This recipe is AWESOME! I used coffee in place of the water. This brings a deeper chocolate flavor. I used white chocolate instead of dark in the ganache and I chilled my electric beaters in freezer 15 minutes before whipping the mousse. This made the peaks stiffer. Lastly, I put cake in freezer after I added the mousse. This makes it firm up and release from sides easier. Wonderful, easy recipe for egg allergies! I came upon this recipe by accident, but I added it to my new favorites. Thank you for this. My son is allergic to eggs and nuts. This gave him a HUGE smile.

This looks so much like a dessert that I get at a restaurant called “The Irish Rover”. They call it “Chocolate Guinness Cake”. They actually add Guinness to the bottom cake portion. It makes it moist and very flavorful. It’s the only way I can have Guinness! This is the best dessert!!
You can make whipped cream at home, just boil 1 litre of milk on low gas and continue stirring slowly and keep taking out the milk skin and whatever is left in the pan use as the whipped cream. Now just whisk until it is fluffy and there you go! Easy ☺️

You can try adding gelatin too, it holds the mousse better
