. What are your thoughts?
    2. I was considering the ninja grill. For a) air fried foods like chicken or french fries. b) I was thinking that as a small convection oven, it would cook faster than our traditional conventional oven. But it doesn't seem to be faster in this video. Is the ninja grill, when used as an oven, faster than a traditional oven or not?
    3. What temperature do you cook baked potatoes to?
    Thanks.

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 года назад +1

      If it was me I would purchase the Ninja Grill as you already have the instant pot. I'm making chciken. tenders tonight and they will cook in about 17 minutes depending on the. size and when I cook a chicken breast(I usually cut mine in half length wise so they are thinner and they cook in 12 minutes). So. I would say the grill cooks faster. I cook my potatoes. to 205-210F guess you could say well done-it also depends on the size of the potatoes as smaller ones cook faster.
      I'm really liking. the grill and foodi here while I'm in Vegas as it is very hot! Today 104F! It doesn't really heat up the kitchen like a regular oven would.
      Hope this helps Ann. Thank you!

  • @artillustrations
    @artillustrations 4 года назад +4

    Just a recommendation for users, the olive oil can create more smoke than you wanna deal with. Perhaps to prevent it, wrap the potatoes in foil so you still get the buttery flavor. Red potatoes are great when cooked with olive oil and salt :)

    Hi Lisa, do you think that 1 hour is about the time the Ninja Foodi will take for large baked potatoes?

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  5 лет назад +2

      Hi David! Use the same temp. 375F/190C. Flip/turn potato at 30 minute mark and se where your at temp wise or feel- poke it. The 14.8 oz/419 grams took about 50-55 minutes but I like my potatoes 205F/96C an above.

    It say not to use olive for anything, cuz it smokes. I don't like other pull plus want to finish ones here. Never tried avacado. I will just buy it to try it use other olive ones I have for rice, so is okay. Soon finishing them up in few more months, so it be okay. Not sire like canola much, but only for rice cooking & frying. I don't get that you said you can, but I will try bow for potatoes. I trust you. I will blame you though, if it smoke. lol

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 года назад

      Hehehe... you can blame me. I treat the Foodi and Grill like a regular oven. If I used olive oil in the oven I use it in the Foodi or Grill. If I air crisp or air fry above 390F I use avacado oil- has a higher smoke point. You can also use other high temp oils. I never use canola oil but just my preference. Thanks Lily Valley!
