    Thank you, Father! Such great common sense.
    22 years ago, 3 years after I became a Christian, I was struck with chronic spine pain. It's never left me. When I became Catholic I realized it was God's gift to me of something painful I couldn't dodge. I can never stick with voluntary penances but this pain I can offer Him and Our Lady every single day, hour to hour. And I thank Him for it.

    This talk randomly showed up on my feed and when Father explained how Jesus sent the man who had been possessed back home to deal with the source of his demons (family), that struck a nerve with me and I just wailed and wailed. Those demons have a way of digging in to our lives and it was important for me to look back at what happened during my childhood to discover why my addiction has such a hold on me. Thanks so much, Father. Great talk!!!

      @kermierogers7876 amazing coincidence. My sister today. And I had to end our texting because of her word choices. And after. Spent hours wondering what happened to her and as a child? I know my parents did so much for all of us. So what happened to this sister that her word choices are like demonic daggers. It's weird.

    Prayer is a weapon, even the guardian angels encourage it, as it is extremely effective, when the chips are down and I mean seriously down and you have nothing left to combat with the rosary really delivers!!! When you are in a tight corner and you don’t know what to do ask the Holy Spirit how to pray and it is truely amazing how quickly a situation turns….you would be left with a holy fear…. People don’t know where their prayers are best applied some go straight to the front lines where the fighting is fiercest, you may have helped to save lives you don’t even know about…just because you don’t see results for a specific request it doesn’t mean there hasn’t been an answer! The guardian angels know combat so…..I wouldn’t underestimate St. Michael for a second. With humility is his sword wielded. The power he can wield would frighten the dickens out of legions of demons and then some.

    Love hearing everything you said! Thank you for your info. I've been experiencing demonic attacks at night in the form of cats walking on my bed, putting their claws in my feet. Demons are so real! I have been running back into Jesus arms. Confession, Mass, praying Rosary everyday and prayer warrior ladies praying for me has helped. The demonic cats are still with me, but have calmed down and hopeful in time will be cast off.

    I found it offensive that not one person who had a question addressed this Holy man as "Father". Here lies a great watering down of the person of our Catholic priests! They are representatives of Jesus Christ, they reflect his persona, they bring the sacraments to us, they pray unceasingly for us, they should be addressed properly always!!! Dear Father Ambrose, thank you for all you do to save souls, may God reward you abundantly, and may Our Blessed Mother wrap her protective mantel around you and all the seminarians in formation to become Christ's representatives! I'm so thankful my Mother taught me to stand up if a priest ever walked into a room and to always greet and say goodbye to him by calling him "Father". May we love and pray unceasingly for Catholic priests everywhere and be forever grateful for their presence!

    • @deluge848

      @ann-marie9621 more watering down of who a priest is, it doesn't matter if they knew him, that doesn't give you a pass. It all boils down to poor formation of knowing who a Catholic priest is.

    • @greenacresgirl6259
      @greenacresgirl6259 9 месяцев назад

      Also, the practice of calling a priest, "Father (first name)," instead of, "Father (last name)," is also a lack of respect. A validly ordained priest is persona Christi, not your buddy. Please always address your priests as, "Father (last name)," even if that's not his preference. He should be encouraging respect for his priesthood.

    Prayer works but it is not magic. The cross works but it is a cross. The sacraments work but they mean a new life. A good start though is to offer it up. To give whatever sufferings will come to you this day to God and accept it all (as the blows land) with great praise and love of God as a prayer for a neighbour who may be lost.

      thanks for that. I'll change a few things But as for the idea itself I practice it every day because I bear a cross. So over the yrs I have had much experience with what catholics call redemptive suffering. By the grace of God it works but the practice always lessens the pain (ie severe discomfort) of my own condition as well as being a kind of prayer that enters into a participation of the Lord's Passion. See St. Paul Col 1:24. Congratulations on your beautiful user-name. Fr Isidore Kennedy OFM an unusual man had that said of him too. @@theonewhomjesusloves7360
