I reached the point of numbness and finally took my 3 children to safety 3 hours from where I lived. We all have CPTSD and it's my fault for not being a responsible parent to my children by leaving. The first night of freedom my son said Mum I can sleep with my window open and not worry about Dad turning up drunk knocking on the window to let him in. He was 14 yrs old. Children have a 90% chance of reliving the bad example they learn growing up. It is far more heartbreaking to see your children suffer later in life as I have. ❤🙏 We become accountable to God when we allow another person to continue in their bad behaviour to us and innocent children, without consequences for their actions.

I've often thought of this. These great writers of horror novels and movies, I think they inadvertently sin or at least are used by the devil. They put so many gruesome and squirmy ideas out there in their stories, which evil and insane people may pick up and try to carry out in real life against innocent victims. The story is actually giving them ideas they wouldn't have come up with on their own. I used to love a good horror story, but now I just shudder at them, seeing them as just so much demonic content.
@@donm-tv8cm I think you are correct. Years ago I had a "good idea" for a horror movie or book. As I considered writing out the story in more details, I couldn't square the idea of delving deeper into the plot and details because I would have to deliberately think like a deranged murderer to do so. That did not seem like a way to honor God with the gifts He has given to me. I decided against it. The temptation re-emerged from time to time for a few years, but it never felt right. Here I am years later looking back and seeing much more clearly that producing that material would not have edified anyone nor honored Christ. In fact, I think it would have caused me interior damage + hurt my Christian witness before others. Recognizing from where those thoughts dropped in is actually a bit disgusting now. I don't think I ever told anyone about it until now, but since you brought it up. 🤷♀️

Yup. Now i know im not crazy. Because, there is a thought that crosses my mind that, i need to be Christ like. A perfect lamb without blemish or spots. To skip the purgtory. And how to be like that, i need to cleanse myself. Get rid of all trash in me. First i did confession. And i ask God for the strength, knowledge, wisdom to get rid of all 7 deadly spirits that causes me to sin. And i replace them with virtues. Patience, humility, kind, generous, contentment, discipline etc. And its all fueled by my love to the Lord Jesus and to the One who sent Him. Because for 32 years He never cease to keep knocking on my door, He never cease to provide all the things i need, and protection and guidance. I never appreciate everything that He have done. Until last year, when i get a chance to stop for a moment, stop chasing this worldly desires and pleasures that leads me to sin and count my blessings, and read the Bible and gain knowledge and wisdom. If parents push too hard on what they forbid their children to do, it will have the opposite impact on them. It will make it more attractive. I'm sure these priests forbid watching South Park, but there was a very enlightening episode. I think it was the Chinpokomon episode. In this episode the South Park kids are obsessed with Chinese pokemon, so the parents pretend as though they love it too. The kids lose interest in it. It was no longer cool because they thought their parents liked it too. Perhaps these parents should start dress like these lame KPOP people. That would have embarrassed me back in the day.
I think the solution here is to *educate* the kids instead of outright forbidding something, unless we're talking about life or death here. In regards to Pokemon, it's actually pretty easy to turn kids away from it. You just need to do some research and show your kids the demonic roots of that stupid franchise. I mean, it's easy to point out the horrible life lessons, or lack thereof, which is taught in the Pokemon series. Simply do that and your kids will most likely be absolutely disgusted with Pokemon, and then they'll discover that there are much better games to play out there. Easy, huh?! 😮

Excellent video, as usual.😁 My younger sister, who’s 62, loves K-pop; I think it’s hilarious 😆🤣 I wouldn’t say she’s obsessed exactly, but she knows all the names of the boys in her favorite groups & knows a lot about their lives as published. She also loves kdrama, especially the romances. She says she likes them because they have sweet stories without all of the sex & violence. The steamiest they get is ending the story with a kiss. about 40 yrs ago I was a young man, not married, with a struggle against impure thoughts -- I found myself driving down a road near a beach -- I avoided looking at the beach and that prevented one source of impure thinking -- but on the road ahead of me a woman was walking on the road and she was immodestly dressed -- I said to GOD "I have to look at her, or else I might hit her with my car but if I look at her, I would give in to lust" -- GOD heard me -- I looked straight at the woman, I passed her without endangering her, and to this day I have NO image in my mind of her
In connection with the pornography... I started watching porn when I was about 8 or 10 years old. As a 38old man I am still struggling with it. I do go to confession whenever I commit the sin but this year I think I can count on my hand how many times I fell into that trap again after watching porn at least 4 times a day. Now I'm practicing to my gaze. It's extremely hard and everyday I fall. Funny enough the phone is easy not to look but outside is hard. Back to how I set myself up for success where pornography is concerned... I set my Internet settings to family mode so that my DNS does not allow me to access any porn sites. And I would have to deactivate it which makes me feel more guilty... I've been tempted almost everyday to go back but I fight and I pray. I've even changed my password in prayer form so that I can always remember to pray each time I need to put in my password.

He was sitting in a large chair, dressed entirely in black and he struck me on the face and demanded that I stop talking about him,. The strike was so bad that I woke up and physically felt the blow.
Can you ask Father if people like many devout Catholics are becoming obsessed with end times? Not that anyone knows but i do believe that the actual end of the world will not be anytime soon. Confessing mortal sin is vital. But how do you get rid of the punishment related to this sin? Confession cleans the soul but purgatory is for the reparation of the sins. Is that right? How do we remove the punishment?
Plenary indulgences which can be achieved through prayer like the family Rosary or praying with a group in Church or the Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena from Good Friday to Divine Mercy Sunday. The Church offers different ways to obtain either plenary or partial indulgences. Also pray the Rosary daily and remember to keep the 5 First Saturdays devotion. First Friday is also a good idea and has been somewhat forgotten about.

If you are faithful to the Rosary and the 5 First Saturdays I'm pretty sure you'll spend little time in purgatory for your temporal sin. Purgatory is apparently no picnic but you do eventually make it to heaven.

But why should fans get to that level of obsession is down to the individual. The fans have to get a grip on themselves and recognise transference effects and call it for what it really is. Get real. I would be more afraid if my kid obsessed with smartphone than KPOP BTS. Because if they obsessed with smartphone, they'll be like an autism patient and absorbed into it, but when they obsessed with BTS, they'll sing, dance, and maybe talk about it with their friends. To be honest, I don't want to be too obsessed to Jesus like I obsessed to, like singers, idols, etc, although I'm a Christian. Because for me, Jesus is like a teacher. We cannot do it on our own. We need the help of the Saints who have gone before us...the Greatest of whom is Our Lady. To break a bad habit calls for the cultivation of good habits...practicing the virtues and eliminating the vices through the gift of God's Grace. I can't tell you how many times - and how many different Priests, and in different parishes -- I had to confess the same sins over and over again. Believe it or not, there is a "good guilt" which I believe the Holy Spirit lays on our hearts, in order to help move us to cease from those sins which both offends against God And "snuffs out the Spirit"/severs us from the Grace which God is always pouring down upon us. An example to practice in prayer is calling upon the Saint(s) who have had the same struggles we have. St. Francis of Assisi and St. Teresa of Avila struggled with "sins of the flesh"; they are powerful intercessors against sins of that nature, and in increasing our strength and practice of the opposite virtues. Kpop is an industry that thrives on building relationship and community out of a common intrest. Targeting the people who most want to be part of something; that being the young and lonely. I too got obsessed with a Kpop group and its because of the above. I was lonely and dicouraged for a long time, and their music and message and community really encouraged and inspired me. It caused me to procrastinate ending my own life. But because it was all that i knew; it became an obsession. Most of their songs are wholesome but there are more and more adult themes being promoted nowadays by some groups. And there are some inudendos and suggestive content produced by some fans. As I got closer to God, I realised I needed to detach from this kpop group i adored. I needed to adore Jesus more than Kpop artists. I needed to find inspiration in people that lived for God more, rather than in modern icons of success. What do i really value? Jesus promises so much for eternity if we give up more here on Earth. That's what I want; an eternity spent in riches and God's glory. This life on earth is so short, and so it is worth mortifying myself for the shortterm, in anticipation for the longest term! I still listen to their songs and watch their content, but Catholic content has become the bulk of my online consumption. Simply because i became more intrested in how the saints lived and finding out what pleases God. This was a process for me, and such a change in intrest will not happen over night for your children. For parents worried about their children being obsessed with certain celebrities and music; father is right. I also suggest spending more time with them, and show them how intrested you are in them and their intrests, out of love. Show them how intresting and exciting Catholic tradition is. Soon they won't feel the need to fill their time amd thoughts with popular culture, as more of their time is filled with spending time enjoying real connections with family and God. It will take some time, but be patient and loving. It's not easy to be parents of the faith in mordern times, and ultimately it has to be a choice made by them.

I had the same experience with heavy metal. I got into bands like Fear Factory when I was constantly angry all of the time due to a neglected and abusive childhood. Now, I don't think that the music artists themselves are evil, because there is much darker music out there and these people were honest with their music's intent, but it felt like their music was speaking to me because of the hole in my life. One of the lyrics I remember is, "There was no love. There was no love for me. There was only hatred." When I heard that I thought, "Holy $&#!, these guys understand me!" And so I became a big metal fan after that. But these days I listen mostly to classical music and electronic music. Remember, parents, spend time with your kids!
I used to work in a warehouse and I would hear voices in my head telling me to do things and if I didn’t do what the voices told me to do, they would threaten me and tell me I will be going to hell and at that time I’d say that I was agnostic and the voices would tell me that if I didn’t do what they would tell me to do and I would be getting disemboweled as soon as I arrived in hell, until one day I watch a RUclips video And it was a video of a preacher telling me to accept Jesus in my life and as soon as I did this, the voices I was hearing immediately stopped, and I was amazed, and this brought me to tears, and I also got clean from watching pornography!

Once I had sleep paralysis and a snake tongue came out of my mouth … it felt real. I am cradle Catholic and my parents were divorced at the time. They reunited and I received the anointing of the sick sacrament twice. Other nightmares I won’t go into but I was in hell. I also experienced the opposite where I met Christ and all I felt was warmth. God bless.

I've had some pretty scary experiences myself; and my dreams used to be So terrifying that I would have flashes/images of them for weeks and months ! I finally begged the Lord to take them from me, and not let me have anymore of them. The Lord has answered my prayers, and I don't dream at all anymore...at least not that I can ever remember. Buddhism started out as a TEACHING to remove suffering from one’s life. Buddhism works for that. Religion does not. You can be a catholic Buddhist, since Buddhism was never intended to be a religion but a self help philosophy. To try and suggest that it is evil is a bit much. In fact it aligns with the Bible in terms of detachment from sin (desire).

Regarding the father who's worried about his daughter's "obsession" with K-Pop and BTS, I'm curious as to what he meant by "obsession". While it's true that too much of anything isn't usually a good thing, I know of many instances when BTS' influence had young people studying more, being more respectful, even turning away from suicidal thoughts. If the daughter's "obsession" has her doing something questionable, like stealing money to buy fan merchandise, then the father definitely should be worried. If she's buying the merchandise, it's pretty normal. Trying to learn the Korean language or trying to learn more about the culture, isn't that a wholesome way to learn about other cultures? I think the father should try to understand his daughter more, see why she likes the stuff that she likes instead of immediately concluding it's bad. Actually, K-pop and K-drama, unlike many western forms of entertainment, are cleaner. Rarely will there be a show that includes sex or profanity. Much of it promotes the culture, the cuisine, the beautiful sites within the country, and it promotes many practices and values that are positive, like respect for the elders. In fact, there are many parents who have seen the positive influence K-Pop/BTS/K-drama have on their children. There are even videos where BTS encourages their young fans to study hard. I haven't watched or listened to anything western in a long, long time because much of it is so negative or too focused on wordly pleasures. But I've been listening to K-Pop, BTS and watching K-drama because it's much, much cleaner. A parent should still be alert regarding the choices his or her child makes, but Korean material is generally much safer and cleaner. I'd advise the father to go watch some of his daughter's favorite videos to see if his fears are warranted. Forcing his daughter not to watch or listen to her favorites without even understanding her might only hurt their relationship unnecessarily.

It may "help" with people struggling who are struggling with depression and anxiety issues, but I see it as just putting a bandaid over the pain and not focusing on the root of the pain. I used to listen to BTS, and I still had depression, it was a fake happiness that I felt during that time. Jesus only heals, he is the one that can help people get out of their struggles and pains.

In the case of an abusive husband/father I know many families where the wife/mother led her children in our Holy Catholic faith, those women are unrecognized heroes! Today there are so many fatherless families the priests should stop speaking as though there were fathers in every family. Evan if there are, often it is the mother who leads the children in the Catholic faith. She is the spiritual head of household.

@spiritualwarA few years ago one of my neighbors (female widow with a young teenage daughter) explained to me (divorced mother of two young teenagers) the reason she stopped going to church - she said because there are way too many divorced single moms in our church. At the time I felt horrible my stomach turning and my head aching with so much guilt and remorse because I believed she aimed that answer directly at me. I almost stopped going to mass because of her. My x husband is now deceased, but back then I was carrying around a lot of extra baggage and at one point shortly after I tried to avoid her and maybe even had hate in my heart for her and the remark she issued. I prayed months on the issue and the hate and fear went away. God bless us and save us.
I listened to a talk years ago by Father Basil Nortz on the moral nature of music. He demonstrates, even apart from the lyrics, how most modern music is evil, and harmful. I very much recommend it.
I think a good plan is to look at Jesus on the Cross, to pray to the Holy Spirit for His strength and to ask our Lady to help us to be Holy and pure like she and her son Jesus are, so we will do Nothing to offend the goodness and merciful love of God.

Starting in the 1960s, they were demonstrating the ability to change our jet stream and target individual states to have a record adverse event. When a non-natural looking event or series of them occur here or in NATO countries, look what we're doing to Russia and her allies economically and militarily. It may be weather warfare. Since the average person cannot handle the truth, the fed gov and media would release a cover story to keep the public unaware.

Sandralori21 As parents with children our first duty is too protect our children against all evil. I lived your heartbreak and prayed till I was too tired to pray. I reached the point of numbness and finally took my 3 children to safety 3 hours from where I lived. We all have CPTSD and it's my fault for not being a responsible parent to my children by leaving. The first night of freedom my son said Mum I can sleep with my window open and not worry about Dad turning up drunk knocking on the window to let him in. He was 14 yrs old. Children have a 90% chance of reliving the bad example they learn growing up. It is far more heartbreaking to see your children suffer later in life as I have. ❤🙏

“All fears and anxiety come from satan.” This confirms something that I see: I know someone who writes “horror novels.” He has much anxiety and nervousness that has increased over the years, as he continues to write them.
I've often thought of this. These great writers of horror novels and movies, I think they inadvertently sin or at least are used by the devil. They put so many gruesome and squirmy ideas out there in their stories, which evil and insane people may pick up and try to carry out in real life against innocent victims. The story is actually giving them ideas they wouldn't have come up with on their own. I used to love a good horror story, but now I just shudder at them, seeing them as just so much demonic content.
@@donm-tv8cm I think you are correct. Years ago I had a "good idea" for a horror movie or book. As I considered writing out the story in more details, I couldn't square the idea of delving deeper into the plot and details because I would have to deliberately think like a deranged murderer to do so. That did not seem like a way to honor God with the gifts He has given to me. I decided against it. The temptation re-emerged from time to time for a few years, but it never felt right. Here I am years later looking back and seeing much more clearly that producing that material would not have edified anyone nor honored Christ. In fact, I think it would have caused me interior damage + hurt my Christian witness before others. Recognizing from where those thoughts dropped in is actually a bit disgusting now. I don't think I ever told anyone about it until now, but since you brought it up. 🤷♀️

Yup. Now i know im not crazy. Because, there is a thought that crosses my mind that, i need to be Christ like. A perfect lamb without blemish or spots. To skip the purgtory. And how to be like that, i need to cleanse myself. Get rid of all trash in me. First i did confession. And i ask God for the strength, knowledge, wisdom to get rid of all 7 deadly spirits that causes me to sin. And i replace them with virtues. Patience, humility, kind, generous, contentment, discipline etc. And its all fueled by my love to the Lord Jesus and to the One who sent Him. Because for 32 years He never cease to keep knocking on my door, He never cease to provide all the things i need, and protection and guidance. I never appreciate everything that He have done. Until last year, when i get a chance to stop for a moment, stop chasing this worldly desires and pleasures that leads me to sin and count my blessings, and read the Bible and gain knowledge and wisdom. Now, its time for me to give back to God whats for Him. And walk in His ways, and let, His will be done to me. Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit!
My advice to the people who struggle of lust, if your mission to get rid of that. Cut off the root of that sin. Start with, get off the social media, pornography, or watching television, or news. Because these are the portals to make you sin. Remember the eyes is light of the body. And start filling yourself with the word of God. Read Bible, watch mass in the internet. Or anything related to God, to the faith, to the reality. To the truth. And go to sunday mass. Its important. Confession also. About the confession, because the church is far away from where i live, i train myself to be slothful, it means i keep telling myself that if i sin, i have to travel very far to confess my sin. So in order not to travel, i will not do sinful acts. Its not simple, but once you get used to it, then congratulation. You get rid of that sin of lust.
Then you move on to the next sin you want to get rid.

If parents push too hard on what they forbid their children to do, it will have the opposite impact on them. It will make it more attractive. I'm sure these priests forbid watching South Park, but there was a very enlightening episode. I think it was the Chinpokomon episode. In this episode the South Park kids are obsessed with Chinese pokemon, so the parents pretend as though they love it too. The kids lose interest in it. It was no longer cool because they thought their parents liked it too. Perhaps these parents should start dress like these lame KPOP people. That would have embarrassed me back in the day.
So the solution, is just for parents to be parents 😂
I think the solution here is to *educate* the kids instead of outright forbidding something, unless we're talking about life or death here. In regards to Pokemon, it's actually pretty easy to turn kids away from it. You just need to do some research and show your kids the demonic roots of that stupid franchise. I mean, it's easy to point out the horrible life lessons, or lack thereof, which is taught in the Pokemon series. Simply do that and your kids will most likely be absolutely disgusted with Pokemon, and then they'll discover that there are much better games to play out there. Easy, huh?! 😮

He's right, If you're struggling with maturation, guard your eyes and don't give up. Additionally, increase the amount of work you're doing (don't be lazy) and start fasting. Fasting makes you stronger spiritually. Work also steels you against temptation.

My younger sister, who’s 62, loves K-pop; I think it’s hilarious 😆🤣 I wouldn’t say she’s obsessed exactly, but she knows all the names of the boys in her favorite groups & knows a lot about their lives as published. She also loves kdrama, especially the romances. She says she likes them because they have sweet stories without all of the sex & violence. The steamiest they get is ending the story with a kiss.

about 40 yrs ago I was a young man, not married, with a struggle against impure thoughts -- I found myself driving down a road near a beach -- I avoided looking at the beach and that prevented one source of impure thinking -- but on the road ahead of me a woman was walking on the road and she was immodestly dressed -- I said to GOD "I have to look at her, or else I might hit her with my car but if I look at her, I would give in to lust" -- GOD heard me -- I looked straight at the woman, I passed her without endangering her, and to this day I have NO image in my mind of her
In connection with the pornography... I started watching porn when I was about 8 or 10 years old. As a 38old man I am still struggling with it. I do go to confession whenever I commit the sin but this year I think I can count on my hand how many times I fell into that trap again after watching porn at least 4 times a day.
Now I'm practicing to my gaze. It's extremely hard and everyday I fall. Funny enough the phone is easy not to look but outside is hard.
Back to how I set myself up for success where pornography is concerned... I set my Internet settings to family mode so that my DNS does not allow me to access any porn sites. And I would have to deactivate it which makes me feel more guilty... I've been tempted almost everyday to go back but I fight and I pray. I've even changed my password in prayer form so that I can always remember to pray each time I need to put in my password.

Realize that both pornography and masturbation are intertwined with demonic oppression. You are not only fighting your own addiction, which can be greatly conquered through confession, scripture memorization and a plan of action which you practice, but also consider finding someone knowledgeable about deliverance. Prepare for a deliverance session after fasting, praying and scripture memorization. Fast for 2 or 3 days prior to the deliverance,
i remember i became a fan of BTS when i was 11, i haven’t been a fan for a while now but i remember the strong obsession i had and how it would interfere with my concentration at school and even make me feel physically sick 💀 looking back the way i acted was certainly demonic, not to mention the amount of inappropriate and lustful communities back then linked to the band made by fans. like i literally idolised them. it was terrible …😢

Get to know them, their friends, what they’re struggling with and how you can help them find balance in their life rather than lose them because of misunderstanding and miscommunication.

Confessing mortal sin is vital. But how do you get rid of the punishment related to this sin? Confession cleans the soul but purgatory is for the reparation of the sins. Is that right? How do we remove the punishment?
Plenary indulgences which can be achieved through prayer like the family Rosary or praying with a group in Church or the Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena from Good Friday to Divine Mercy Sunday.
The Church offers different ways to obtain either plenary or partial indulgences.
Also pray the Rosary daily and remember to keep the 5 First Saturdays devotion.
First Friday is also a good idea and has been somewhat forgotten about.

BTS lyrics are social commentaries of what South Korean youths are going through and tries to encourage youths with positive messages. But why should fans get to that level of obsession is down to the individual. The fans have to get a grip on themselves and recognise transference effects and call it for what it really is. Get real. Take your heads down from among the clouds and get grounded. If they’re really honest with themselves, they are focussed on the shallow I.e. looks, dance and boys.

Because if they obsessed with smartphone, they'll be like an autism patient and absorbed into it, but when they obsessed with BTS, they'll sing, dance, and maybe talk about it with their friends. I can't tell you how many times - and how many different Priests, and in different parishes -- I had to confess the same sins over and over again.
Believe it or not, there is a "good guilt" which I believe the Holy Spirit lays on our hearts, in order to help move us to cease from those sins which both offends against God And "snuffs out the Spirit"/severs us from the Grace which God is always pouring down upon us.
An example to practice in prayer is calling upon the Saint(s) who have had the same struggles we have.
St. Francis of Assisi and St. Teresa of Avila struggled with "sins of the flesh"; they are powerful intercessors against sins of that nature, and in increasing our strength and practice of the opposite virtues.

Kpop is an industry that thrives on building relationship and community out of a common intrest. Targeting the people who most want to be part of something; that being the young and lonely.
I too got obsessed with a Kpop group and its because of the above. I was lonely and dicouraged for a long time, and their music and message and community really encouraged and inspired me. It caused me to procrastinate ending my own life. But because it was all that i knew; it became an obsession.
Most of their songs are wholesome but there are more and more adult themes being promoted nowadays by some groups. And there are some inudendos and suggestive content produced by some fans.
As I got closer to God, I realised I needed to detach from this kpop group i adored. I needed to adore Jesus more than Kpop artists. I needed to find inspiration in people that lived for God more, rather than in modern icons of success. What do i really value? Jesus promises so much for eternity if we give up more here on Earth. That's what I want; an eternity spent in riches and God's glory. This life on earth is so short, and so it is worth mortifying myself for the shortterm, in anticipation for the longest term!
I still listen to their songs and watch their content, but Catholic content has become the bulk of my online consumption. Simply because i became more intrested in how the saints lived and finding out what pleases God. This was a process for me, and such a change in intrest will not happen over night for your children.
For parents worried about their children being obsessed with certain celebrities and music; father is right. I also suggest spending more time with them, and show them how intrested you are in them and their intrests, out of love. Show them how intresting and exciting Catholic tradition is. Soon they won't feel the need to fill their time amd thoughts with popular culture, as more of their time is filled with spending time enjoying real connections with family and God. It will take some time, but be patient and loving. It's not easy to be parents of the faith in mordern times, and ultimately it has to be a choice made by them.
I feel like we also need to detach from our phones, and I know how ironic that sounds me being on a phone. But for a lot of people, including myself, it has become an obsession.

I had the same experience with heavy metal. I got into bands like Fear Factory when I was constantly angry all of the time due to a neglected and abusive childhood. Now, I don't think that the music artists themselves are evil, because there is much darker music out there and these people were honest with their music's intent, but it felt like their music was speaking to me because of the hole in my life. One of the lyrics I remember is, "There was no love. There was no love for me. There was only hatred."
When I heard that I thought, "Holy $&#!, these guys understand me!" And so I became a big metal fan after that. But these days I listen mostly to classical music and electronic music. Remember, parents, spend time with your kids!
I used to work in a warehouse and I would hear voices in my head telling me to do things and if I didn’t do what the voices told me to do, they would threaten me and tell me I will be going to hell and at that time I’d say that I was agnostic and the voices would tell me that if I didn’t do what they would tell me to do and I would be getting disemboweled as soon as I arrived in hell, until one day I watch a RUclips video And it was a video of a preacher telling me to accept Jesus in my life and as soon as I did this, the voices I was hearing immediately stopped, and I was amazed, and this brought me to tears, and I also got clean from watching pornography!

Once I had sleep paralysis and a snake tongue came out of my mouth … it felt real. I am cradle Catholic and my parents were divorced at the time. They reunited and I received the anointing of the sick sacrament twice. Other nightmares I won’t go into but I was in hell. I also experienced the opposite where I met Christ and all I felt was warmth. God bless.

Buddhism started out as a TEACHING to remove suffering from one’s life. Buddhism works for that. Religion does not. You can be a catholic Buddhist, since Buddhism was never intended to be a religion but a self help philosophy. To try and suggest that it is evil is a bit much. In fact it aligns with the Bible in terms of detachment from sin (desire).

Regarding the father who's worried about his daughter's "obsession" with K-Pop and BTS, I'm curious as to what he meant by "obsession". While it's true that too much of anything isn't usually a good thing, I know of many instances when BTS' influence had young people studying more, being more respectful, even turning away from suicidal thoughts. If the daughter's "obsession" has her doing something questionable, like stealing money to buy fan merchandise, then the father definitely should be worried. If she's buying the merchandise, it's pretty normal. Trying to learn the Korean language or trying to learn more about the culture, isn't that a wholesome way to learn about other cultures?
I think the father should try to understand his daughter more, see why she likes the stuff that she likes instead of immediately concluding it's bad.
Actually, K-pop and K-drama, unlike many western forms of entertainment, are cleaner. Rarely will there be a show that includes sex or profanity. Much of it promotes the culture, the cuisine, the beautiful sites within the country, and it promotes many practices and values that are positive, like respect for the elders.
In fact, there are many parents who have seen the positive influence K-Pop/BTS/K-drama have on their children. There are even videos where BTS encourages their young fans to study hard.
I haven't watched or listened to anything western in a long, long time because much of it is so negative or too focused on wordly pleasures. But I've been listening to K-Pop, BTS and watching K-drama because it's much, much cleaner.
A parent should still be alert regarding the choices his or her child makes, but Korean material is generally much safer and cleaner.
I'd advise the father to go watch some of his daughter's favorite videos to see if his fears are warranted. Forcing his daughter not to watch or listen to her favorites without even understanding her might only hurt their relationship unnecessarily.

It may "help" with people struggling who are struggling with depression and anxiety issues, but I see it as just putting a bandaid over the pain and not focusing on the root of the pain. I used to listen to BTS, and I still had depression, it was a fake happiness that I felt during that time. Jesus only heals, he is the one that can help people get out of their struggles and pains.

In the case of an abusive husband/father I know many families where the wife/mother led her children in our Holy Catholic faith, those women are unrecognized heroes! Today there are so many fatherless families the priests should stop speaking as though there were fathers in every family. Evan if there are, often it is the mother who leads the children in the Catholic faith. She is the spiritual head of household.
Yes, that is a problem. Sure, those women are heroes and they should be recognized as such, but families are supposed to have fathers. This is a call to fathers to get their act together.

@spiritualwarA few years ago one of my neighbors (female widow with a young teenage daughter) explained to me (divorced mother of two young teenagers) the reason she stopped going to church - she said because there are way too many divorced single moms in our church. At the time I felt horrible my stomach turning and my head aching with so much guilt and remorse because I believed she aimed that answer directly at me. I almost stopped going to mass because of her. My x husband is now deceased, but back then I was carrying around a lot of extra baggage and at one point shortly after I tried to avoid her and maybe even had hate in my heart for her and the remark she issued. I prayed months on the issue and the hate and fear went away. God bless us and save us.
I listened to a talk years ago by Father Basil Nortz on the moral nature of music. He demonstrates, even apart from the lyrics, how most modern music is evil, and harmful. I very much recommend it.
I think a good plan is to look at Jesus on the Cross, to pray to the Holy Spirit for His strength and to ask our Lady to help us to be Holy and pure like she and her son Jesus are, so we will do Nothing to offend the goodness and merciful love of God.
